And today is the last day of this very last year of the last decade

Every year at this moment in time
I always take some time out to review how's my year
And that's what this blog has been used for
Well, I think before I break down my year of 2010
I would like to take this time to do my own self-assessment
2010
I feel that I have changed a lot
In my thinking that is
If appearance change must be become more handsome only lo
Hahaha!
I think that this year
I have become mentally, emotionally, physically and financially more tougher
More independent in a lot of sense
Mentally, my mindset has changed
This is 1 year which I'm not so into the talk-a-lot pattern
I would rather let other ppl talk
Maybe because partially I feel that last time I will be slightly more aggressive
And push my point across to others
This year, I think I'm that one who let others talk more
Since we cant all have the same thinking and tune to the same frequency
Why force any issues?
But this doesnt translate to me not able to communicate with others
I find that this year my ability to make small talks have improved by
leaps and bounds!
Small talks are actually very important I realised
To get a conversation going, to get someone to relax, and more importantly,
to get closer to the someone you are talking with
And isnt that what social interaction is all about?
Emotionally, I have become slightly more active?
In a sense I'm able to relate to more stuff
Get feelings that I should have
Like happy, angry, sad, love, filial piety and stuff
And add to the sense of touch
Brings us to another level itself
Appropriately that is
Friends have become more important
I see the need to keep in contact with close friends
Maybe just some sms here and there would do good too
Facebook is so not for me to do all these
I think this year I'm more of a filial son than other years
Maybe its because my mom hasnt been in the best of pink-est health state
I feel the need to learn to be a good son
To learn how to do all the housework
From cleaning the windows, to the spider-webs, to sweeping/mopping floor
To ironing, washing clothes, doing dishes and even cooking itself
All in all, there is this undeniable fact that I fear for my parents' health
Whereby they will go and leave me and my brother on our own
And yes that day will come
But probably let me be more prepared in a sense?
I guess thats why I felt a sense of awesome-ness when I managed to fulfill
my Mom's "18-year-old-teenage-girl-dream" of visiting Taiwan
:)
Physically I have become tougher
Yes, the weights I used to carry in the gym were heavier
Now after 1 year in NS, I felt like a noob going to the gym
But hey, getting back to previous good 'ol days lately
Been hitting the gym during the weekends
And waking up to go for longer runs
Partly due to the fact that I'm looking forward to races I guess?
I still set my alarm clock during the weekends to wake up early
Have a small breakfast
Don my shades and get ready to go for long runs
10k, 20k?
Done it at 7plus am during the Saturdays and Sundays
The men under me also is a sense of responsibility for me
To keep in shape to go all out to train together with them
Because the only difference between us is rank
And other than that, I think it's only right for us to do everything together
Thus, I have this urge to just go for additional training
And seeing them progress while training together is a huge satisfaction
Something that I think, is priceless for individuals
Oh ya, managed to push my limits this year too
Did a half-marathon, kept my 10k timing to 50+ mins
And even did a full marathon in December
Gonna hit 20 chin-ups soon?
Hahaha!
Happy about that too

Financially, after passing out as a Specialist
Yes, definitely life is better
Getting promoted to 2SG is a bonus
Nearing Officer pay is a good thing!
:)
But anyways, this year I have attended too much 21st bday party
And I think everytime contributing $30 per party will kill me
And it has
=/
This year SG's GDP was good
My very own GDP was great too
NS is really the time to save up
For rainy days and further education
I managed to get my DSLR
Get a new 50mm prime lens
Bought a new PC
Go for a short trip to Hong Kong
Have a small 21st bday celebrations and stuff
Didnt buy much new clothings though
Hahaha!
Maybe that's why the money never flow down the drain
Oh well, predicted 2011 is gonna be financially tough
Getting a new laptop
Going to Japan
Starting school
Getting a motorbike
And ORD-ing without any more monthly allowance
Yes, that will be bad
2010 is also the year of many "first-times"
Yes, clubbing is included

April was a chillax month
Went back to XMS for Homecoming

And yes, it was such an eye-opener
Went out to Marina Barrage and Helix to shoot too

And I end off 2010 by visiting a gym in town
Pure Fitness to be exact
Because we have free entry after completing SCMS
And Pure Fitness is atas to the max
Feels great to be looking down at Orchard Road while working out
People-watching is a great activity
Seeing people trip and lose their slippers on Orchard Road

And I measured my body fat percentage at Pure too!
10% body fat
Weighing in at 72.6kg
With 7kg body fat
17.5kg of lean muscle mass
A difference of 10kg
Puts me in the optimal range of Singaporean
Minus off 3 more percent and I can see my 6-pecs
