trying some products

this week i tried 2 new products this week. the first was Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips.
i tried just a solid color the first time. it was pretty easy to apply. they are just finger sized stickers, you simply remove the plastic and place them one your nails. (if you are not careful it will look like your 2 year old polished your nails because if you get it on your skin it doesn't come off very easy.) here's what it looked like:

it seemed like it was going to work, however i found the day after it was already peeling off. for 8.50 a box for a one time use i was not impressed. buy determined to make it work I tried again this time using a blue sparkle color. also began peeling the next day. it was easy removal from the nail itself. all you needed is polish remover. the glitter sticker was a little more difficult but for the most part it was easy. so my conclusion is that this product was a thumbs down...HOWEVER...a friend of mine tried one of the design styled colors and hers is still looking good after a week. maybe it's my nails?! who knows!!

the second product i tried was the OPI Shatter Nail Polish. all you need to do is apply any color to your nails, let it dry, then apply this crackle nail polish as a top coat and watch is crack!

then if you apply a clear coat on top of that it will be shinny! i think this is a really fun look! i know i want to try the silver next! (this was the black!)

do you have a favorite clothing store? i've really been drawn to forever 21 recently. they have new owners and have changed their look to...lets just say they are making clothes with more fabric now. they even are putting bible verses on the bottom of their purses. it's affordable in-style clothes. even offering plus sized fashion in similar styles as the other sections. the return policy is strict, but it makes up for itself with the price of the clothing. make sure to check the sales rack!

why?

o the wonderful word of why...

why is the sky blue? why did you buy that? what are you going to use it for? why do i need to clean up my toys? why do people get married? why are boys and girls different? why are we going there? why are boys bigger than girls? WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!

as a mom we are often asked the question, "why?" i swore i would never answer with, "because i said so". but sometimes that's all we can answer with! it's amazing what you do as a mom that you NEVER thought you would have...ha (i also never thought i'd have one of those kids who never stopped asking why...)

well here's to another day of why...take it in cause soon they will "know" more than you. time to play referee.

why is it that every time you try to do something for yourself you find out your children have other plans for you? so...this post will be short..
