As Featured in the June Issue Of Paperclips

We were fondly mentioned in the latest issue of Paperclips.

Each year, the National Stationery Show attracts a wide range of retailers from coast to coast – and beyond the U.S. – who travel to New York City to find the best stationery-related products for their stores.
Edie Frère, owner/president of Landis Gifts & Stationery in Los Angeles, CA, has been coming to the National Stationery Show for 20 years. The reason she makes the annual cross-country trek, she says, is because the NSS is the one place where she reconnects with her regular vendors to see what's new, and where she finds new sources – of which she found many.
"I loved Whisker Graphics, which has really cute little printed treat bags as well as labels and twine," shares Frère. "I also loved a company called My Buddy Pal, which features whimsical and adorable illustrations of the artist's dog." Another of Frère's favorite finds was Monahan Papers' kraft gift bags and greeting cards, especially the card that reads: "Let's Not Discuss This Now." Additionally, she liked many of the new invitation albums she saw – as well as their reasonable price points – and placed orders with Smock and Page Stationery, among others.
"I think the NSS is the only way to find new companies that don't have reps," adds Frère. "We're a small store, so I like buying from small companies and helping new businesses – that's part of the fun." She also found the Show easy to navigate. "It wasn't overwhelming, and I finished this year without a sense of panic," she relates.
Frère's positive NSS experience extended beyond the Show floor. She attended the Future Conference on Sunday morning, which she describes as spectacular. "I loved the quality of the speakers," she states. Another highlight of the NSS for her each year is meeting up at lunchtime with her fellow stationers in Club GLM. All in all, says Frère, "It's totally worth the trip!"

Look for us at Paperchase in May

We are pleased to announce that you will find Monahan Papers at Paperchase in May. Paperchase has over 100 stores in the UK and abroad specializing great selections of stationery, greeting cards, gifts and gift packaging. They have opened many new stores in recent years and plan to continue their expansion throughout the coming year. Paperchase bases it products on strong design and is famous for having designers focus on current fashion trends. The company designs and produces hundreds of products under its own brand name 'Paperchase' but half of its products come from third party designers, mainly their gift cards and everyday stationary!! Thank You Paperchase for adding Monahan Papers to your stores!!!

Here is one of the designs they chose in wrap and cards for Fathers Day. I call it Mustache Men. If you notice there are three mustaches that don't quite fit. They are memories from my youth and one belongs to my father, my grandfather and my uncle. It was a crazy day when I did that design and never did I imagine in would find its way into Paperchase. Who Knew!!!

More NEW FALL GOODIES....

Its September 1st. WOO HOO. Don't you just LOVE this time of year. Its still really hot but I simply love fall decorating. We did a few new paper goodies and dried some mandarin orange slices. I have to say the mandarin oranges are even more fragrant than the regular sliced oranges we do and these are so so cute. I did a new some new paper designs which are available in 11" X 17", 13" X 19" and in wrap rolls of 24" X 36". The wrap rolls are always available on the aged paper as well as Kraft paper. I also did Bathilda Boo in the 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 (A-2 size) card. She is by far my FAVORITE witch design. I hope you ENJOY.
