Happy Anniversary!

My in laws, Gene and Glenda, (who traveled with us to pick-up Max) celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary while we were away in FL. They had a romantic anniversary trip planned but instead canceled their trip to go with us to get Max. Are they crazy or what?? :) We were so thankful they came! I don't know what we would have done without them both. Glenda washed clothes and bottles non stop for me and Gene took McKenna to the beach and pool everyday! Bless their hearts :)
Here's a pic of us celebrating their anniversary! Not what they expected for 45 years celebration dinner (I'm sure) but I'm thankful we were able to celebrate family and the arrival of Max!! (that's him in the carseat :)

My Baby Brother!

Max is doing GREAT! Thank you all for praying for us!! His eye is much better! We think it was just his tear duct but it seems to be a lot better! He also got thrush but we got a prescription for him that has worked beautifully. He's sleeping great in the night and waking up every 3-4 hours. He's a wonderful baby. He seems calm and hardly ever gets upset. We've traveled for 2 days now and he's slept like a baby in the car :)

McKenna's totally in love with her little baby brother. Everyone she meets she tells them "We have a new baby brother named Max and he's beautiful!"

We're still in FL :) hoping to come home soon. We drove to Lake City and then to Jacksonville hoping to be closer to the GA border so when we get the call to come home, we can bolt.

Please continue to pray for us so we can get icpc approval tomorrow (Monday). Thank you all for your support, prayers and emails. I haven't been able to respond to everyone because we've had very limited access to email since we've been in 5 different hotels in 5 different cities over the last 12 days. Please know how much we love and appreciate you all. Also, thank you for all of you that donated to our adoption fund and made Max's adoption possible! We love you all and can't wait to bring him home and show him off :)

Here’s some updated pics for you guys! We're having a great time on the beach in FL. Malcolm's parents were nice (or crazy) enough to travel with us and help out with McKenna and baby Max.

Please pray for our icpc paperwork to clear fast so we can get little Max home soon. He needs to see a doctor for his eye (which he is having a slight problem with). Please pray for his eye, our icpc clearance and safe travels home. Thanks so much!

Ok, my last post told you our good news about the match. Today, I'm writing to update you on our situation. The birth mother choose to place the twins with her sister so we will not be moving forward. We're sad but also glad that God is protecting us during this journey. Our agency has been really nice and offered us several other situations. In addition we heard about a little baby already born that is within driving distance. The birth mom has already signed consent so we are just trying to work the financial situation out since we already paid some $ to the first agency for the twins. We know that God is in control and will work everything out.
If you were planning on donating funds to our adoption, now is the time to do so :) If we can pull things together financially we may be on the road in a day or so to pick up our son!
