Take Flight

Hi there and welcome to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
This week we are encouraging you to
TAKE FLIGHT
and use in your projects anything that fly.

As always you could be a random winner of $50 voucher
and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store.

I LOVE dragonflies and see them as a nature's treasure.
Love to watch them in their energetic flight and how they stop
in the air without moving and love to admire their beauty.
My dragonfly sat on the tree made with maple helicopter seeds.

I got so addicted to make this project that I forgot to make pics...
Let me try to explain shortly how I made this panel.

1. Adhered leftovers of Sizzix Ornate Frame on the edges of my panel.
2. Covered the surface with white gesso and modeling paste.
3. Adhered the maple fruits with a thick layer of distress collage medium.
Left a longer while to dry cause the helicopter seeds didn't collaborate.
4. Sprayed all the panel with yellow, green and brown sprays.
5. Added the trunk made with Sizzix 3D embossing folder.
6. Highlighted all the uneven parts with metallique paints and waxes.
7. Placed some rubons and splashed heavily with white paint + water.
8. Cut out dragonflies out of a cardboard and music notes sheets.

Vampire

Hello everyone and welcome to our new
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is very scary this week
due to HALLOWEEN/SPOOKY theme!

Just remember that you can become a random winner of $50 voucher
and spend it having fun at Simon Says Stamp Store

I am totally NOT a halloween person, I don't make such projects,
we don't celebrate this holiday in Poland and I am panic at spiders :-)
So it was a real challenge for me to make something like that.

Finally...

Let me introduce you to Mr. Thomas F. Little...
A very known vampire No.13 on the most wanted list.
Finally he was found, caught and put down, you are all safe now!

Yes, he's inside there!
Scroll down if you dare...!

Ok, now when he's down there in the cage, fixed with wires,
I can show you more pictures and close -ups :)

I made this cage completely from zero by cutting a very thick cardboard,
adhering all the walls together and embellish with Tim Holtz Crowded Attic papers all around, I also added a ribbon to can close it up.

Then I just placed inside some pieces of red and black lace, glued them to the bottom of the cage and to the walls.
I distressed the picture with sand paper, made holes for the wire,
placed it throught them the way it looks like it keep him attached.

Then I played with blood here and there, that was the most funny part!
I am quite (or very) spooky person and it would scare me to death in real
but I even managed to place a spider on his hat! I am soooo strong :D

Mr. Little wishes you all a very Happy Halloween!
