I made this very out of my comfort zone ATC..... to show the blogging world 'suffolk pink'.....
In Suffolk.... where i hale from , people have a very stange obsession with painting their houses 'suffolk pink'..... WHY?
My atc is stamped, masked and stamped again.... coloured with promarkers...and mounted on black.

Macabre mondays

It is still actually monday and of cause its MACABRE......
Last week it was PINK...... and this week it is.......


Creepy Cute

I used a TIDDLY INKS image and digi paper.... the image is coloured with promarkers,the digi-paper i printed out onto purple paper and coloured the skulls with chinese white pencil.

I used the paper to cover a sturdy box...base and lid.... cut out the image and modpodged it on and sealed it.

I lined the box with some foam and spiders web material.
This little box hold the pressie i have made for my sisters birthday on wednesday....

....... and this is it..... a watch/charm bracelet.

STAMPITCRAZY CHALLENGE #3

Its time for the 3rd challenge at STAMPITCRAZY.... and this weeks challenge has been choosen by my teamie Alex and its to make a project featuring your version of RED RIDING HOOD, and include a TRIANGLE, RIBBON and METAL....

................so heres mine using a STAMPITCRAZY digi called RED HOOD..... i know, i've done it purple..... i have used basic grey paper, purple ribbon, a metal pumpkin charm, and i made a row of triangles from green paper.... oh yes i used some orange net of ... you guessed it...oranges!

The image is coloured with promarkers.... and the basic grey background paper has had a slight colour change using purple ink around the edges. I cut the 'spooky' out of a sweetie bag from last halloween.... nothing goes to waste in this house!

SMEARED INK CHALLENGE...VOTING TIME!!!!

Sorry guys ....i'm a day late with this one.... for this weeks challenge there was a grungy sketch to follow and we had to use SMEARED INK stamps.
I used 2 of the TEEN BACKGROUNDS..... stamped and embossed with black on to a tomato red card stock.
Lots of distressing and ink.... crumpled the card.... you know...really distressed it! Stampinsanity

I have had this little wallet tucked away for ages just waiting to be altered.... so i had a play.
The challenge at STAMPINSANITY this week is to use YELLOW and BUTTONS.
I stamped my favourite Grumpie from SMEARED INK http://www.smearedink.com/ onto white cotton and painted it with fabric paint. Once dry i coloured the background with ink... sew on 3 buttons and waited for it to completely dry. I then sew it on to the front of the wallet and covered the edges with a sequin strip that i glued down.

TUESDAY TAGGERS

Its still tuesday although its late evening.... sorry guys.... and we have a new challenge at TUESDAY TAGGERS and the challenge is to make something inspired by a poem. I made this tag inspired by a poem by Lord Byron.... using SMEARED INK stamps.... http://www.smearedink.com/ The Nymph set.
I coloured it all in water colours and ink.
The dress is stamped onto acetate and colored with alcohol ink.... the edges are dabbed with stazon.
I cut the acetate to match the tag..... and you can move it to see the nymph nakie if you're that way incline.


Heres the verse.... i really do need a new camera...SOON!

MACABRE MONDAYS

It's monday so its time for MACABRE MONDAYS new challenge...... this one nearly gave me a heart attack...... and it sure drove me to the brink of insanity!

I painted a small box a dreadful shade of bubblegum pink..... 'borrowed' some tattoos ( you know the kind.... apply with water... rub off with baby oil) from my daughters, and put them on the sides of the box..... but ....crikey they were to small for the top so i cut out the image from the packed and glued it on.

I stamped a fake zipper around the opening edges and 'cracks' and finally blackened all the edges.

Considering it is really pink... and i do mean PINK it turned out ok with 3 coats of sealer..... it shines like the proverbial toilet door.

If i can do pink anyone can.... so i hope you can come and play with us minions this week........ please?

STAMPITCRAZY CHALLENGE #2

It is time for the 2nd challenge at STAMPITCRAZY, and we the DT were given this delightful digi image to work with.... ok shes not gruesome but she isnt very cute either..... and the challenge is GIRL WITH ATTITUDE...... and must include ribbon, retro flowers, and 2 embellies... and a sentiment. The sentiment is just perfect for me...... sarcasm is me to a 'T'.... unfortunately!
I always find flowers, ribbon and embellis difficult but i think i combined them very nicely into my grungy card.... pretty good for me!
I used SMEARED INK stamps to make my own background papers, and for the sentiment.
I followed the sketch from the SMEARED AND SMUDGED FORUM.
I coloured Savanna with promarkers..... and tore a 'V' out of the bottom corner and laced it up with ribbon. I drew some retro flowers, coloured them with promarkers too, cut 'em out and stuck 'em on..... i used funny little candy-dot thingys as my embellies.


Isnt this digi great? Only Barb can give character like this to a cutie-pie image.

ROSIEDEE'S FINAL CHALLENGE

This is my final DT offering for ROSIEDEES..... the link is on my side bar.
ROSIEDEES is coming to an end after almost 2 years.... you can read all about it on the blog.
This fortnights challenge has been picked by Jackie and its ONE FOR THE BOYS....not little boys but the big boys in your life.
My offering is the card i made for my sons birthday 2 weeks ago.................. half naked females and big bikes are a favourite of his..... well maybe not now hes a married man... but i bet both still secretly are!
I kept it simple with just a stamped image distressed the edges with black ink and used some scrap book papers from my stash.... 3 words LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH..... stapled to the edge and mounted onto black card stock.

SMEARED INK CHALLENGE...VOTING TIME!!!!

Well this week i have been totally diverse with my crafting creations.... and this one is for the SMEARED INK CHALLENGE. ..... which is to use all the COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW.... and any SMEARED INK stamps. I used the flower with the skull centre from the KILLER BO PEEP set.... stamped on to white shrink plastic, coloured with pencil..... one in each colour of the rainbow.... red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

I made a bracelet with pandora style beads (from my rather large bead stash)and silver coloured beads with bales, so that i could attach my tiny skullflowers with jump rings.

I have coloured the back of each bead to match the front so when they are dangling they dont look scruffy.

STAMPITCRAZY

This is the 1st week of Barb of STAMPITCRAZY fame having a dt..... so its challenge #1 and its 'Boys have cooties'................ dont ask me what it means....other than we wanna see kids and a sentiment on your creation! When i say we... i mean that Barb has asked me to be on her design team and as i loooooooooove her rubber... and the digis arnt to bad.... i still struggle with digis... and this cute one nearly had me choked... but i think with the 'WTF' AND THE SPIDERS ... the cuteness is a bit more balanced! I used basic grey paper for the background.... i stamped and heat embossed in black on orange card 'spiders' background stamp from STAMPITCRAZY....where else? I punched a web boarder from black card and put a thin strip of orange on it that i wrote about boys on... and paper pieced over the blank sign the little lass is holding with a bit my background paper that i stamped and heat embossed.The image is coloured with water colours.... the background paper has been inked and nearly all the edges have been distressed.... and not just by the cuteness of the image!

Look at this cute little face,,,, no fangs or green flesh or anything.... makes you wanna be sick right?

Tuesday taggers

Well it is still Tuesday (just!) and here is my take on the new challenge set by my teamie Sally, which is Sea, Water, Boats,................ you just have to make something using one or more of these things.
I made another scene.... this time using a shipwreck from THIRD COAST... i think, the water nymph from SMEARED INK, and a couple of other stamps that i have no idea about! It is all coloured with water colours and ink.... the shells and weed are mounted on foam to give depth.

I used a chinese white pencil to (hopefully) give the impression of flowing water.

MACABRE MONDAYS

Well i am back.... and as its monday its gotta be MACABRE.
Our challenge for you this week is to use at least 3 stamps..... they can be digi or real rubber.... or a mix....whatever you like.
STAMPITCRAZY..... the link is on my side bar..... are sponsoring this challenge with some wonderful stamps as the prize..... and as anyone who comes here regularly knows i adore Barbs images.... Thank you Barb! For my offering i have used 4 stamps from STAMPITCRAZY..... and made up one of my little scenes...... i used the creepytree/graveyard stamp for my background..... then stamped our the row of graves twice and cut then out carefully and mounted them onto foam pads...one in front of the other.... i used a grave stone (the stamp actually has a hand grasping from behind the stone but i cut it off) and the beautiful sad angel stamp and attached them with foam pads too.

As usual for me ...everything is coloured with water colours and ink.

We have a competition running at MM this week and you all have to collect the 'personal' info from each of the DT blogs....so heres my personal secret..... 'Bat out of hell' was played at my husbands funeral.

TUESDAY TAGGERS

It is (still, just!) tuesday and that means its TUESDAY TAGGERS.... and this weeks theme has been picked by....ME! So guess what the theme is......? Pink and fru-fru? Cute and cuddly?....NO my theme for this week is BLACK.
So i teamed my 2 favourite colours together.... Red and Black and came up with this card.
The stamp is from the STAMPMAN http://www.thestampman.co.uk/catalog/ and i have been wondering what to do with it..... i stamped and embossed in black onto red card, tore the bottom edge and one side....and matted it onto black card, that i also tore along the bottom and one side.I then matted that onto a piece of patterned red paper from my stash... tore the bottom off it and stuck the 2 bits to my black card blank.
I used a naked chipboard 'love' and covered it in 3 coats of sparkly red embossing powder, made holes in it and mounted it to my card with red ribbon.
Oooops nearly forgot.... i smeared black ink around all my edges..... and added diamond glaze to the eyes.

Macabre mondays

Well its still monday... just! and the new challenge for you creepy freakers is FOUL FLUTTERINGS.
I have used this fantastic laughing devil stamp.... i think i got it from THIRD COAST...but if i'm wrong please correct me.
I stamped the image directly on to this piece of gorgeous digi-paper that i got from http://www.craftychaosdesigns.co.uk/ ... susan who designs the most wonderful 'dark and creepy' papers is also a MACABRE MINION..... and is gonna say 'what have you done to my paper you techno-idiot?' ..... my reply will be..... ' well.... i had the printer set on black ink only when i printed this page out.... BUT I LIKE IT... SO I'M USING IT!' The paper you would get is actually coloured but you can print it in black and white like i have !!!!! Anyhow back to the image.... i coloured him in shades of grey and the added a bit of red to the mix and did his wings and some of his body.... i added white highlights using a gel pen to the devil and the flowers.
I finished the card off with some black ribbon and a tibetan silver rose..... and i stamped a sort of lace design around the edges.

Isn't this devil wonderful..... i actually find him rather appealing!SAD hey?
