This is all from more than one flea market trip, I am obviously behind on blogging. I have gotten VERY lucky on Halloween masks this year. The little red riding hood costume is ADORABLE. I feel so lucky to have it!
The hearts on this quilt are unique, but it's destined to be sold.
Unused!
This is child sized and look at the novelty feedsack.
Sewing! Love.
I have a gilded frame sickness.
And one more cutie for that collection too!

Thrifty Thursday
It was a good thrift day that day! That fabric at the bottom is vintage and I SWEAR it's identical to one of my favorite Darlene Zimmerman fabrics.

Master Bedroom done
It took me a few days to round everything up, but our bedroom is finally put back together. I LOVE having all my art together in this gallery wall.
I happened to thrift this old bassinet in the PERFECT color right as I was pondering what to do with this corner.
And after much trolling of facebook marketplace I found a quilt rack that was long enough for over the bed. Actually, it was SO long dave had to cut it down for me. It's a little crowded in that area and I am not sure I love it, but Instagram feedback was positive, so maybe it stays like it is.
I did this room on the cheap. About $50 in paint, $25 for the quilt rack, $1 for the bassinet, $50 for a new rug and $50 for some amazon curtains when my linen closet failed to yield two pairs.

Finally a tooth!
7 years and 9 months later, we finally have lost a tooth!
I had asked the dentist why she was not loosing any teeth and he said her jaw was still so small it was inhibiting the adult teeth from moving.
She has really NOT handled this well though, hopefully it gets better after this. There was some crying about pain and grinding noises (?) and then nearly vomit when it finally came out!
Hopefully a little tooth fairy gift will help ease the transition. I better get sewing on that tooth pouch today!

Just give me all the quilts and no one gets hurt
So, I am at a sale. I find an unopened tote full of quilts. I ask the price. I started digging and sorting. People start backing up behind me. Then they start breathing down my neck and asking me all kinds of questions. I say like three times I AM TRYING TO BUY THESE. Grrrr. If I had had enough cash or easy access to an ATM (I was in the middle of nowhere and it was a huge hike in and no way I was going to try and do it twice so I could get more money), I would have just bought the whole tote and sorted out the bodies later.
I chose the three best ones.
Do I care that I have 9 million quilts? nope. Do I care that I have no place to put them? NOPE!
My close up of this one will NOT save for some reason!
Just give me all the quilts and no one gets hurt.
It was a good, good morning, despite the neck breathers.

Let's paint something
I have been watching stay here on Netflix and it TOTALLY made me have to paint something. Our master bedroom had been the same not white/not tan since we moved in almost 9 years ago and it was definitely feeling sad and shabby. (While the rest of the house has been done over many times!)
In a shocking turn of events I chose a blue and not white!
I love it so much. I am still trying to finish the fluffing bits, which is taking FOREVER. Partially because the painting took three days and partially because it requires some building projects AND we had a sewer back up in the basement today. OY.
We've been having a lot of mantis visitors on the porch still too!

Pears!
One day my brother showed up at the door with a 5 gallon bucket of pears. They are from my dad's trees. I love having fruit from his trees AND pears are easier to deal with than peaches! LOL

Flea Market finds
The flea market has been kind of pitiful this year. Very few vendors and most weeks I am leaving empty handed. A few weeks back I managed to grab this quilt and that candle. The quilt is so interesting really.
I bought it for a crazy price.
Shhhhh. It doesn't have to know it was undervalued!

Business League Ball
We were lucky to have one game left on the kid's free baseball tickets from the library and the weather was PERFECT.
The kids thought it was the bee's knees that they could stand right next to the dug out and watch all the action. (Somehow that pic didn't make it from my phone!) As soon as we sat down grant says to me, "so this is what baseball looks like! I can actually see it!" LOL
I love baseball at the small stadium.

61 mile yard sale
Some years the 61 mile yard sale is woooohoooo awesome, some years its boooohooo sad and some years its in the middle. I think this was a middle year. I bought teeny mushrooms for crafting.
This is a horrible picture, but it's a sweet pink baby quilt.
An odd wicker basket that is now a hamper in Sam's room.
Some white work.
Yards of a Denyse Schmidt fabric from Joann.
A pile of flour sacks.
Some Halloween stuff.
Random fabric.
Some other holiday stuff, that apple still has the tea set in it.
Fans and honeycomb balls for the fourth of July.
A pile of aluminum letters.
I soaked this flour sack and now it's nice and clean!
All in all it was nice day away from the house and kids!

Halloween pillow time
A few times a year spoonflower offers buy one, get one on fat quarters, so I always order Halloween fabric. I was really kind of mad when these arrived and I realized they were mostly chopped off an unusable. I ended up fussy cutting them and working them into a pillow to try and salvage them.
Then I traded off the extras on Instagram!
