GO BLUE JAYS!

Baseball Season has begun!

Sam has been so excited to start coach pitch this year with is best buddy Ryan. They had their first game yesterday and they did so well. Sam was up to bat 3 times and all 3 times he had a great hit.

Lava Hot Springs ~

~ Lava Hot Springs ~

Last Saturday we went on our second weekend road trip. We headed up to Pocatello Idaho for a Cancer Benefit Archery shoot. The kids had so much fun. Sam even beat Emily for the first time. She was less than pleased. On our way back, we stopped in Lava Hot Springs and met up with my sweet friend Katy and her cute family.

Stuart Surprised Me!

It isn't very often that Stuart can pull a surprise on me but he managed to do that this time in a very big way. I have wanted a picture of Stuart in his Air Force Blues for as long as I have known him. This weekend he did just that, here are a few of the pictures he had taken for me.

Standing Tall

Serious in his beret

Looking up

He says trying to be GQ in this uniform is hard.

Thank you so much for this pictures, you look so handsome. They mean the world to me, more than you know!

Family Day Trip Adventure

Day Road Trip to Price

We needed a family day just to get away. So we picked a spot on the Utah map we could get to in a day and back and packed up the kids.

Our first stop was the North Springs Shooting Range. We discovered that Price has a HUGE and very impressive shooting facility with something for every kind of shooter. We found the archery range.

Sam taking out a wild boar
Emily and Sam each shot a perfect - 12 Great Job!!!!
This mean terrible little Lizard jumped out and scared the socks off Abbie.
We didn't know what it was at first, we thought she has been hurt, or bitten but no. He just said BOO!

Hiding out under this tree we found a very rare species and I think the last remaining one of it's kind. The Stegosaurus-rex...
Next up was the Desert wave pool. The kids were SO excited. Stuart and I were probably just as excited after we arrived and found out it was free swimming day. YAY!

After swimming we were starving and Asphalt Pie was the perfect treat to finish off our day.

Wow... the Last 2 years. So much has happened

It has been just shy of 2 years since I updated our blog... and boy has the time flown by... this is a short entry but I needed to get something on here... it has been TOO long!!! ( If I even still have visitors here)
Emily is doing well, loves summer vacation. Is still in her view " The Boss". She is 6 1/2 and full of energy... she is SO tall and is an amazing artist.

Sam, My sweet little man. He has been the Man of the house since Daddy is away. He is 4 now and constantly on partol of the yard to make sure no bad guys come. He is dressed in some type of camo about 99% of the time.

Abbie - She is 13 1/2 months, and we just had tubes put in her ears. She doesn't say much but MAN does she have lungs... She might just be an opera singer with her high pitched range... Dispite Daddy being away she is 100% a Daddy's girl.

Me - I am still just me, taking it one day at a time and counting down for Stuart's return. I still am working at "The FC" as we call it ( Franklin Covey) and very much enjoy my position.

Stuart - is currently in the middle east and on the count down to return home. We miss him so much and are so proud of him.

Emily turns the BIG 5

This year for Emily's birthday we took her to Corn Belly's it is a Halloween/Harvest festival they hold at Thanksgiving Point each year. It is centered around kids and they had a ton of great activities for them. Emily and Sam in the pumpkin patch.

Emily and Sam on Cinderella's pumpkin coach.
Emily wanted to get her face painted, she has a pretty pink butterfly.

Carson got a scary skull

Sam got a baseball
And Tyler got a tribal design.
They went for a ride in a giant rocking chair.
Played on the play grounds
Tyler and Carson even got locked up with the rule breakers
Tyler went for a ride on a bull
So did Carson, Emily wanted to go for a ride also but only stayed on the bull long enough to have the bull move. We couldn't even get a picture.
The kids turned into Animals, we couldn't get Sam to look through the sheep head but he was behind there. We stopped for a little snack as the rain started to roll in. We had foot long corn dogs, curly fries and fried pickles. They were actually pretty good. Thanks Brian for convincing us to try them.
After we decided the rain and wind was not going to stop we went over to see Grandpa at Cabela's and played at the shooting gallery.
Sam would not let anyone help him. He could barely see over the top of the counter but was having a wonderful time non-the less.
Daddy helped Emily shoot.
After the shooting gallery we headed back home for dinner and Cake and Ice cream. Emily picked the menu of Hot dogs, salad and pink juice.
