Jeez..I need to update more than once a millienum. Anyway..very quickly..Pray for those in the New Orleans/Mississippi area that they don't get blasted by Gustav like they were for Katrina. Let it just pass them or hit off in the ocean or something. 2 category 3+ hurricanes in 3 years is a A LOT!!!
There'll be a better update later

There are no words
My very best friend and Maid of Honor, Angel, had an AFP test done 10 days ago that came back with abnormal results. The blood test today came back that the baby (a boy) has a 1 in 4 chance of having Trisomy 18. The 3D ultrasound done, however, showed absolutely NO markers of the disease. She had an amiocentesis done today and those results that have 99.9% certainty will be back Monday. Trisomy 18, from what she told me and what I've read, is a fatal genetic disease. She will go full term (to her due date, now at 12-04) only to loose the baby at or following the birth. I just don't know what to say. What do you say to someone who is facing planning the birth and simultaneously the funeral of her baby!?!?!? I have been driven to my knees because there is no where else to go. I just, I don't know. I can't even think of anything to say except to hope and have FAITH that this baby is just being obstinate and the results Monday come back fine, and even if they don't we LOVE this baby. He is a miracle and we are going to enjoy him right now!! Also, medicine can only do so much, this baby could still come out and be phenomenally fine. Please, send prayers, comments, knowledge and love this way and I will pass it on to her. It would mean the world.
