Update November to February

Wayyyy back in November i went to Phoenix to spend my 29th birthday with my family because Marty had to be out of town on business.  I had a wonderful birthday and it was filled with fun and surprises.  I ended up being there for almost the whole month of November because my dad got a horrible kidney infection and I wanted to stay until he was better, it made for a crazy month but it was a super fun trip and a little scary too having my dad be sick, but he got better quick and life went back to normal.

Basically had sleep overs with my sister every night.  She is the best. We have so much fun together.

I visited my dad at the hospital a lot... I have got to be his favorite right???

On December 14th was our 8th wedding anniversary.  I am just starting to feel a little old between only being in my 20's one more year and getting closer to a decade of marriage...geez...
Marty really nailed this one... he surprised me, he came straight home from a business trip told me to pack a bag and we stayed downtown for the night at little america... we went to a movie and ate at melting pot, we also ate breakfast at little america the next morning.  I really hit the jackpot in the romantic husband department... sometimes i feel bad because i am not the romantic mushy type, but i know how lucky i am to have a husband that cares so much and always goes above and beyond for me on special occasions..

Then Christmas came.... i know I am skipping Thanksgiving but honestly it was pretty uneventful, we ate and we left.. i hate thanksgiving food and its my least favorite holiday... moving on to Christmas...

Every other year Marty and I got to Arizona and I do not put up any Christmas Decorations at my house.  But this year Christmas was in Utah so we put them up.. It is fun but too much work and I am glad I don't have to do it every year.

For my parents present this year I had some cute pictures taken of Bradley and his cousin Aubrey and sent them to my parents framed... here's the finished product... it was a big hit with them

I love this picture of the two of them

This picture managed to show all of Bradley's favorite Christmas gift, his trains, Lego's, basketball hoop and my personal favorite his new DC shoes.

We went to Zoo Lights and Temple Square Lights.

In January marty turned 32!!! He spent his birthday going to a movie and dinner with all of his family and of course I got him some cupcakes from The Sweet Tooth Fairy.  I cant believe he is 32, he was 23 when i met him... such a grown up!

In January I also met up with my best friend of all time, we have been friends since we were 14 and basically living in separate states does not work for us, so grand gestures must be done to spend some time together.. this was the best trip... we laughed and cried... (how embarrassing) we also stayed up very late every night and woke up waaay to early every morning... we ate the best foods ever, shopped a lot, and saw a stupid but funny movie... we worked out together every morning and drove around all the coolest parts of Seattle..  I just love this girl, we have been through so many years of highs and lows in life and through it all we have the best memories together.  We missed our kids and husbands terribly and were so glad to get back to them, but so thankful we got to have this time together....

Basically the most amazing view ever...

First Starbucks... I have been to Seattle before and stopped here but needed a picture this time as Starbucks is actually my favorite place to grab a snack even though I am not a coffee drinker I am a regular at my local Starbucks...

Just trying on clothes

We had the coolest view in our hotel at breakfast every morning

To finish out January my family came in town... fun weekend with them and i wish they would just move to Utah already... geez

I'm getting lazy

Blogging is low on the priority list for a busy mom who has instagram to update family and friends, but I am not giving up on this blog, we have been together too long.. here is the most current update of life happenings.

In September we went to Vegas, Just me and the husband it was a short trip but a relaxing get away to go to the pool and eat some good food. I missed Bradley though.

In October we went with Marty and His Brothers Family to San Antonio, This is where I grew up so this was a very exciting trip for me;  We got to do all the tourist things like the riverwalk, Sea World, The Alamo and the Zoo, but I also go to show Marty where I grew up.  It was lots of fun and a little exhausting traveling with a then 18 month old.

 Other Happenings:
Before all this traveling Marty actually took a week off for a staycation at home. We were able to go to a movie and the zoo and just hang out as a family.  It was nice to have dad home.
