Soccer Ball Under My Shirt?

We went to the park today and of course when we go to the park, I don't wear nice clothes because I know I'll get dirty. For some reason, I'm having a hard time fitting into a lot of my maternity shirts, so I just grabbed a big soccer jersey. Anyway, I was sitting on a bench at the park and was having some Braxton Hicks Contractions so I was feeling my tummy and a little boy walked up to me and said... "Why do you have a soccer ball under your shirt?" I started laughing and said that I had a baby in my tummy. I told him, if I had a soccer ball under my shirt, it would be a lopsided one because my tummy wasn't totally round. He just looked at me totally confused. So I told him to go ask his mom why I had a soccer ball under my shirt. It was pretty funny. I didn't really understand though what he meant until I asked Isaiah to try to use the video camera to take a still shot of me. When I saw this pic...... I understood why the little boy asked me that question. Dang gena.... that is one big soccer ball though. hahahah! July 31 2008

Happy Birthday Isaiah!! The big 0-6!!!

Today is Isaiah's 6th birthday! We can't believe how the years have flown by. It seriously seems like just yesterday when I went into the hospital to be induced and delivered this perfect little baby boy. Isaiah King McOmber! How lucky we are that Heavenly Father has entrusted us to raise such a wonderful boy. I'm not just saying this because he is our son, but Isaiah is truly amazing. He's so patient, loving, kind, funny, daft, a great helper, obedient, caring, & most importantly he loves his family, people, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has seriously taken care of me the last 8 months because I've been so sick with this pregnancy. He's learned how to make sandwiches and get snacks for him and his sisters. He's learned to change Sadee's diaper when I couldn't. He wakes up every morning so positive and happy and asks how I'm feeling and how the baby is doing. The other day when him and Sadee got birthday cards in the mail with money in it... he felt bad that Maci was left out because her birthday isn't for another month... so he got up the next morning and made her a card and got into his piggy bank and put money and the card in an envelope and gave it to her. He's just such a good kid and we appreciate his wonderful Christ like example and appreciate how good of a son he is. We are very proud of him! I just thought I would post some pics of him from the last 6 years.......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAE!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Still no camera.... :-(

We have officially lost our camera!! It disappeared a week before we moved from Roseville! UGH!! If I don't find it in the next week, we'll have to get a new one. UGH! Anyway, life here in Plumas Lake is GREAT!!! Living in a house is amazing!! One would never think how amazing it is until you live in apartments for 7 years. But I'm thankful for each of those apartment experiences! We're not quite unpacked yet... still have a ways to go. But it's all good. If I wasn't pregnant, this place would be done. It's all part of life though. I am at week 37 with my pregnancy, dialated to a 1 1/2, and have gained a whopping 54 pounds, counting the 14 that I lost from morning sickness. I still have a few weeks left, but it would be so nice if the baby decided to come in the first week of Aug. I doubt it though.... they never come when you want them too. ;-) Jason is doing well and keeping very busy with work and doing everything around here that I can't do... which is almost everything! I'm so thankful for everything he has done since I've been out of it. The kids are amazing also! They do so well keeping eachother entertained and working together. They'll even let me take a 2 hour nap if I need to. I'm the luckiest mom ever to have them!! They love living here also and are so excited for the baby to come. This weekend we're celebrating Isaiah and Sadee's birthdays... so hopefully my lil sis will let me use her camera for that. So that's what's going on in the McOmber household. I'll keep you all updated on everything.... even without the camera. Have a beautiful day!
