Working bigger

I have started working on larger pieces.  A bit out of my comfort zone but the results are worth it. This one is 3 times the size of my previous largest ones.

Oh yes. Him indoors had to replace the tyres on his bike before a big ride this weekend down to Phillip Island.

St Vincent's exhibition: First day

We had a little opening this afternoon.  Thank you to all who came.

8 sold in one day.  Amazing stuff!

The show is on until 24 March - as it's the foyer of a public hospital it's open 24/7.

These paintings are mostly still life and florals.  I have started experimenting again with my 'sewn paper' technique.  I sew pieces of paper together like a patchwork and paint on the resulting piece.  The paint reacts slightly differently to each paper type and creates more texture.
