Photoshoot: Exploring Punggol End

Warm colours......makes one feels warmth
:)

Some photos to share
Before I post them up on DA

Dont know what kind of plant this is
But kinda of fascinating
With the deep red colours blending in well with the sunset
And slight bokeh is good

The lalang works wonders
With the construction works behind
And yes, I aim for the crane lift to lift up the load before shooting this shot
Sun is at 2/3 of the picture
While the sky is being shown as 1/3
Spacing-wise I'm quite satisfied with it

Tried for a more bokeh max shot
Changing lens outside is difficult though
But this was more towards 7pm already
Still, the darker sunset has its own attractiveness too

Wondering whats the diff between shooting portrait and landscape
Turns out landscape has a nicer sunset view
But the flowers in front not so awesome
And its just missing the crane

The first picture I was actually looking for a subject to stand at the side
But duh, solo shoot, no subjects
Damn sian
A girl with an emotional facial feature and emotional gesture would be great
Just totally suit what I want to portray
But oh well, beggars cant be choosers
Decided to crop it out and see what's the diff
And the cropped picture looks........kinda shrink-ed

I like the sky here
Wanted to do like a full-frame kinda shot
But 50mm is not wide-angle
So I cant like sort of capture the street lamps running endlessly
and continuously into the horizon
That's just my idea for this photo
But yes, the sky is really awesome
:)

The sky looks different
1 is slightly more orangey
The other is slightly redder
The first shot was portrait
While the 2nd is tilted and slanted
The 2nd shot if shoot in wide-angle
I feel it would really be better
With more sky, everything more
But still, not complaining

The last 2 shots are something I would like to make my watermark on
Oh well, still cant find the font I want
The cursive that type
White colour
Then frame it with a pin-hole effect

Ok, I'm just lazy to go find it
Procrastination is always the downfall of all good men
:)

------------------------------------------------------

It's been 1 month plus(?) since I met up with the gang
Quite a long time if you put 5 or 6 weeks string together
And yes, Hui Jeen and Eric pointed that out

Only last weekend met up with them for Wei Qin's bday
Timbre @ Old School
And I just found out the damn long stairs up besides the
pretty condo between PS and The Cathay is the way to Old School
Its amazing
Because I really dont know that was it
Hahahaha!

Chillax at this kind of live band area
My type of place
Of course must have the right company
Not too much ppl
Not too spread apart
Healthy mix of guys and girls
(Mano-a-mano would be great too!)
Pizza, some beer or spirits
Good to go

Anyways I think the reason for not meeting up that often
Yes, may be due to all the 21st bday celebrations
Not that I planned for it
Even my Dad, Mom and Bro asked me every weekend
"Eh, tonight going bday celebration again ah?"

They will be surprised if I say no
And a lot of them we give big presents nowadays
And I mean red packet is big
Really B-I-G!!!

NSFs hard to get by
Even as PS, yes even as PS, you read that correctly
=/

I think there is a hiatus of.....2 weeks till the next
21st bday celebration in October?
Even I have to celebrate my Bro's bday on a Friday....
October I think not much celebrations
Plus Nov and Dec......
Phew, then I will get through 2010
Then throw a bday chalet in 2011
Get a lot of presents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ok, just joking, 22nd nth to celebrate
Except that I got a baby or something.....
=.=

Oh well, that's life recently
Starcraft II, 21st bday celebrations, reading newspaper
BPL weekend, trying to learn how to use Windows 7 Ultimate
Publishing on DA and checking out places of interest in Japan
Hard work there for the last point

Check out these 2 vids
First 1 followed by the 2nd

Virgin-al Experience

Everyone has his or her's first time

Be it sex, BGR, alcohol, drugs, driving, flying etc

I think rating-wise

I will give it a 3.5 stars out of 5

Not bad for a "breaking the virgin" experience

But

As usual

Everything can be better

But who am I to complain?

:)

AHM 2010: Aftermath

One of the winning numbers for 4D on Sunday 12th Sep 2010 is...........
*drum rolls*

6567

Got scolded by my mom for that
Like totally.........not my business?
LOL!
Thought at least got win something sia!
But it was not meant to be
=p

One of the high tech stuff introduced nowadays I heard
The chip that is tied to the shoelace
Heard Stand Chard Sundown all got use all these long time ago?
Hahaha!

The finisher medal!

Oh well, now at least I know I have completed a half-marathon!
:)

Realised it was quite good-looking for goodness sake

Coming in at 2h23min
BAD TIMING!

Was really disappointed with myself
But like I say, it was not meant to be

Cant sleep at 8+pm on a SATURADAY!!!!!
IN CAMP!!!!
WITH MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYING EVERTON AT 745PM!!!!

Not enough sleep
No 7hours of uninterrupted rest
Woke up at 1am
Saw Sarah's text that United let slip a 3-1 advantage
Horrors!
Cant go back to sleep
Woke up at 3+ to get ready to move off to Padang

Oh well, the only thing I did right before race day was......

CARBO-LOADING 1X
1 FOOT LONG SUBWAY MELT!

Managed to stay full throughout the race
Didnt feel hungry like the last 16km run
Was like going to go eat grass somewhere along the running route
=/

Aftermath of the AHM
(cut too much skin off, too happy to see the fluid flow out)

Had a freaking blister on the smallest toe at 16km mark?
Don't know if it is the shoes or what
Didnt have this problem during the 16km run the other time

Started the race well at Fullerton there
Feels damn refreshing to run in the CBD at 5+am in the morning
It was cool and dark
Had a pacer in the form of Ying Zheng
Really had the good feeling

And then.......we hit the bridge at MBS
It was the first mini-killer
Up-slope for 500m or so?

Then I decided to skip the water point before entering ECP
Big mistake..........!
ECP 3km no water
Hit the 8km mark and was really thirsty
Exit ECP and had stitches coming in
Press my sides for 2km and hang on till the Engineers' water point
till we exit Ford Road and hit East Coast Park
Relieve and happy that it was my own Formation
And managed to get rid of the stitches after that
U-turn at East Coast Park and saw some ppl already having cramps
Decided to skip the water point and went up Nicoll Highway
Big mistake..........AGAIN!
No water point again.............
Plus up-slope for 500m again........

Making 2 similar mistakes in a race was like..........committing suicide
=/

Finally saw the National Stadium at 7am like tat
Phew!
The 19km was the killer
Started to walk in the F1 pit
(never walk there before what!)
Told Ying Zheng to finish off the remaining 2km
The blister on the toe was killing me
Needed the pretty Salonpas girl for help!
LOL!
(ok, real men dont need Salonpas spray!)

Hit the 20km and there was this Guardsmen
"Anyone wanna fall out now?"

My mind was like..........
"Motherf****** hell, fall out now I go jump Spore river!"

Thought it was the finishing line in front
Dash and realised..............500m MORE to go
So screwed!

And the last 500m......
Every 50m there was a signage
Plus twist and turn here and there
It was torturing to say the least
All the Commando and NDU ppl were dashing in from 360 degrees
Madness FTW!
But once I see the FINISH word and the clock ticking down
It was pure motivation already
:)

Not bad lah!
143mins for 21km
1km is 6.8mins or 6min48s
If dont have blister, should be slight faster
Maybe can hit my target of 2h15mins
But oh well, under 2h30 also within my ideal range

Not bad for a 1st experience
Saw many familiar faces along the race
And plenty plenty plenty, I mean plenty of pretty girls running too
(and i mean really pretty without makeup-but-sporty-healthy that type)
All so fit, some even running faster than a lot of guys
Impressed!
So looking forward to the Nike 10km fun race
But till now, to grow back my toe's skin
:)

Race Day Sunday

Celebrated Shang Geok's 21st bday last week @ Hotel Re!
(nice group photo, perfect lighting)

Finally.............the VERY FIRST hotel celebration I have this year!
Anymore chalet/bbq I think I might just give it a miss
=/

Anyways, it was the usual crazy laughing session with them
From this picture there was already a crazy debate on the bday girl
Melissa took a look at the photo and says....
"Aiyo, later ppl think I am the bday girl leh!"

We were like -________________-
And Shang Geok goes "WAH LAOOOOOOOO!"
And all hell breaks loose from there
LOL!
Don't know why they always can have this kind of comments
Damn funny!

Took the same lift as Shang Geok's pretty friends
:)

Saw them holding this present for Geokster
"Creative" is the best word I can come up with

Money in the balloon which was filled with helium gas
Plus 4 sort of pod-like balloons at the bottom
Makes it seems like some sort of space shuttle or sort
Good stuff there!

Yes, poly friends are always the good bunch of ppl to hang out with
Still rmb my 21st bday celebration with them
The overkill vehicle convoy
We will ALWAYS talk about it until we die
Luckily.......there was still 1 car this time
Phew!
Cant imagine taking cab
*wipes cold sweat away from palm*

Anw, I think 大姐's haircut is slick!
*Like It*

Plus her camera
The artsy-fartsy effect
Waiting for her to send me the photos
Especially the pin-hole effect and the B&W
Awesome printing material
:)

Overall thought this party was more on the UPS side
I think definitely depends on the company of the party peeps
If they are more relaxed and open
More importantly, know how to laugh at themselves and crack silly jokes
It will already be a successful party with lots of joy and laughter
*thumbs up*

Did the craziest thing this month!
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
It's so addictive I cant stop till I drop
Don't believe?
Ask my mom
=/

Anyways, its like the........ONLY original game I have bought before
Shows you just so much that I'm not a gaming person
NOT!

PS3 pricing is $488 with 1 controller now
Very seductive!
*Licks*

Anyways
Need to control a bit
Hahahahaha!
Because...........SUNDAY IS RACE DAY!
=D

21km under 2h45mins
Plus 1st 3km of squeezing with a lot of Tom, Dick and Harry
Should be just nice for us to finish the whole race
After that, will be Nike Human Race SG vs KL in end Oct
10k for a build-up
(actually go there see MM only!)
And then Stand Chart Full Marathon in December
Maybe pop in the New Balance Trail Run somewhere in the middle
Looks set for a good finish to 2010
Provided I dont get injured along the way

Hotel motel

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
