STAMPITCRAZY

Barb at STAMPITCRAZY is running a very short challenge.... short on time i mean.... it ends sunday, its a dead easy one..... just USE ONE OF HER STAMPS OR DIGI IMAGES.
If you havent looked at her store ..... go..... GO NOW! Her designs are fantastic.... both digi and rubber are awesome.
Its my turn on the smeared and smudged forum to do a 'perfect pin-up' what or who could be more perfect than Betty Boop?
I stamped her onto stampbord, coloured her with ink and the background, i scraped tiny bits away as highlights and coated it with vanish, whilst the vanish was still wet i placed 2 tiny clear ones on her earrings and a red one on her necklace.
I used my crop-o-dile to make a hole and used chunky chain to make Betty into a keyring.

The stamp is of cause from STAMPITCRAZY........ if i ever figure out what i'm doing i hope to open an ETSY store and BETTY will be there..... dont hold your breath thou.... i am a techno-idiot!

Tellens place

This is a very special post for me as my little girls made these christmas cards for the CHISTMAS challenge at TELLENS PLACE this week.
Georgina made the card on the left, and Michaela made the one on the right.
Both my girls spent a lot of time doing these and really enjoyed themselves and i promised them i'd use them on my blog.... so here they are...promise kept!

The image is EDWARD..... coloured with promarkers..... Georgina's is rainbow coloured as shes my rainbow girl..... Michaela is more traditional and used red.

They 3'd the images with foam pads on to christmas cards i brought in the sales for them to 'alter'. Both girls had fun with the pva glue and fake snow.... its on the hats and ground...... and the kitchen table, the floor, their clothes.... everywhere actually!

The centre one i made...... but i printed EDWARD out A4 size and cut his head off..... thats the ghoulish side of me coming out!

Tuesday taggers

Well it Tuesday and time for my TUESDAY TAGGERS DT offering..... this weeks challenge has been set by my teamie Emma and its CHRISTMAS IN JULY...... i'm not one to think about christmas usually until december but this is my 2nd christmas offering this week!
I have used a fantastic stamp from Barb at STAMPITCRAZY http://stampitcrazy.blogspot.com/ , i stamped it out 3 times, heat embossed in gold and decoupaged it up on foam pads.
I attached it to a card blank ( i brought cards in the sales and hacked 'em about!) and thats job done!

MACABRE MONDAYS

Oh yes Oh yes..... OH YES! If there was ever a design team for me.... this has to be it! and here i am on MACABRE MONDAYS 1st DT....THANK YOU BARB for asking me.... i am honoured, honest i am.
So on to this weeks challenge which is APPALLING ARACHNIDS.
Personally i love spiders.... and wont let anyone squish 'em at my house.... and what could be more beautiful than a spiders web with dew on, in the 1st light of morning?
I have altered a tiny tin using alcohol inks and a wonderful spider stamp from SMEARED INK http://www.smearedink.com/ its from their 'Killer bo peep' set.

The tin was coloured, then i stamped and heat embossed the spider..............................

then i coloured the spider with alcohol ink........... 3x coats of vanish to seal it, then what to put in it?

What could be better than spider earrings?

I love making my own jewelry ....so i made these earrings, using black chains, purple beads, tibetan silver beads and spider charms.

I tore some purple crepe paper to put inside the tin to protect them and thats it...job done.

Stampinsanity meets Burtonesque dolls

This is my 1st christmas card this year..... but not my last!
The challenge at BURTONESQUE DOLLS http://theburtonesquedolls.blogspot.com is NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS IN JULY..... they want to see you fuse halloween and christmas i think.... so thats what i've done.
I have used the nice neat and simple sketch from STAMPINSANITY http://stampinsanity.com/blog/ .... I have missed a few challenges there and i'm SORRY! I have used a STAMPOTIQUE stamp... love it!...coloured with water colours, the sentiment stamp is from Barb at STAMPITCRAZY (THE LINK IS IN MY SIDEBAR) and papers are....




WAIT FOR IT.....




(BLUSHING DEEPLY....) FOREVER FRIENDS!!!! How will i hold my head up in my darker haunts now? .....I know, i'll say i pinched them off the girls!

ROSIEDEE'S

This wees challenge over at ROSIEDEE'S has been chosen by my teamie TRACY and is........
can you guess by looking at my creation? .......................... ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL.... did ya get it right?
I used one of TELLENS PLACE's http://tellensplace.blogspot.com/ fantastic dark images for my 'great' creature and tiny stamps of little strange critters from DE-STEMPELWINKEL http://www.de-stempelwinkel.nl/ for my 'small' creatures.
I made a scenic backdrop using stamps from DESTEMPELWINKEL ..... everything is coloured with water colours and ink.
I tattered the edges of the scene and the card stock i mounted it on.
I made it into a sort of easel card type thing so that it stands.


This is a closer look at the 'great' creature.... i think he's so totally creepy...... a bit dragon, a bit minator..... but totally freaky.... LOVE HIM!

I have used a tiny canvas, 3x3 inchs, distress inks, water colours and stazon ink.
The image is from SMEARED INK.... i cut off his wings....he felt no pain, honest! all the tendrilly bits are from smeared ink also..... and the words are EDGAR ALLEN POE..... these words mean so much to me....... they sum up how i feel most of the time.

MACABRE MONDAYS

The challenge this week at MACABRE MONDAYS is FREAKERS FREE FOR ALL!!........... that means do whatever you like..... so i created a scene using 3 layers of stamped acetate over my base scene of an angel surrounded by bats.
The Angel is a NON SEQUITER stamp and the bats are INKADINKADOO.
I have used black mat card and glitter strips to hide the edges where you could have seen the foam pads that hold the layers of acetate.
The photo's not great but its nearly impossible to photograph something like this with my limited skills.
I will be back blogging normally next week i hope..... i have taken this week to clear my head and to get my self back on track emotionally.... i hope!

MACABRE MONDAYS

Barb over at MACABRE MONDAYS has the theme of WACKO JACKO.... no not the deceased popstar.... but jack-a-lanterns..... THIS IS MY OFFERING.... LATE AS USUAL!!!!!
Not good considering Barb is now gonna have her very 1st DT and as asked me to be on it.... the the WONDERFUL OZ.... get better soon hun, i miss ya.... soooooooooooo much! and 3 other great guys, SUE, DONNA and CREEPY GLOWBUG.

I have used black card as a base, BASIC GREY paper, the large pumpkin is a TATTER ANGELS stamp and i think the beautiful faerie is from Barb at STAMP IT CRAZY....PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong!

I coloured the images in watercolours.... cut 'em out and mounted them on foam pads.

The greeting was a 'left over' from the kids halloween stuff last year.
I roughly followed the sketch from the card sketch challenge on the SMEARED AND SMUDGED FORUM..... the link is on my side bar.... come and join in with us.... please?

I finally posted this with 7 minutes left on the linky thingy..... cutting it fine is an understatement!

Rosie dees DT card

The challenge this week over at ROSIEDEES has been choosen by Tracy and its BURGUNDY, PINK and CREAM..... eek!!! NOT my colours of choice but i actually quite enjoyed doing something a little different.... the image is one of the new releases from CRAFTS AND ME http://craftsandme.co.uk/ LOVELY HEY? I can imagine her done even darker than i have coloured her here.... shes watercoloured of cause.... very distressed K&CO PAPERS, BURGUNDY card stock, CREAM layer.... and flower with a black card rose i made in the middle..... and look closely... there is PINK in the pattern on the paper!

SMEARED INK CHALLENGE

I adore SMEARED INK stamps, and its not because i'm on the DT, its because the are different from the norm, slightly strange, off beat. and just a bit wicked.... sums me up to a 'T' .
The 1st challenge for july was to use the HOLY CITY set..... the set .... approxA4size sheet... of photo real stamps is totally Fantastic..... scenes from cemeteries...grave stones.... you know stuff i quite simply adore.
I decided to make a necklace and recycled some charity shop finds.... the heart was plain white, so i stamped on it with stazon. When dry i dabbed a tiny amout of purple alcohol ink around the edge of the front and tiny bits to add colour and depth to the image.

The sides and back are alcohol inked, randomly with black and purple.

On the back i stamped one of the SMEARED INK ,GODDESSES, and quickly wiped the ink off to leave the image in white on the inked surface.

I added a couple of crosses and a couple of dangly black beads to the simple necklace of squre black and tiny round silver beads.

Tuesday taggers

It is tuesday and here is my TUESDAY TAGGERS DT offering.
Michelle has picked the challenge this week and its a favourite of mine.... MAKE A SCENE.
I love doing this onto an easel type base.... but this time i wanted to get a different 'feel' to it.... i have tried to make it seem as if my lady and her adoring friend are in a dark shaded glade looking out onto a sunlit lake.
I stamped a scene using stampscape stamps and coloured it with ink and watercolours.
I then stamped a tree branch, also from stampscape onto 2 pieces of acetate. I then layered these up ontothe background using foam pads.... so i ended up with 3 layers..... to cover the pads and edges i cut out an arch from black card.
I made an easel type base..... and scored some ridges.... i tore black card and added that to look like the ground.... stamped coloured and cut out lots of rocks and my main image which is from DE-STEMPELWINKEL.

I placed it altogether and made sure it will still fold flatish.... thats a very 'ish' with these scenes...... i am quite please with how the background turned out.... but its a nightmare to photograph..... sorry for the quality of the pics.

I have altered this port-hole clock.... thought it went nicely with the 'hardware' bit of the challenge.
I have coloured the metal rim and inside of the case with alchol inks.... black, green and purple.
The clock face is basic grey paper.... but i have altered the colours on it with ink and stamped onto it as well.

Rio is coloured with water colours as is her wonderful pet bat.I used purple alcohol ink to colour some washers and stuck a few to the clock face, now you've seen what i made you need to go and check out the other hoppers.... these girls are an incredable bunch ....so much talent on this DT... amazing!NOW TO THE LIST OF HOPPERS...

MACABRE MONDAYS on sunday

The challenge this week .....( and it ends in a couple of hours....) at MACABRE MONDAYS is MASKING.
I love masking.... and Barb at MM has noticed! So this challenge had to be done even though i have done virtually nothing else this week... except family stuff.
I used a digi image from TELLENS PLACE..... and an ELLUSIVE IMAGE rubber stamp for the background..... simple to do...... print out digi image twice.... cut one out.... place it over the other.... making sure that they are perfectly in line... ink up the rubber stamp and stamp over the top... remove mask and hey presto you have an image with a background. I coloured my scene with watercolours and ink.... one day this topper might make it to a card base.... but not this week!

TUESDAY TAGGERS ON SUNDAY

Sorry for being so darned late with this DT posting.... it has been a nightmare week where i havent had time for anything, I am sorry Taggers.
Our challenge runs until midnight monday so you do still have a day or so to enter.... and the theme is WEDDINGS.
I didn't want to do a normal type of wedding card .... while i was rummaging through my drawers i found an atc i had made and not swapped.... it was a light-bulb moment.... use it as a topper!!! I layered it up on to gold, black and purple card.... distressed them all and then onto a black card ..... the photo doesnt show how lovely that base card is but believe me its gorgous!
I tattered the vail on my dark bride and rubbed some gold gel stuff around the edges.... and added a love always sentiment. thank you for coming to look and please join us at TUESDAY TAGGERS.... the other DT guys have created the most marvalous selection of wedding projects.... inspiration by the bucket load.
