A sunday evening in our house!

Here are the kids on a sunday night just hanging out. I'm sure you've noticed the many treasures surrounding them. This is a typical day in our lives. Everything and anything pulled off the shelves, out of the cupboards, wherever they can get to while mommy is busy making dinner or cleaning up another mess. It's all good though! Even though they're constant mess makers and criers, they are so darn cute! Feb. 4th 2007
And this is Jason in his infamous study room which is actually a storage closest that is unfinished. He lives in this room during the semester and has to shut the door to try to get some privacy from us. I give him props for not ever giving up and studying under some interesting circumstances. From staying in a tiny little closest to studying with the children on his lap, to me constantly having to discipline the kids while he's trying to focus, to their crying, to everything else that goes on in our little house. He rocks and is my inspiration for not ever giving up no matter how hard life gets!! Feb 4th 2007

We'll Miss You Grandma King!

So, we went out to Northern Utah for my Grandma King's funeral. She is my mom's mother. What a huge blessing to have the knowledge of the plan of salvation because instead of having a miserable, uncomfortable, crying all the time, lost and scared feeling like most people have at funerals.... it was a beautiful event!! At the funeral itself, there were lots of tears and laughing as we celebrated a wonderful woman's life here on this earth. But being back there was a lot of fun as we were able to visit with so much family and it also felt as though Grandma and Grandpa had never left. There was a lot of comfort, joy, peace, and love..... just like when her spirit still inhabited her body. Of course we will miss Grandma like crazy, but we are so glad that she is back with our Heavenly Father, Savior Jesus Christ, and of course with Grandpa and the rest of her family that has passed! I just wanted to post a few pics of the funeral. I love the headstone and the beautiful snow covered mountains! Grandma, we'll see ya soon.... but hopefully not too soon. ;-)1/30/2007

We went to an Elk Ranch called Hardware Ranch up in the mountains of Cache Valley. My great grandpa King was the fish and game warden back in the day and he used to ride all over these same mountains on horseback. It was cool seeing all the elk eating and being so close to them. 1/29/07
Here are some more elk.
This is the wagon we rode on to go see the elk. It was pulled by 2 huge Clidesdale Horses. It was a blast.
Here are some of the McOmber grandchildren with their grandma. January 2007
