last day of the year. time really flies.

despite ending work late and is tired, eugene still accompanied me to MOS. he is not the clubbing kind, more of the pubbing type-aka the drinking and not dancing kind. :P

drank quite alot as people offered me drinks which are of course free of charge due to our party. and of course as a form of entertainment and perhaps "revenge" for the things they do for me at work. lol. but poor eugene drank much more than me cos when i cant finish a drink i push to him and work stress. lol.

think most of my colleagues had seen a very different side of me when i danced which could be pretty crazy at times. in addition i was wearing a tube. lol. which is definitely not a working attire. and they said i danced as if i went clubbing almost everyday. haha. which is so not true. definitely not true!!!

anyway, we left pretty early as eugene was very tired and was a bit sey (guess he drank too much without much dinner. by the time we reached there, dinner had already ended.) anyway, after that we still headed to serangoon with the rest of my colleagues for supper to eat one of the famous porridge there. quite nice.

was thinking of clubbing a bit more often to destress. lol.

had gift exchanges and a small celebration at her place. reached there slightly later than expected. =P the rest were already there playing heart attack. joined in the game but didnt win at all. :( blur kailin mixed up both 6 and 9 and gave false alarm with regards to her winning. haha.

kailin and lena went to the bedok market to buy the donuts. kailin treated all of us. thanks kailin. the donuts are nice. =)

we also ordered canadian pizzas - haiwaiian and turkey pizzas and had a huge feast. kailin and lena also brought red wine and some sparkling water for us to drink.

after finishing our food and drinks, we gathered around the christmas tree and choose the names of the person who is the one who gave us the present. and i choose kaijing's name, whereas diana got mine.

after exchanging the christmas gifts, we then continue to play card games - daidee, indian poker and picking of cards of which red will allow us to choose another player to drink and black will requires us to drink. haha. and by the end of the night, we are all queuing up to go to the toilet. lol. headed home as mum and dad came to fetch me.

thank you lena for planning this christmas party. thank you kailin for the donuts. thank you kaijing for the present. and thank you all for turning up for this gathering so that we can meet up. =)

countdown to christmas at eugene's place.

went to bali thai to eat as a celebration for my mum's birthday which falls on the 27th dec. had this early celebration as my bro is heading to hong kong at night. the meal was nice though i dont specially prefer thai or indonesian food.

after that, i headed to eugene's place after getting the presents for him as well as for the gift exchange with the taklors. aunties, uncle and sean just returned from genting as darrell and huiping went to fetch them. was watchin naruto with eugene as the rest started setting up the table for food.

as usual, we played mahjong and there had been some kind of gift exchanges. eugene's godma got me a pendant and his dad and mum got me a belt. thank you aunties and uncle. =) my dear eugene got me the whole set of baby winnie the pooh stuff toys and the last harry potter book - harry potter and the deathly hallows. while i got him a board game, rummy-o and going to get him his favourite liverpool training kit jersey. (wait til we go to peninsular plaza which is opposite funan mall.)

counted down to christmas where everyone of us started to wish each other merry christmas. quite a fun experience. =)

jus came back from genting with eugene and his family. it was my first time going overseas with eugene. (sentosa not considered.) was a bit surprised that mum allowed me to go with them. lol. guess she trust that i am big enough to take care of myself, either that or she trust that eugene will take care of me. lol. think it is more of the latter.

it was a pretty short trip - 2 days - 1 night stay over at genting. headed over to eugene's place and took a cab with his mum and darrell. whereas sean and his friend, kian yi and eugene's godma took another cab. we headed to the golden mile to take the bus to gentings. luckily eugene was able to leave his workplace early and he met us there at golden mile. huiping also met us there too after her meeting up and gift - exhanges with her friends. met uncle richard as well as aunty shirley, which was eugene's distant relatives. took the big comfort bus and departed singapore at about 10pm.

had a small dispute with eugene regarding him forever leaving me behind. i just dont like that feeling. hence we got into this argument as he insisted what he did was right and that i was too reliant on him. but luckily this doesnt spoil the mood much as soon after that we managed to resolve or at least stop the dispute.

reached gentings at 4am in the morning. poor eugene didnt get to sleep much on the bus as the curtains on the other side of the window was not closed properly and lights kept flashing on his head as the buses passed by. had a few toilets breaks and eating breaks during the journey before we reached the hotel.

as the hotel rooms are fully booked and the tenants only checked out at 11am, and we still had to wait for the rooms at first world hotel to be cleaned so we can only check in at 1pm. hence we left our luggage with the bell boy and we headed to the casinos, which is the only place which is open 24 hours. poor sean and kian yi were unable to get in since they are underaged. due to my dressing, i suppose, a t-shirt, jeans and a huge converse jacket, i was checked by the guards there. -.- ''' i must have look young. huiping who is underaged managed to get in without any checking. lucky her.

didn't get to play much. i am not the kind who gambles much. lol. tried playing jackpot but i found it boring. watched eugene play pontoon, something which was similar to blackjack but seems to be more complicated and risky to me. after that huiping and i went around to look at other games. there are roulette, three card poker, big/small and banker/player. then eugene and i went to play big/small. lol. quite fun, but there is a high risk of losing.

after which, all of us met up to have breakfast at one of the chinese restaurant around 7.30am. (we spent almost 2-3 hours in the casino!!!) i ate egg and bacon while eugene had lasi lemak. after that, the old people went back to the casinoes while the young ones (sean, kian yi, darrell, huiping, eugene and i) decided to go to the theme park while waiting for time to pass since sean and kian yi cant go into the casino.

when the time reached 9 am when we can buy the tickets for the movies, we queued up and bought tickets to watch "the warlords" and "i am legend" for our late night movies. we also paid RM 37 to buy the tickets to play the outdoor theme park games. and we tried the Rolling Thunder Mine Train (which was scary), Pirate Train, Pirate Ship, Grand Prix Fun Kart, Boating and the Corkscrew (which darrell and huiping took twice).

after playing all the games for the entire morning, all of us are hungry and we met eugene's father for lunch together at pizza hut. it is relatively less costly there due to the conversion rate of singapore dollars to malaysia ringgit.

after that, we headed to the shopping malls to shop. most of the shops are closing late due to the festive seasons. which is a good thing!!! cos we can shop longer then. hee. in addition, we are watching the late night show - the legend and warlords. And when the shopping centres are all closed we went to try shooting. my 1st time!!!

after that all of us headed to watch the movies which we had bought. hehe. and then it is off to bed after the movies. warlord seems to have a pretty sad ending where almost everyone dies except jin cheng wu. it is more of the war fightings scene. where 3 "brothers" fought with one another as a team to become they fighting against one another due to different visions and of course women.

whereas, "i am legend" though it also have a sad ending and everyone also die, does not consist not much of those killings. instead it showed how the event started and how will smith actually escape converting into one of those monsters. quite scary at part but still a nice show.

woke up pretty late the next morning and had bak ku tea for breakfast-cum-lunch. =)
