SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Kitchen Sink Monday!! First of all, my thoughts and prayers are people in TX, who has been fighting for the large wild fire since Sunday…mostly the fires are in the central TX but fires popped from here and there in northeast Texas where I live too. The winds from the hurricane are not helping at all :( God, please bring a lot of rain, not just winds!!

I made this cowboy boots card, using Friday Sketch Carte Challenge (FSCC35). I used the inspiration of the boots from My daughter’s new boots. The boots are from Multi Cowboy Boots and the words are from Multi Step Cowboy Hat.

The boots were stamped as following these steps: 3rd – SU pool party, 2nd – SU soft suede (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU crumb cake, 4th – SU turquoise blue, 5th – SU not quite navy.

The hemp twine was looped around the lacey circle mat and also used for the border accent. To finish off, the vintage rhinestone brads were attached on the card.

This card has been submitted to the CR84FN Color Challenge 37 (CR84FN37).

Thank you Lynn :)

I made two cards for Kitchen Sink Monday and I used *pink* for both! Definitely they make my post sweet and lovely, lol.

KSS FSCC21

The balloon was stamped with the following steps: 1st – Memento angel pink, 2nd – Memento rose bud (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rose bud, 4th – SU rose red.  The gift box was stamped as 1st – angel pink, 2nd – rose bud (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rose bud, 4th – rose red. SONY DSC

The next card was CAS card as you see. I’ve submitted to Monday 10 Minutes Card 21 (10M21). I used Multi Step Sweet Heart Roses. Before I started to make this card, I had to try which image worked for the resisting technique. It was the Step 3 image in my opinion. After the image was heat embossed with clear embossing powder, I used Memento angel pink and rose bud to ink over the resisted image. Then I stamped the “XOXO” just below the image and dressed with the rhinestones.

The first card is definitely outside of my comfort zone…but I was in CAS mood for the last couple days (that means you are going to see some CAS style cards in my blog this week). I played with 10 Minutes Card challenge 19 (10MC19) using Multi Step A Cup of Warm Comfort set. To tell the truth, it tool more than 10 minutes to create this because I messed up while stamping the image and I had to recreate the main mat :P

The hot chocolate was stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU Early Espresso, 3rd – SU chocolate chip (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU crumb cake (1 x stamp off), repeat 2nd step, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).  The chocolate chip cookies were stamped with 3rd – early espresso, 2nd – crumb cake, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

I also have submitted this card to Crazy 4 Challenges 87 (C4C87) -Have some image related to ‘chocolate’ on your card/project.

SONY DSC

The next card was used the sketch from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 19 (FSCC19) . All images and sentiment are from 3 Step Hey Chick! set. The color combo was inspired by CR84FN Color Challenge 28 (CR84FN28) . Some of the DT’s cards totally inspired me to use these baby chicks :)

The chicks were stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU chocolate chip, 3rd – SU more mustard, 2nd – SU daffodil delight, 1st – daffodil delight (1 x stamp off).

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

I hope your weekend was great! I had a very easy weekend and stayed at home most of the time;) My husband, on the other hand, had a lot of traveling for his job…he went to from Shreveport, LA –Greensboro, NC – Baton Rouge LA for the last 5 day!! Between last week’s devastated tornadoes, I’m so glad he was OK.  Hopefully my kids and I can drive down to the place he’s working this weekend :)

For today’s my KS Monday card, I decided to use Multi Step Father’s Pocket Watch set.  The sketch was from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 17 (FSCC17) and I used the color combo from CR84FN Color Challenge 26 (CR84FN26) . The embossed paper has pretty shimmer and I wish it showed it on the photo…

The watch was stamped with the following steps : 1st – SU so saffron, 2nd – SU more mustard (1 x stamp off), 3rd – more mustard

KS Monday–Sweet Thoughts of You

SONY DSC

Hi everyone~

Well, the Easter weekend is over and hope you had a wonderful weekend as well.

I have one card to show you for Kitchen Sink Monday today. I decided to use Multi Step Berries for today’s card because we’ve been picking strawberries from our garden right now and I thought it was the perfect time to use those yummy looking stamps :)  Other than the strawberries, we definitely enjoy spending a time of early summer here… just one wish is that we have some rain now :(

The berries were stamped with the following steps :  1st – SU poppy parade (1 x stamp off), 2nd – poppy parade, 3rd – SU riding hood red, 4th – SU cherry cobbler.  The leaves were : 3rd – SU green garden, 2nd – SU wild wasabi, 1st – wild wasabi (1 x stamp off).

With this card, I’ve submitted to Stock Up on Occasions challenge (KSOCThinkingofYou) and CR84FN Color Challenge 25 (CR84FN25).
