🎶 A dream is a wish, Your heart makes 🎵

So Miranda came home from her mission a couple weeks early to have some surgery, but I have this great excuse to still write our family history down, since her novio is still on his mission in Paris, France for the next year.  So until May 9, 2019, I'll still write a missionary letter for our blog posts.  =)

Ok, so subject title above covers the EPIC rainbow, my groggy drugged state from surgery, and Carlie's Disney concert.

First of all, you know how cameras can't quite capture the spectrum you can see in a rainbow?  Check out this double reverse, dropped band rainbow on Monday.  It's like the rainbow was trying so hard, it turned itself upside down and spit some extra out the bottom, too.

So on the main, bottom rainbow, you can see multiple purple layers, and the top rainbow reflects itself upside down, as they do.  Let's just zoom in to make sure you've got it. You can see THREE blue/purple layers on the bottom.

So that was the last day of our Fall Break, so Jeff took the kids to eat at Chuck-a-Rama.  Something for everyone.

They came home and ended the FHE night with hot tub time.

Tuesday, Jeff & Miranda went to Physical Therapy together.  They each got some help with their strength and soreness.

Wednesday, I still couldn't drive because I was on narcotics, so my mom took me grocery shopping.  I was so grateful to be able to get out and get the things we needed, but it seemed to take everything out of me to walk around that much.

Jeff was working a day shift that day.  I saw a text invitation for the twin's piano recital that didn't have the day of the week on it; just the calendar date, so I got the twins in their full Halloween costumes & makeup, called my sweet MIL/SIL for a ride, and when we walked into the people's backyard, we were the only people there.  I called their piano teacher: the recital was the next day.  I had to call my SIL Keri back to ask for a ride home, and when I got home, my watch was also poised to send this dictated text to someone.  It didn't say to WHOM it was going, just asking me if I was ready to send.  That would be a NO.  PLEASE DON'T SEND.... Wait, if the person's cool, maybe I send it anyway.

Also in my groggy state, I realize that Connor's soccer practice has been turned into a rescheduled game, and he needs to be there in 1/2 hour.  So we run down and Connor plays goalie again.  =)

We remember to bring snacks!!!
Turns out it's not actually our turn.
Better yet, I'm the one who organized the snack schedule.
But no one else remembered, so we were still the heroes.
Seriously, do NOT do drugs.

Thursday, Jeff goes to Miranda's chemo with her.  Of the 3 Jeff took, I liked this one the most because she reminds me of her elementary school days here.  It's my little BaBa.

IMG_9719.jpg

Then I went to her neurology appointment to address the feeling in her hands & feet coming back. And now I can see and feel why people who are on drugs don't actually have their eyes all the way open, even when they think they do.  They just don't.

IMG_0604.JPG

The tests hurt a lot more than Miranda expected... I don't think either of us expected them to hurt at all... but at least our resident (she was DEFINITELY not the attending physician) was so nice and silly, that it lightened the mood a lot.  =)

While Miranda was being tortured, Jeff took the twins to their ACTUAL piano recital. That is a set of my twins in the giant cat heads.  Just so you're still not looking through all the children.  Haha!

Jeff's mom came with them.  =)

When Miranda was done and walking to the car, I could not NOT take this picture of the eruption of color.  It was so breathtaking, especially with the overcast day, and the sun cutting through at sunset.

Friday, the boys left for Youth Conference at Aspen Grove, up by Heber, and they didn't take any pictures...  Guess if they're in a pile of trouble.

Friday night, Jeff & Miranda went to Carlie's first night of her Disney choir concert.  During all the numbers, they had a projected montage put together of Disney movie scenes they got the song from.  During Tale as Old as Time, she danced in the background like a boss, while this girl sang as Mrs. Potts.

IMG_0630.JPG

One of her songs was a duet as Elsa, singing For the First Time in Forever.  She was on fire.

IMG_0494.JPG

You would not have believed the sounds coming out of this girl's mouth.  Of course, when it was my turn to go see her the next night, I was crying through each of her songs.  Look at both Elsas... she nailed it.

IMG_0496.JPG

She ended as Tinkerbell for the meet & greet afterward.

Saturday, Connor played his last game of the Fall season... Green Vipers will appear again in Spring.  Nice team picture!!!

IMG_0602.JPG

The girls experimented with hair color spray to see if turning Carlie's hair white for Elsa would work.  No.  It will not.  But cute girls!!!

That night, it was my turn to see Carlie with the rest of the gang.  =) . She was ON POINT with Who I Am Inside from Mulan.

Such a sweet looking street bum from Hunchback:

And the very pretty song Candle on the Water from Pete's Dragon.

Closing montage Newsies as Tink.

When we got home, everyone kind of just crashed & hung out.  Here's the epitome of crash; even the dog looks like she's done.

The fam went to Alex & Natalie's for dinner,

and the sky erupted.

THE END.
