The Last 2 Months!

I have been told countless times that I am a slacker for not updating my blog...The last 2 months have been a whirlwind of things happening. I keep saying over and over, next week it will slow down, it doesn't so i decided that I need to take 5 minutes and update you all from the last 2 months. I have dozens of pictures but I am only going to post one of the kids I took a few days ago. Highlights of the last 2 months:

1. My mother in law came to visit us, we had a great time with her here... it was so nice and so relaxing and I missed having an adult to talk to after 8pm. Thank you Grandma for spending a week with us and we hope to see you very soon.

2. Emily started Preschool. The school district in our area runs a preschool and Emily started there 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours each time. She is loving it, she is SO grown up now and she will tell you all about it, no more baby stuff like holding your hand to cross the street...

3. Sam is doing so well. He ended up with Roseolla two months or so ago but has managed to stay relatively healthy for most of the last 2 months and we are crossing our fingers this streak continues. He is almost as big as Emily and is driving her crazy like a good little brother is supposed to do. He is so smart and has figured things out so quickly it is difficult to keep up.

4. Stuart is doing well, counting down the days to come home. It isn't going fast enough for any of us. he has been exercising since there isn't much else to do in the giant sand box and has lost about 30 lbs so far. We do get to see him about 1 time a week on the Web cam and the kids LOVE that, Sam never sits still unless it is to see his dad, then neither one will get off my lap until he has gone.

5. I have had surgery on my wrist, I needed to have a cyst removed and 3 tendons repaired. My sweet mother housed us and took care of the kids for me since it is much harder than I expected to take care of kids with one hand. Diapers are near impossible. But that wasn't the end of my fun, I then had an allergic reaction to the pain medicine and ended up with hives... felt like a million mosquito bites covering every inch of you... my wrist is doing much better and only 1 more week until I can start trying to regain motion. I can't wait.

6. My dear sweet Aunt Joyce passed away a few days ago and that was a very sad and unexpected loss, She was such a wonderful, fun and lovely person to be around, I sure am going to miss her and I am still holding her to our Indian dinner date when I get there someday.

7. Stuart and I are looking to purchase a house again and trying to get all the paperwork done and find the perfect place for a limited amount. It is a challenge but one we are definitely up for. Just a bit more challenging with him being so far away.

8. Stuart turned 35 on the 21st of August. We were not able to be with him but My mom came over and Emily and I made a birthday cake for him and then we enjoyed eating it...

9. August 22nd was our 10 year wedding anniversary. Not going to say much about this... it was a sad day... I miss him so much.

10. Emily and I took a trip to Lagoon ( amusement park) on the 12th of August and I was amazed at how many rides she wanted to go on and how much she loved them. She was SO MAD that she wasn't tall enough to ride the really big roller coasters but she made me measure her at each one just in case she grew from one to the other. It was so fun to have the whole day just her and I. She picked out a stuffed dog to bring home for Sam and he sleeps with it every night... She helped him name it, ok, she named it and he doesn't care but the dog is Max. And she picked a panda bear. I can't wait for next year.
