Here are some silly pics of Sadee... she's quite the little girl~
Hmmm.... where's Sadee? We play that game a lot with her. She thought it was funny that she was right on my lap and I couldn't find her because of the mask. I love how simple kids are with their sense of humors.
Sadee playing at the new park that just opened down the street from us.
Ruff ruff!! Daddy is playing doggy and carrying his pup Sadee around.... she loved it!!
This morning I took Isaiah to school and left Maci and Sadee home while daddy was sleeping. When I left the house, Sadee was all dressed. When I came home, this is how I found her.....
She stripped her clothes off and was getting into the diaper bag and found my Mary Kay color stay lipstick. Good job applying the lipstick Sadee!!

Happy Birthday Derriere!
Oct. 24th was my little big brother brothers birthday. Derek King Meyer! I couldn't imagine our family without him. Who would we have argued with growing up if Derek wasn't around? Who would we tease for talking and kicking the walls in their sleep if Derek wasn't around? haha And there are many more things that I can mention, but won't because I don't want to embarrass him. But in all seriousness, I am so thankful for Derek. He has so many wonderful qualities that he brings into the family. I love talking with him and hanging out with him. And I know my husband loves it too. Thanks D for being such a great brother, brother in law, and uncle! We love you!! Happy Birthday! Here are some pics throughout the years....
Spencer & I visiting Derek at the hospital Oct. 24th 1985

Awww... look at those curls

I remember Derek always wearing that vest around the house.

Derek is a sleeper....

Derek has always been the type to do service for others, what a great example!

Derek served a mission in the Nashville Tennessee Mission.... he ate some crazy stuff down there.

Uncle Derek the horse! All the kids love to ride on his back.

Derek's 23rd BIrthday 2008.... hmmm, I wonder what his wish is... hahaah!

A day at the beach....
Last week we were able to meet up with some of our friends, from our Cedar City days, in Southern California. Chip & Nicole Sanders and their 3 kids, Cadence, Alissa, & Connor. We went to Disneyland, California Park, and the beach. We had so much fun!! WE went to Disneyland on thursday and the weather was perfect and there weren't a lot of people at the park. On friday, we went to California Adventure, but didn't stay too long because there wasn't much there for younger kids. So we went back to Disneyland. The park was packed!! WE couldn't believe how many people were there. On saturday, we went to Seal Beach and enjoyed a windy, but sunny day at the beach. The water was cold, but not as cold as Northern Cali water... which is numbing. So we loved the warmer water! And then we came home on sunday. The kids had so much fun, especially with the Sanders. Isaiah's favorite ride was Star Tours, Maci's was the Mattehorn, Sadee's was Dumbo, Elijah's was the Jungle Cruise, and Jason's was Pirates of the Carribean. Elijah slept almost the whole time we were at the parks. He did a great job!! Isaiah walked just as much as us and never complained! The girls did very well too... Sadee went on a lot of the big rides and did great. She was pretty tired though and so was Maci. But Maci loved the big thrill rides. WE were totally shocked. Here are some things we learned...
1. Bring your own snacks & food if you can into the park. Paying $6.79 for 1 slice of pizza at Disneyland when I can eat about 5 slices makes a very expensive meal.
2. Use fastpasses!! They are amazing!
3. Trying to get 2 big strollers and 4 kids on a small shuttle with 50 other people is definately a ride in itself.
4. If your spouse is tired, go back to toontown and let the kids play in the treehouse while your spouse naps on the benches. There are actually some nice resting areas there.
5. So Cal ocean water is warm enough to where you don't have to wear a wetsuit and pee in it just so your body doesn't go numb.
6. The hotel gift shop has cheaper souvenirs than DL.
7. Keep track of the things you leave in your hotel room... because maid service might just take something. Ya, Jason's leather sandals mysteriously disappeared from our room.
8. Go with extended family or friends to the parks... the kids will be more entertained in lines and will least likely whine, complain, and fight with their siblings.
9. Don't let having a newborn stop you from going.... its amazing how much they sleep in those first few months!
10. If you have any political bumper stickers, beware of those that are on the opposite side. Example.. having a YES for PROP 8 bumper sticker on your car might get your car egged. It didn't happen to us, but to another family that was staying in the hotel from the Bay Area. It didn't happen at the hotel but somewhere else. Crazy!!
11. The black lights in The Haunted House not only make your white clothes and teeth glow, but if you have cradle cap your head glows too. Yes, Elijah's head was glowing like mad... he blended in well with the ghostly decor.
Anyway, here are the pics from our trip.... hope you enjoy!
Jason actually loved the beach this time....
Isaiah the shark and Cadence
Playing Bocce Ball or Petanque... whatever you want to call it. I love Chip's stance....

Yea Mickey & Minnie!! We only had to stand in line for like 5 mins to see them since we were there so early.

Here's part of our group, waiting to go into Honey I shrunk the Kids.

Alissa & Maci hanging out while waiting in line.... they became great friends!

Cool Glasses Dude... as Jason would say!

The kids listening to the music before the parade... they were so tired, but enjoyed watching it anyway.

Mommy & Maci being silly in the hotel.

Elijah's smile just melted my heart!! He loved being there and had soooo much fun!

Here are Chip & Jason in line for Finding Nemo

Here are Nichole & me back at the hotel.... I'm so glad we all met up! We had a blast

We were able to switch with the Sanders on a few rides... we watched their son Connor while they went on the ride and they would watch Sadee and Elijah while we went on it. It worked out very well. Here we are with all of our stuff waiting for the Sanders.

Connor is such a ham... I love the look on Sadee's face!

I loved seeing the smiles on the kids' faces.... it was the best part of the trip!

Jason and I after a long but fun 2 days at the Disney Parks.

Mickey's Pumpkin Head

Jason taking a little siesta in toontown while the kids played in Chip N Dales treehouse. He was soooo tired!

Happy Halloween!! California Adventure was decorated in candy corns... it was so cute!

Ariel's Grotto... Lunch with the Disney Princesses
My friend Nicole and I were able to take our girls to Ariel's Grotto, in California Adventure, to have lunch with some of the Disney Princesses. The food was very good and we had a blast meeting the Princesses. My girls weren't as excited as I thought they would be, but I think they were just so tired since it was our 2nd day in the Disney Parks. I couldn't get them to smile for anything though, but they were excited and happy to see the princesses. Maci, the fashion diva, probably wasn't smiling because she felt so under dressed compared to the Princesses. hahaha. The princesses did such a wonderful job and seemed so real... I think it would be a great job to have! But anyway, here are a few pics of the girls with the Princesses.....
Here we are with Ariel... she was the perfect hostess!!

Snow White!

Cinderella!!

Maci had to give Cinderella a hug!

Belle!

Aurora!

Cinderella was kind enough to get another picture just with Elijah. She offered to kiss him but I thought he would probably break out from her lipstick since his skin is so sensitive. It was cute though, she kept calling him her little prince charming. :-)
