Willa's first time skiing

We decided it would be fun to let Willa try her hand (or her feet as it were) at skiing. We headed up to Mt. Baker and gave it a try!
Gearing up!

Helmet and harness... safety first!

Heading to the slopes...

Skis on and ready to go!

Willa kept saying " I want to do it myself and go faster!"

Willa loved to tow rope. She wanted to do that by herself as well!

Mommy and Willa

The hot chocolate might have been Willa's favorite part

Getting ready to gear up for some more skiing. We kept asking her if she was ready to go and she would say  " no daddy I have a lot more skiing to do!"  The next morning the first thing she said when she got up was  "can we go skiing again today?"

It started snowing at the end of the day so Willa started to care less about skiing and more about catching snowflakes on her tongue!

Happy New Year!

One of our local children's museums has a new year's eve party every year... only they celebrate at noon instead of midnight(hey it's midnight somewhere, right?) So for our third year running Ann Marie and I took Willa and Olivia to celebrate!

Solo excited! It's a sprint to the doors...

Working the crane

Checking out their handy work

These two are very serious about the shadow wall

A little crafting with Ann Marie in the craft room

Getting ready for the countdown...

A little horn practice before the big moment

Getting ready for a very loud rendition of aud lang sign (sp?)

Happy new year friends!

Christmas Eve & Day

Christmas was pretty low key this year... Gg, GranJan, uncle Jesse and us. We made a big breakfast and had dinner catered.... Easy! It was so fun watching Adlai enjoy her first Christmas. Here are the pics from our celebration...
Adlai eats her first Christmas dinner

A snuggle from uncle Jesse

The girls got a lot of books for Xmas. Here they take a break for some story time... They're so advanced!

Our soon to be walker!

Adlai gets a little help opening her gifts

Waffles, eggs and bacon... Yum!

Bret and I both had the tradition of opening one gift on Xmas eve so, Willa does the same.

Reign deer booty!

The family after Xmas eve service

Willa singing in the choir... Soooo cute!

Christmas Festivities

We had a crazy fun December filled with all kinds of celebrations, fellowship with friends, the Nutcracker and even the Christmas Childrens choir at church

Our play group came over for a morning of cookie decorating and, yes, play!

A lot of cookies were decorated and most of them got eaten right away!

Riley is very serious about her decorating...

That is one happy, frosting covered Ashby!

Adlai and Gabby... no cookies for them yet!

Story time in Willa's room... I sware the bed was made that morning

More cookie decorating...

Willa decorated a cookie for each family member

Getting ready to go caroling at a local nursing home.

This is our third year doing this... The kiddos are the ones singing this year! Not just the moms!

Singing up and down the halls

All sung out!

Heading out to check out the Xmas lights at the local mobile home park... those snowbirds do it right!

Willa's response to every house was.... "that's amazing!"

Unbeknown to us, Willa volunteered herself for the children's choir... The girl loves to sing! It wasn't until the week before they were going to sing in church that we found out that she had been practicing with te other kids during Sunday school!

Willa went to nutcracker for the first time this December. It was a girls day out with mommy and GranJan. Willa liked it until about halfway through when there was a loud fight scene. We left for some hot chocolate after that...
