Updates between Christmas and New Year

1. My sister had to return to Korea on the 27th, it was a very hard day for the girls and very sad for all of us, we love being able to spend time with her.

2. Sam is crawling. he has been up on all fours for a few weeks now and we took bets he would make it by Christams, we were close, the day after. He started with the Army crawl but now it is full blown go... he can reach anything and with lightening speed.

3. We are getting ready for Stuart to leave, getting bags backed and his truck cleaned and oil changes. It hasn't sunk in yet for all of us but we are sure going to miss him.

4. Emily has decided on her new profession. Hair Dresser, my patient dad let her play with his hair and add a few of her hello kitty hair clippies she got for christmas. Sweet Grandpa...

Our Christmas Morning Scene

The long awaited day has finally arrived... Santa came, all our hard work through out the year of being good and nice has finally paid off. All Emily has talked about for months is that she wanted Santa to bring her a Kitchen and a new baby doll. Well, I am so grateful that Santa delivered. She was So excited when she saw them and hasn't stopped making me dinner ever since. Sam was very excited also, he got a bunch of cars and trains and boy stuff from Santa... he was in heaven...all those wheels to spin.

Christmas Eve in my family is the night we have our big get together, this year my sister in law Paula and the boys Tyler and Carson came from Kansas, Todd, Jennifer, Lauren, Jenessa, Paige came from Lindon, UT. In very snowy weather... My Brother Wayne, My sister Wendy, my parents of course and Stuart and I and the kids... So we had a full house. It was great. Traditionally we open only one gift Christmas eve, and for the last 30 years of my life it has been the same thing, new pajamas... ( We want to look our best for Christmas morning) but we let everyone who traveled in open their gifts too. Jennifer reads twas the night before christmas, cajan style...(very funny) and we sing carols... It was so much fun to get together as a family and enjoy each other... Dinner was not quite the traditional one we usually have, our turkey didn't finish cooking in time so it was more of a buffet style, pick and munch all night but it was really tasty none the less...

I really wanted to go get christmas pictures this year but I decided to try them at home... I think they turned out pretty well. My sister bought Emily her dress this year and after some searching we found Sam an outfit too... So we got all 4 kids dressed up and their hair done. It was a bit of a painful process but we managed to get a few pictures before the kids called it quits.

Decorating Cookies for Santa

All the kids decorated cookies for Santa and the neighbors, Mikalle had so much fun with the flour. Emily wanted to play in the dough and Kendalle had to be convinced to help. But it was lots of fun and with help from Grandma they turned out great.

Last night we decorated a gingerbread house... The girls had so much fun... Sam is in more of an observation role than a participate roll but still he had a good time...

Tuesday Night December 18th

We decided to go to "This is the Place" State park, for those of you who do not live here "This is the Place" is a working Pioneer Museum town. It has shops, houses, churches, schools and each year at christmas they decorate it with lights and each building has different activities to do. Here are a few pictures of the adventure.

Sam is getting so big... he is trying hard to Crawl and has discovered that regular food tastes SO much better then baby food. His Cousin Mikalle, gave him a mowhawk ( no cutting involved, just style)

My First Entry - Work Christmas Party

Yesterday we had my office Christmas party. Our spouses and kids came in for treats and gifts and karaoke... Emily got a hold of the microphone and she was in heaven... She LOVES the spotlight... Her song is a combination of Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old McDonald, ABC and Twinkle Twinkle with her twist added to the lyrics.
