:-)

I just thought I would let you all know how we're doing. Life has been pretty crazy for the last week, but a good crazy. The end of school is drawing near and the weather is finally starting to warm up again. We are moving on June 27th/28th to Plumas Lake, which is 10 mins. south of Marysville and 30 mins. north of Sac. We will be renting a house over there until we know what's going on with Jason's job situation. We're excited to be able to get into a house, but we will definately miss Roseville so much! It usually takes me about a year to adjust to a new move.... and once I finally feel comfortable and feel like it's home, it's time to move again. Someday we'll hopefully settle down though. Jason is working like crazy. He will be starting to work nights in a few weeks though... but this night job will be a lot less stress than this day job he's on now. The kids are well. Isaiah is loving school and is sad that he'll be leaving his friends here in Roseville. The girls are doing well and they're like best friends now.... just playing all the time. Maci is such a good big sister to Sadee. And Sadee is saying new words everyday. My, how time flies when you're having fun. I'm doing well with the pregnancy. And I've never in my life been so thankful to have a healthy good day like I am now. I have about 4 good days and 3 tough days a week now.... which is great!! So much better than being so sick and weak 7 days a week. So no complaints here. The baby is growing and moving like crazy and we're still having a hard time choosing a name if it's a boy. We got a girls name though.... so if it is a boy, it's might be nicknamed #4 for a few weeks after he's born. hahah So ya, all is well here in the McOmber household. As for extended family, they're doing generally well also. Jason's sister Carey is having some major health issues with her kidney's and stones and what not, so please keep her in your prayers. Well, it'll be a busy month of packing and finding a house, so I'm not sure how many posts will be up this month. So until then, au revoir!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our blog has been acting up lately and I haven't been able to put anything on here without an error occurring. So let's hope this one gets on here.... Anyway, so for Memorial Weekend we planned a trip to Muir Beach/San Rafael, which is just north of San Fransisco. We were going to spend saturday at the beach and then just lounge around on sunday. Well, our trip became altered because of the weather. It was so cold and rainy on saturday, but we decided to go anyway. My mom, dad, Cami, Derek, and Shelby met us down there. Even though we only spent an hour at the beach and it was freezing cold, we had a blast just getting out. We ended up going back to the hotel and went swimming. Then we went to our favorite Indian restaurant, The Lotus. I was very weary about taking my family there, because I wasn't sure if they would like it or not. But they ended up enjoying it immensely. (I think Shelby was bummed that they didn't have hamburgers there though.) hahaha We then went back to the hotel and enjoyed a reception with snacks and drinks and hanging out in the lobby/atrium. We were all pretty tired though and went to bed pretty early... we got up the next morning and the weather was beautiful! We ate a delicious breakfast and took off to a cheese factory near Petaluma. We wanted to go on a tour of it, but they had that section closed off for remodeling. So we ended up having a picnic and just enjoyed the nice weather. We enjoyed being able to get out and away from the chaotic ways of life. We came home sunday and on monday, we just hung out all day long and relaxed. Jason and I enjoyed the relaxing, but the kids weren't too fond of it. But ya, it was fun and that was our weekend. Hope you all had a great weekend too! Here are some pics from our weekend.....

Here are some pics of us hanging out in the hotel lobby.....

There were some awesome Koi Ponds and a rock waterfall in the lobby of the hotel. Here are some pics of the kids looking at the fish. The koi loved people and would swim up and suck on your finger if you stuck your finger in the water. The kids loved it!

Here are pics of our favorite Indian Restaurant in the Bay Area..... They have the best Indian food ever! We love it so much! We took my parents, Cami, and Shelby there and I was kinda scared that they wouldn't like it, but they loved it! Here is the link if you're ever in the area of San Rafael....

A Cold Day At the Beach

Here are some photos from our beach experience. It was sooooo cold! At least it stopped raining long enough for us to go and enjoy it for an hour or so. May 24th 2008

Feather Fiesta Days

Last weekend we went up to Oroville for the big Feather Fiesta Day Parade. I guess close to 10,000 people came for it. We had so much fun!!! We cheered for everyone that was in it, which made it funner....(even for the democrats) hahaha... And the kids got soooo much candy, it was not even funny. We did miss having Spencer and Derek there and the rest of the McOmber Family there, but maybe next year! So here are some pics... Sat May 9th 2008

Field Trip to the Hamburger Farm!!

Today we had a wonderful opportunity of chaperoning Isaiah's field trip to the Hamburger Farm in Wheatland. This is the same farm we went to for the Pumpkins last Oct. When they are on their off season for pumpkins, they turn it into a Hamburger Farm with different activities. It was a lot of fun and very informative. First we started out at the petting zoo, then rode the train to the big garden. At the garden, our guide showed the kids wheat and they were able to grind it into flour. (brought back memories of my mom turning on her wheat grinder to make whole weat waffles growing up) Then we continued to see the tomotoes, onions, lettuce, cucumbers(pickles), and then finally the cow. We pretty much saw all the indgredients to a cheeseburger. The cow was huge.... she was 7 months pregnant! I felt like I could relate to her! hahaha... After we talked about the cows, we went to dig up potatoes. The kids were so proud of digging up their own potatoes. Then they put one through a french fry cutter and the kids were amazed! It was funny! Then we were able to go see some beehives and look for the queen bee. Isaiah found it! After that we jumped back on the train and they provided a cheeseburger lunch for us. It was delicious. The kids were able to play after that on the barn slides and we all had a blast.... even though it was 101 degrees outside!! It was a great experience though for the kids and they learned so much. Hearing the adults comments also were interesting because half of them didn't know about the gardens, bee's and animals. I really felt lucky to have grown up with a very rich agricultural background. With my Grandpa Meyer being a beekeeper and my Grandpa King being a dairy farmer, I guess I never realized how many experiences I've had around ag. Also, the many gardens we've had in our backyard growing up. A lot of people in the Sacramento area and many other cities are never exposed to those things. I'm thankful that I have been and I can't wait for the opportunity that we'll have when we have a house someday to grow a garden. But anyway, so here are some pics from our day. I didn't get to take too many because I had 5 water bottles in my hands and trying to keep track of my group of kids. But I hope you all enjoy them......

Chooooo Choooo.... here we are on the train....

We got to grind out own wheat into flour!!

Isaiah was chosen from the class to come pull up an onion.... he did a great job!

Milking of the cows! They had 2 fake wood cows with water that could be squeezed out of the udders. It was awesome! The kids love "milking" the cow. Here are some pics of it......

Open House

We had the chance to go to our first Open House! It felt so weird being the parent and not the kid, big sister, or aunt. It was awesome though! It was amazing to see the progress of the kids. The 5th graders also put on a wax museum. It was very impressive. There were about 100 different kids that participated. They dressed up as a historic figure and stood still. Then you would go up and tap their shoulder and they would explain whom they were and tell us a short story about their lives. It was awesome!

Isaiah, Maci and Sadee outside Isaiah's classroom door.

This is Isaiah's writing journal.

This was Isaiah's first journal entry in the first week of Kindergarten. I love the scribble lines..... :-)

Here is Isaiah's most recent journal entry. Can you believe it? I was shocked and amazed!! it's amazing what can happen in 8 short months at 5 days a week and 3 hours a day! I can't believe what a 5 year can accomplish! May 2008

A few pics from the past week....

Life for the McOmber family has been going well. We've all pretty much been healthy. Other than mommy.... as Isaiah puts it, "The baby in mommy's tummy makes her sick." hahah We are loving the warm weather though and we try to take advantage of it as much as we can. Jason is enjoying work in Elk Grove and Caltrans has entrusted him to already be the lead inspector on a job. It's a lot of hard work and seems like most of the time he has to put out fires between people and help people learn to communicate with eachother, but he's learned so much from it and has grown immensely and we are very thankful for that. The next few weeks will be quite eventful for us. So I'll take lots of pictures and hopefully put them on here. Until then, here are a few pics from the last week. Hope you enjoy them.....

Here is Maci and her best friend in Roseville, Kennedi. Kennedi is moving to Indiana and we'll miss her a lot! 5/03/08

Silly Sadee playing outside of our apartment! Now that it's warm outside, we're pretty much outside all the time. It probably drives our poor neighbors crazy! 5/2/08

Isaiah found this stick while fishing. He pretends it's his gun and he goes exploring outside with it. 5/2/08
