this week i tried 2 new products this week. the first was
Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips.
i tried just a solid color the first time. it was pretty easy to apply. they are just finger sized stickers, you simply remove the plastic and place them one your nails. (if you are not careful it will look like your 2 year old polished your nails because if you get it on your skin it doesn't come off very easy.) here's what it looked like:
it seemed like it was going to work, however i found the day after it was already peeling off. for 8.50 a box for a one time use i was not impressed. buy determined to make it work I tried again this time using a blue sparkle color. also began peeling the next day. it was easy removal from the nail itself. all you needed is polish remover. the glitter sticker was a little more difficult but for the most part it was easy. so my conclusion is that this product was a thumbs down...HOWEVER...a friend of mine tried one of the design styled colors and hers is still looking good after a week. maybe it's my nails?! who knows!!
the second product i tried was the
OPI Shatter Nail Polish. all you need to do is apply any color to your nails, let it dry, then apply this crackle nail polish as a top coat and watch is crack!
then if you apply a clear coat on top of that it will be shinny! i think this is a really fun look! i know i want to try the silver next! (this was the black!)
