Catch Up Time!

Ok, It has been a long, long, long, time since I have updated the ol' blog! Here are some fun pics from the last few months. I will hopefully be adding some more  from their birthday.
Picnic at the park in June! Sheesh, it was super hot, but we found some shade under a tree to eat lunch!

Love my little man's morning hair! It is always so crazy!

Bath time! A lot of work, but honestly it is sometimes my favorite time, since I get to spend some one on one time with each of my babies. I used the word time a lot in that last sentence. ha ha

Someone at Drew's work altered the picture. Wild Bill is a crazy Aggie's fan that goes to every single Utah State game. And just so everyone is aware, I am younger than Drew!

Austin's first haircut by mom! If you notice some of the pictures above, his hair was getting super long!

Peek-a-boo!

I love Quinn's "baby legs." They protect her knees from getting too scuffed! I think she is adorable in them!

Austin LOVES books!

Re-organized the furniture so I could see the babies from the Kitchen. Took Drew some getting used to but he finally likes it!

New high chairs!

I set Austin on this blanket that was sprawled out but he grabbed the corner and steam rolled until he was all wrapped up!

Ready for church! What a stud!

Quinn and Austin love to make each other laugh! They also like to have the same toy that the other one has! (not that a hanger is considered a toy) Even when we have two of them! It's going to get really interesting soon I can tell!
Austin has been doing the "army crawl" for a long time now! He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth but still likes to army crawl. Well, Quinn didn't seem interested at all. She was content with sitting next to the toy bucket and playing with each toy while Austin explored the house. Until two weeks ago, Quinn began scooting in the morning and by that afternoon she learned how to crawl! She definitely is the sit back and watch and then try it when she knows she can master it type. It's always been this way. Austin starts something and Quinn observes and then passes him up. But I have to give Austin props for always being the one to start something new! (Take notice of Austin's cute belly sticking out while he reads his book)

Giggles and Funny Faces

Quinn was so excited to see Conference!

Don't ask me how I came up with that sound because I really don't know. I was trying to get them to be happy and I was making funny faces and silly sounds and that one did the trick for Quinn. She just started laughing so I pulled out the camera.  Austin just thought I was weird, but hey, I got one out of out two to laugh.

Story Time (Sorry it is sideways. I had to prop it up and that was the only way it would work but I think you will get the gist of it.)

Both Austin and Quinn love books, but they especially love Where's Spot?  I think they just really like the part when I say "No!"  Just so you know, it is different animals saying "No" in the book so I try to do different voices, so I think that is why they think it is so funny. Don't worry, I am quite aware of how stupid I sound but I will do almost anything for a laugh.

Austin woke up really happy!

Austin is usually laughing, especially if Dad is around. Oh, and did you like Quinn's dance? I did, but  I really liked Drew's singing.

YUMMY YUMMY YUCK!

Do I have something on my face?

At 7 months we started rice cereal. Yum! They really loved it and made quite the mess their first week.

Here are some lessons I learned when feeding Austin and Quinn.

More Please

    1. Always get "nakey" before eating

               2. Patience. They are going to push half
of each bite out with their tongue

There's more, right?

       3. Have a wash cloth ready

      4. Austin and Quinn don't always like to take
turns, so be ready with the next bite quick

Cross Eyed

  5. Quinn will be putting her thumb in her mouth after EVERY bite. Just accept this now.

Feed me Seymore
 6.  Embrace the mess.  It makes for fun pictures and we can do one BIG clean up at the end.

 7. They are probably going to get rice cereal in their diaper. Accept that a diaper change will be happening after.

Hey! Did Quinn get more than me?

8.  Sometimes a wipe down won't do the trick so you might just have to give them a bath right after.

9. Buy plastic bibs!

                           10. And finally, always give the bottle first, or this will happen.....
Such Sad Faces
Squash.  First time trying Veggies! Not sure that Quinn liked it much! Austin ended up finishing hers

Baby Blessings!

What a day! Drew blessed Austin and Quinn on May 5, 2013.
He did an awesome job! I, of course, blubbered through the whole thing!

We were a little worried since it was during their naptime (as you can see Austin is yawning in this picture) But they both did great! Austin kicked his little feet during his entire blessing and Quinn I thought for sure was going to start screaming but she was fine as soon as they started bouncing her.
Love Austin's hat! What a stud muffin!

We had a lot of family come and support us and it was so nice to have them there for this special occasion!

Grandma and Grandpa Johanson (Mom and Dad) made us French Toast back at our house and we had a yummy breakfast! It was a perfect day!

One happy family!
