went to kelly services to collect my pay check.. hmm,they contributed to CPF and so the amount that i got was much lesser than the amount that i received the previous time.. and i needed to clarify the amount and hence i was late meeting alan.. :X

anyway,headed to far-east to meet him.. he was eating at the esteller 77 which was recommended by me,who was recommended by rong.. who was recommended by yi xi who was recommended by... and so on..haha.. the power of mouth spreading is so damn powerful.. haha.. and i ordered a banana with chocolate.. but it was filled with cheese and alan dun like cheese.. so i gotta finished it myself.. hee.. and that was my lunch.. haha..

after that i show him the converse bag that i saw the other day when i was with the tar-los they all.. after that we went to lido to watch initial D.. it was very nice!! superb!! strongly recommended for jay's fans,edison's fans and racing fans.. =)

i think the show was great.. pretty funny.. and wasnt that good perhaps coz the love story part wasnt as nice as expected.. but still very nice to me coz of the car racing part as well as the scenery.. yesh,especially when there was sunset and sun rise at the mountain there.. which was so sweet and nice.. haha.. now i am more interested in the manga and anime.. which seemed pretty cool.. and the movie.. perhaps i shall get the VCD when it is out.. hehe..

after the movie,we headed to taka where i showed him the fila bag..as well as the U2 bag.. haha.. after that we headed to heeren where he go and find his friend and i go shopping at HMV.. haha.. then we hanged around and look for bags.. haha.. but nothing caught my eye.. either i too fussy or i too choosy.. [which is worse??]

after that we meet lena,zhijia and huixin near old chang kee there and we chatted for quite a while.. didnt know that zhijia was rushing home and lena and huixin were supposed to head home with her.. and so i dragged them to go and find bags with me.. sorry zhijia.. then i think zhijia was pretty angry with lena,coz she sort of "pang sei" her again!!!

anyway,we sent zhijia to the busstop,then headed to show them the fila bag that i wanted to buy.. but.. they found it normal,and even prefered the converse one.. which i myself also prefered.. haha.. and so.. i cant make up my mind and in the end,didnt get the bag in the end.. haha.. think by then,alan wanted to kill me already.. haha..

after that we went to world of sport.. then waited for lena and huixin to take bus home.. but on the way,everything was rather awkward coz there was some unpleasantness between janice and alan.. over my present or something like that.. quite sad.. :( feel like it was my fault.. anyway,they chatted for a while and i think everything was much better already.. haha..

then we headed to far-east again.. and finally i settled down with the small blue converse bag.. hee.. like it very much.. was the bag that i set my eyes on for a pretty long time.. just a pity it wasnt large enuff to put A4 size stuff.. but then again,if it was that large,i wont have fallen for it.. haha..

headed to hans to eat.. haha.. had the grilled fish with fries.. hehe.. dun reallie like the hashbrown.. hee.. then chatted about the things between him and janice.. i also dunnoe why they become so awkward.. so weird.. so distant.. i dunnoe and i guess i wont find out unless either party is willing to share.. and perhaps it would be better off for me to not know the truth ba.. haha..

then when i decided to go and get the green converse bag..it was out of stock!!! diaoz~ so i guess it was not meant to be ba perhaps the bag wasnt meant for me then.. and so i shouldnt have got that bag perhaps...anyway,i got too many bags recently... haha..

went to expo with mum after she saw on the newspapers that there was an offer at metro sale at the expo.. and so we sort of rushed there coz i am meeting the rest at around 12.30.. haha.. had shoppin spree.. i got a pair of court shoes for the work at bonia and slippers.. hehe.. and also got a white belt with blue strip.. hehe..

then went to meet huixin,kaijing and kailin.. yeah,kailin was wearing her birthday gift.. a green tube and the flowery skirt.. haha.. i think i wear like machiam go workplace like that..haha.. and then we started our shopping spree at orchard.. hehe..

saw a pair of black slippers..yup,the one that was black with some shiny "diamonds" on it.. was very much in love with that.. hehe..but lena once told me that it wasnt worth the price i thought so too.. hmm.. anyway,if i reallie want it,i shall buy it later..haha..on other days when it is less crowded.

stop 2:forever 21.

at forever21 there saw quite a few nice shirt.. but.. dun have my size.. actually i only saw one shirt coz the other one,i asked kailin to go and try was nice.. but.. it was too flowery for me and i think i dun suit that material.. anyway,asked kailin to try and it looked nice on her.. hee.. think i tempted her to buy le..haha.. i am evil..

this is the place where we spent the most time.. hee.. and then kaijing was looking for necklace and pendants as she got the 50% off voucher and after much consideration,she finally got herself the star shape pendant with the silver necklace.. and huixin also got herself those rubber pink necklace with a white heart shape pendant..

stop 4:mango.

the favourites of many singaporeans girls especially when they are having sales.. but it was also one of my least favourite shop.. no particular reason why.. but when it is sales time,it is too crowded and everything was dumped together for you to dig out.. dun like that kind of feeling and somemore goods sold then are not refundable.. and it was hard to really search for something that you like.. plus i am rather fussy about clothes.. so all the more harder for me to get anything during their sales time.. when it is not having sales,the clothes cost a bomb!! (ok,perhaps to me as a student who cant afford those "bomb-costing" clothes..) but anyway,i dun find their clothes very unique or whatsoever.. perhaps it is just another of the brand name..

anyway,kailin,huixin and kaijing each managed to find something that they like at mango.. while i just helped around,giving suggestions on what is nice etc.. and also helping them to find the size they want.. and yup,i didnt get any for myself.. in fact when they are wondering which to buy,i headed out to go and "hunt" for my bag.. but nah,didnt find any nice one around there.. so too bad..

stop 5:KFC.

the shop that i waited the longest for,due to the mango sale.. and we were stranded there.. haha..ate the mushroom swiss burger.. nice.. hehe.. coz mainly i was famished..

then headed to far east to get kaijing's sash.. meanwhile we also go and find janice who was there distributing leaflets.. according to her,her boss was very bad.. i dunno also.. but according to both huixin and kailin,they agreed with her as well.. very fussy boss...

anyway,we also visited many other shops at far east,after huixin headed back to school to do some project... and i went to try on some of the skirts that i see nice.. but it was too tight at the hip there.. no matter what size i took.. coz there was this string there.. and it was very tight that it looked ugly on me.. hai~

then acc kj back to orchard mrt there and got her charles and keith pink slippers..there were alot of people and i was fickle minded about getting the shoes and so i didnt get it in the end.. hehe.. then we meet rong and we headed off to find lena who was about to get off from work.. after that kaijing gotta headed to the airport to fetch her parents..

then lena got her super A-A belt (in green.. her favourite color now..) and i got myself a $10 worth bag.. hehe.. quite cute and nice.. and so i got it.. found it quite nice.. though the quality wasnt that good..

shopped around for a while.. looking at bags that i would like to get.. saw one at converse,one at U2 and one at fila.. hehe.. but couldnt make up my mind then..

we then went to eat at some esteller 77,some indonesian restaurant.. we ate the chicken rice set.. and it was not bad.. we also got the banana with chocolate fillings and the bread with chocolate fillings as well.. it tasted great!!! very nice!!perhaps when one is hungry,everything tastes nice to them..

then we headed to find huixin who is coming to look for us after her school project and as she hasnt eaten,we headed to ramen ten to eat.. as huixin wanted to eat miso noodle.. and the rest of us were full and so we just shared a waffle.. hehe..we then headed home since it was late and all of us are tired..

hai~ still havent decide wad to get.. 伤脑筋 ar.. haha..

last day of work!!! and i was sick!!:(

down with serious flu.. dunnoe why.. just sat at lian lee's seat and i started sneezing though that seat was the less air-conditioned,less cold.. but just fell sick then!! hai

woke up for dinner.. and my throat was sore.. too much sneezing i guess.. and started coughing..

amazing race cum treasure hunt!!!

erm,remember when i asked you all about the volunteer thingy for the sentosa thingy?? well,lena and i were involved in it due to the last minute when alan "squeezed" us in.. and hence we are involved in it loh.. gotta wait up very early in the morning and gotta reached esplanade by 7.45am.. woah.. haha.. very early hor?haha

there was a very brief briefing[briefing arent supposed to be brief.. it is supposed to be detailed and concised] and lena was like quite confused about wad is happening.. luckily,the both of us were teamed together as the game master[all thanks to jiawei],even for the ice-breaking games.. haha.. anyway,we are in charge of group F,which had a very good leader,ren fong n sandy [i forgot the names!!! but thanks to alan who erm,tell me.. haha] and also the 2 very spontaneous AI leos who are loud and vocal.. more of the bubbly type.. haha..

1.know each other's names..then they had to name each others names starting from one person.. so the first person gotta say own name,then the second person will say the first person name then own name.. the third person gotta say the second person the first person's name and so on.. and continue until the last person.. then the last person will become the first person and it go in another direction..

2.charade but we want the two adult volunteers to guess the words [or rather the letters] formed by the children and AI leos using body language..

the teams were very fast or probably we dee li dere li along the way.. the first team left ROM when we are still eating at cityhall!! diao~ we are eatin ya kun and hence we had to da bao and i drank my tea by pouring out into the saucer then drink from the saucer.. after that we headed to the hotel to cheong cab down to chinatown ar.. and kim paid for it..

then off to our station..at chinatown.. we reached early.. luckily no teams came.. phew.. then there were some uncles smokin there.. and we chased them off.. haha.. by tellin them that later there are children coming over and asked them kindly not to smoke around that area.. haha.. then kim said that lena and i are like sisters.. behave and talk exactly the same way.. haha.. dunnoe who copy who ar..:P

our station was messy.. there was no organisation in our stations.. although i did agreed with lena to ask them to sing a song/cheer.. hehe.. after that,we are not supposed to demonstrate the jie lian huan for them.. but.. in the end,we broke the rule and just showed them how to do.. and hence all of them had no forfeit in our station.. quite hard to have forfeit them also..all of them did once,at least for group F,C and B.. haha.. the 3 groups that i am in charge of..2 groups sang birthday songs [so honored to have the entire groups to sing birthday song for me.. haha.. so bhb],one group sang their cheer and the other group sang A,B,C.. haha..

most of them learnt how to play the jie lian huan pretty fast,which was quite good.. but the situation was super messy.. all of the groups came at almost the same time.. and we dun not have enough helpers!!! should have gotten diana with us.. haha.. coz she know how to do the jie lian huan thingy.. anyway,some i forgot along the way.. then had to ask jiawei for help.. haha.. :X

realised that jiawei,lena and i didnt communicate enough to make the entire thing a success.. which was partly my fault.. coz i didnt tell jiawei that we want them to do the cheer/sing thingy.. haha..so i think there was one team which didnt do coz jiawei was in charge of them...

then there was another part,both lena and i didnt give them any forfeit.. haha.. and somemore, we didnt do as wad jiawei told us to.. time them then if they can not do and give up,give them forfeit.. haha.. but all of the groups got do and never give up leh.. and somemore if we dun hurry let the first team off,the other teams will be waitin for a long time and it was pretty unfair to them loh.. [that's what i think la..]

mainly there are 3 stations in sentosa,the underwater world,which lena,kim and i are in charge of,tembusu which alan and some other people are in charge of and southernmost of whuich jiawei they all are in charge of.. haha..

and the 3 of us headed to the underwater world first.. coz it is most likely that most of the groups will come here first..

this story is abit scary.. "one day,the old man was sitting down the tree at half pass 3 then he fell aslp on 4,at 5 the roots starts to twine ard him and the next day the the sun rise the old mans body become part of the tree.." [this is according to alan] scary rite??

then there was the thing they must find a chinese phrase: 天上大將軍,地下女將軍.. this is 杨门女將 ar?? or sexist?

one of the most challenging game.. they are supposed to build up a model with 30 sticks up to a level of our waist level.. which was quite tough.. i think they are allowed to use other things?? [alan,is it??i am not very sure..]


an umbrella could also be a useful tool in the game wor.. so dun belittle the use of an umbrella!!! it can provide u with shade,shelter u frm the rain and even be a long pole to help provide length to the sticks.. haha

after that they are supposed to leave sentosa and head back to the home..

meanwhile when they are doin the other stations,we headed to the beach once all the teams had left our station at underwater world... hehe.. but then half-way when we are about to take pictures of the siloso beach,alan called and told us that he had reached the underwater world and will be sending us back to tempusu with the excess drinks..

oh my god..[haha..] and we just went to the beach,starting to explore only.. then gotta leave le..:(

reached tempusu met a few people.. the leo president now--jiafu,the future leo president--jeffrey (he is from tms!!!but 5 years older than us..),gladys (the girl who drove the van),qiqi [she was also in NTU engineering i think] ..haha..made quite a number of friends wor..[but opps.. i forgot their names.. can alan please update me?? hehe..]

then took a walk in the enchanted gardens with alan and learn about what are their "mission" in this station.. hehe.. kena mosquitoes bite..

anyway,one of the grp,group A lose their way.. and headed to butterfly park instead of tempusu.. and there was quite a lot of mishappenings in the group.. one of the ger lose her wallet...and there was another girl [one of the AI leos] who was very affected by the actions of the children who bullied them.. asking them to carry their waterbottles and stuff.. like sort of treating them like "maid".. quite bad huh??

another problem was that one of the team,team C took cab back!! which was not really stated that they cant in any rule or wad.. but.. it was just out of the objectives coz one of the main purpose was to let the children understand the transportation route via buses and mrts.. haha..

after that we headed back to the home via the "suana" van.. coz there was no air-conditioning at the back.. anyway, we fanned outselves with all the cardboard we can find.. haha..

and we had prize-giving...

and the most important process of every project and yet the most dreading.. the debriefing.. we talked about the process of the proj.. and everyone's opinions about the project.. we realised that time is a main factor for many things for example the preparation work.. could have been more detailed.. the finding out more about the children's behaviours,briefing at the beginning of the whole game is also important..

to jiawei,he felt that the team leaders,esp the adult leaders are leading the team more than guiding them.. and it should be the AI leos leading but ended up the adults leading [however it is reasonable as children and some sec sch are unable to nagivate and know wad transportation to take..]so i guess perhaps the nature of the game was a bit too tough for the AI leos and the children to make decisions..

communication between game master is also very important...miscommunication b/w me, lena and jiawei..especially in the chinatown station.. leading to quite a huge confusion and unfairness to some of the teams due to differences in treatment to different teams.. jiawei was more harsh on some of the teams.. communication via phone may not be the best way of communication.. some messages may not be conveyed correctly..

when listening to the debriefing,i can see that gladys is a real deep person despite her age [she was also 20.. going to SMU this year..]i think she'd been through a lot of volunteering and had learnt a lot in the process.. if i am not wrong,she had been volunteering since 13.. she behaved in a way that was very much like dawn.. in the way she handle things.. but she is more bubbly i think..

she had realised a few pointers that many of us may not have realised.
1st there is only one first aider around who is xin kai.. and she had something on so she gotta leave half way due to other commitments.. this might become a problem if there were to be an accident.. there is not enough first aiders and we may need more help..

anyway,in this project,we all learnt something: we need to be more sensitive and be more aware of wad is happening ard us.. [great job,jiawei who noticed that group A was solemn when they reached his station!! u have great awareness!!haha..]

one such incident will be the group A incident whereby the one of the AI leos weren't too happy coz the girls treated them like "maid" asking them to carry their water bottles,bags etc.. and she sort of affect the other AI leos to feel the same way.. sometimes how we feel affect the others by expression and complaining.. [this i know long long time ago..haha..] for example,if i dun like A,and i tell my friend that A is bad.. in some way,my friend will be affected and start to see A in a different point of view.. hence,this is how we influence each other.. people are social animals..what one person do will affect the other person.. like dominos and the butterfly effect...

gladys had also explained the reasoning behind their actions.. and it all sumed up to one word--expectation.. for the AI leos case,they do not have expectation of the children asking them to carry their bags for them etc.. they are not expecting such a reaction from the children.. so it was out of their expectation..

she also told us about her trip overseas volunteering i think.. and one of her bunk mate's birthday was coming.. and the rest of the volunteers helped her to celebrate.. but she felt that it wasnt good enough.. the cake was too small etc.. but the rest of the volunteers arent happy that they had already tried to plan a surprise for her and yet she behaved in that manner.. after a talk with her bunkmate,gladys realised that actually she was from a violent family..

so perhaps the rest of the volunteers would have expected her to be happy that there was them to celebrate her birthday together with her.. but in her expectation,she wanted something more of a surprise.. a pleasant surprise with bigger cake etc.. again it was the expectation mentality..

so in this world,there are "unfortunate" people who are given some "privilleges" they would just grab it and take advantage of it without appreciating it.. like in the case of the 2 volunteers in group A whereby the 2 children just "grabbed" their help and treated them like maid.. and this leads me to think of the man who is in the middle of the road at the traffic light selling some biscuits from tampines mall to tampines MRT there.. and when we offered to help him to move aside,he blamed us for not buying any biscuits from him..

perhaps we dun understand his plight.. and tink that he was just attracting attention to get people to buy his biscuits.. maybe he is really attracting attention to himself.. or perhaps,he just expects people buying from him and when none did,he was devastated and pissed off.. perhaps..

expectation does cause a lot of unhappiness between people..

we should start to learn not to expect too much ba..i will try to keep that in mind..

anyway,we had a late dinner at suntec.. went to some noodle shop and the auntie was nice.. had drunken chicken noodle.. and no,i am not drunk.. haha.. then went home.. hehe.. miss the 人妖打排球 II and alan cant find his disc.. :(
