Bags of fun

Thought it about time I got my act together again,

This little bag was made using a cotton pillow slip dyed, torn into strips added fancy yarn and machined using the zigzag stitch...... , The plastic tube is filled with beads that I have used for the handle and the little tag is the same technique as the bag.

The pattern from a Jenny Rolfe bag book..I loved it and had to have a go..... It is a Mezzaluna bag.......... Mezzaluna means "half moon" in Italian also a piece of kitchen equipment with a curved blade and a handle on each side...........

A fun project

And I must say I have been amazed at how much you have all been crafting,

I have missed it so much, but I am getting back on track now, and I hope to be joining in the fun again.

I have done some crafting and will post as and when.....

Something to Crow about

One very funny crow for the ABAA Friday challenge, he is so scrunched up, he is made of cotton fabric....... not nice to sew something quite so small his feet were the worst thing to do, his legs and wings do move on buttons and he has a tail a bit on the primative side but we have a crow
Not at all how he should be looking..... I think he looks a little tipsy myself, it did make me growl and smile and pleased he is finished think we will call him "corny crow"
Thanks to Rosie and Linda for a fun challenge.......

Art Raffle

On this crisp snowy morning scrapping the car windows ........
The post van pulls up out popped my post lady with a BIG grin on her face………..
Are you number 39 she said? ………………
YES I said you know I am

"…. I knew by the box I HAVE WON THE ART RAFFLE ………..YIPPEE.... what she must have thought I don’t know. I did explain to her, she then got exited and said "are you going to open it now?"
Once I got the box open…. All I can say is "WOW"……………… each and every piece is beautiful and I thank everyone who has made a piece of their very own art for me to treasure…..

The box just went on and on layer after layer, I am so happy it couldn’t have come at a nicer time for me…….. Just one more thing to say THANK YOU Sarah for being a great HOSTESS and for giving us the challenge each month."

Angels

This weeks challenge for the ABAA is Angels......
What a wonderful challenge.....
Music is the language of Angels.....
I have chosen to do my challenge as a picture, I have used an A4 canvas and used three different papers for the background, distressed and stamped on.... for the sides I used paints and a crackle stamp.
I used the metal for the title and the mitre head-dress.....
With the quote
"Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
The bed be blest that I lay on.
Four angels to my bed.
Four angels round my head,
One to watch, and one to pray,
And two to bear my soul away."
Thank you to R & L once more..........
This week of all weeks I needed a challenge with a Guardian angel to watch over......
