Willa's Dedication

It was such a blessing to have all of our family and our good friends take part in Willa's dedication. Our friend Hans facilitated for us. Kevin and Megan Goldsberry prepared a prayer for Willa based on the meaning of her name Willa- determined guardian and Marie - beloved. Janel lead the parent and community covenant. Jim and Jana anointed Willa's feet, Leah's dad, Ron, anointed her hands, Dennis, Bret's Dad anointed her mind, Karen and Jan, Bret and Leah's moms anointed her heart, and our good friends Chris and Stephanie Hankey anointed her eyes. Jesse, Leah's brother read the prayer of Saint Francis and Leah's Grandpa closed the dedication in prayer. It was a precious time with friends and family!

Willa's 5 month Pics

Our good friend Alissa come over to take more beautiful pictures of Willa on her 5 month b-day!

At Play...

Willa is such a hoot these days! Between playing with Lyle, sucking her toes and doing yard work with dad in her backpack she is quite entertaining!

Willa Starts on Solids

Here are a few pictures of Willa her first time trying rice cereal (which she liked despite what the pictures may suggest)!

Willa sits up

Willa is growing and changing daily! She has started sitting up! This is a change from her floor play... she has been rolling all over the place. She could literally roll from one end of our house to the other if things like walls didn't get in the way!

The Greenest Family- Reality Show

Our friends Todd and Carrie are competing in this new reality show and had to pull together a team of friends and family for a group competition. Bret was on their team and did a great job if I do say so myself! Here are a few pictures from the day... Bret getting make-up, Bret getting interviewed, and the team interview.

The Yard

I know it is moderately lame to post pictures of our yard but Bret has done an amazing job creating a beautiful outdoor space for us to enjoy.

Playtime

Willa inherited Sam Goldsberry's exisaucer... she loves it! Willa also loves to spend time on her blanket with her toys. In this photo she has successfully wrestled and pinned Oscar the Grouch. Like father, like daughter!

A weekend with friends in Seattle

We spent the next day with Bret's good friend Einar and his wife Stephanie, who are also expecting in a few short weeks. It was Stephanie's baby shower. Bret got to spend time with Einar and a bunch of their roommates from the 17th Ave house while Leah celebrated with Stephanie and friends. There were tons of babies in attendance as well! Note the picture of Einar and Bret dressed exactly the same. Unplanned, of course!

We got the chance to visit Bret's good friend Andy and his wife Eva at there fun new house! They are expecting their first little one in a few short weeks. We had a great time hanging out and eating way too much great food!
