All of the wonderful things we got at the Parade. Katie was standing in the middle of two older kid groups and was having problems getting things before the older kids got them. So Mike's cousins stepped in and helped her out. These are the things we left with: candy of course, many bead necklaces, a mini ball, a headband, firework poppers, a tie, and a projection system that projects Disney stories onto the wall. Very cool! Katie had a blast!

The firework show. Katie liked it. She kept comparing the colors in the sky to her necklaces. Ethan liked the fireworks too. We were surprised because Katie didn't appreciate them at that age. He just watched in awe although he wasn't interested enough to stay awake for the finale.

We played at the park before the firework show. Ethan loves it when Daddy throws him into the air. He just giggles!

Little Ethan

Ethan went in for his 9mo check up a few weeks ago. He gained less than a pound, his head barely grew and he grew an inch in length. The DR was so concerned about his head not growing that he remeasured it himself. DR says we'll see how he is doing at the 12mo check up (Sept) and go from there.

Ethan has found the computer keyboard! I was in Excel the other day when Ethan decided to type. This is what he typed...xcxxcxxxcxxcxxASS. We couldn't help but laugh.

Ethan is now standing on his own for brief moments. He claps. He loves to walk across the living room pushing his dump truck. He also likes drawing on his sisters magna doodle.

His words: MAMA, DADA, DIDI. DIDI as in Katie? It's cute. His favorite foods: Sweet Potatoes, Lasagna & Spaghetti. He loves to play with Katie. They wrestle all the time. We're always reminding Katie that Ethan is still a baby. When Katie goes to bed at night, Ethan will sit in front of her door and knock because he wants her to come out and play. It's cute!

3/2010 "Whoa! The grass is yellow!" The snow melted away and Katie was surprised the grass was yellow.

2/2010 We did FHE on 'Order,' everybody has a job in the family. This is what followed while we were eating our treat. Katie said "Everybody is sitting in the wrong seats! You're suppose to be there....you're suppose to be there, etc....THAT'S NOT ORDER!" (Ethan was in Daddy's chair, Daddy was in Katie's, Katie was in Mommy's and Mommy was in Ethan's)

2/2010 Alicia to Katie "You have Daddy shaped feet and Ethan has Mommy shaped feet!" Katie"No! Your feet are still there and mine are still there and Daddy's are still there. We all have our own feet!"

12/2009 "I'm going to DC today!" With back pack on, packed and ready to go. "My Grandparents live there!"

12/2009 It was about 10pm, Katie had been in bed for a couple of hours. We start to hear singing. She was sitting on her bed with her feet dangling off, singing. Alicia"Who are you singing to?" Katie"Everybody asleep." A"Have you slept yet?" K"No." A"What have you been doing?" K"Singing."

12/2009 "Mommy, I'm watching TV on my phone." Her "phone" was an Uno game card.

12/2009 "I'm uploading a picture to facebook"

12/2009 "The truck lost its thing! That's not good." The last time we saw this particular truck it had a trailer attached.

9/24/09 "I want to eat kitty cat beans." One day I mentioned kidney beans and Katie heard that as kitty beans and well if they are kitty beans, they must be called kitty cat beans.

9/22/09 Katie said "I can't eat anymore, I'll get a headache in my tummy"

9/17/09 Katie said "I have a broken ankle collarbone!" Whenever something hurts she calls it a collarbone because of when she broke her collarbone. Its funny.

9/12/09 Katie likes to take her crib mattress and place it on the ground to play on (which she's not suppose to do). So I said, "Don't walk on your crib mattress" to which she replied, "No this is a fashion show!" ...No more Project Runway for this girl :)

8/26/09 "My flower is tired," said very sadly. She had been holding a flower for a while during a walk and it started wilting so she thought it was tired as it was bending over.

"Those are lights, don't put those with the darks!" I was told!

8/5/09 "Do you want to go to church with us?" There must have been something taught in Primary about Missionary work because Katie found some nice people at the grocery store to ask if they wanted to join us.

7/30/09 "Those gushums peed in my mouth!" Katie's first encounter with gushers.

7/25/09 "Look! My stomach is moving all by itself." I asked her Why? and she said "It's because I ate lots of chips!" I think she was actually watching herself breathe.

7/2009 I said "I don't think you should eat that, it might make your tummy upset." She said "no it won't, it will make it happy."

When she does something wrong, she says "No, Harry Potter did it!"

"It's slippy" instead of it's slippery.

"We played in the sprinkles!" instead of sprinklers.

"My foot is tingly, feel it!" Her foot fell asleep while she was sitting on it and insisted that I could feel the tingles too!
