We had a busy busy month.  I'm not a big fan of busy all the time.  I feel it's a distraction from what's most important in life.  But... it's all part of life.  So this was our month.

Family Birthday Celebration for Spencer & Raquel

The wreath on our front door had two nests on it. We had about 30 eggs in them throughout the year.  At first it was cool! Then it starting driving me crazy! Several eggs bounced out and scrambled on our front porch. It was always such a big mess!

Our door was caked in bird nastiness! I had to throw away the wreath. Au revoir spring and summer wreath!

The aftermath of the baby shower. It's always fun to clean up  the after math of any party at your house. It was fun and well worth it though!

We try to read our scriptures every morning before school. Try is the key word!

Jason is currently our Cub master, which will be changing shortly. And we are also the Wolf  Den Leaders until I can find someone else that can do it. At this cub meeting, we were teaching the wolves, who are 8 years old, how to raise, retire, and fold the flag. Thank you to our school and Reuben for allowing us to use their flag pole!

This is view I have every morning while I'm making lunch. It's 6:45am and Uriah just sits at my feet waiting for me to drop some food for him to eat off the floor. He's like a doggy! haha!

A Baby Shower

The other night I had a baby shower for a friend of mine. She's having her 3rd child, but 1st girl! I feel like so many people have helped us out by giving us showers for our first 2 kids and diaper showers for kids 3 and 6. So I try to pay it forward by having or helping others with theirs.... especially if it's their 1st of the gender. It worked out well because we had our carpets shampooed on friday, so we took everything out of the rooms and put it in the garage.  So we just kept everything out there for the shower so I could fit people and food. About 24 women came! So thankful for all the love and support given to April!

WE had optional games just in case people didn't want to play and just hang out.

Desert Table

So I'm pretty simple when it comes to decorations. And this was the extent of it.

The appetizer table. Not everything was out yet. But what did I do with my kids and the few kids that came over? The boys stayed outside in the backyard, as you can see through the window. And the girls stayed up stairs.

Having the homework desk worked out great for the appetizers. This is also the toy room. My hubby doesn't want me to bring the toys back in, but my lil boys are bored without them. So they're coming back.

So thankful that Cheri helped! No one should ever have to do a baby shower alone! My friend Donna helped too, but couldn't come because she had a migraine that night.

This is April! Isn't she beautiful! She is awesome!

Vote Maci for Public Relations Director!

Maci decided to run this year for Public Relations Director at her school. We were so proud of the fact that she had the guts to do it.  I'll be honest, I didn't think she was going to win. I know these things are usually a popularity contest.  And Maci just has a small group of friends at school. Since I was thinking she was going to lose and be heart broken, I made a cake for her. But it turned into a Congratulations cake! Way to go Maci!

Um kids, isn't it summer? Oh ya, daddy likes the AC cold! They're just enjoying there last week of being able to watch TV before school starts. Once it starts, they can only watch it on the weekend.

My niece Shelby stayed with us for the summer! It was wonderful! This was her last night in PL with some of her friends here. We miss her so much!

First Day of School! 4 kids in school?! Crazy!

Elijah's first day of Kindergarten and school. He didn't ever go to preschool so he was very nervous! But loves it now!

Ezra loooved having the kids in school! He got the computer all to himself!

Yep, homework on the first day! We added this countertop in our toy room for the kids to do their homework on. I don't know why we didn't do it sooner! It's been a lifesaver!

Celebrated 2 of my dearest friends birthdays! They put on their own birthday brunch... poor things! It was so fun though and the kids loved it too. We decided we're going to do it once a season!
