1st day of CNY

So 大年初一 where was I?

A long night from 除夕
And luckily no prank calls early in the morning
Phew

And this year started on 1st day of the CNY
by not going to visit any relatives but by going to....

And off we go!

And then to Yishun dam

We were not interested in watching boring TV show
Thus we decided to go do some driving

My cousin is going out to earn Ang Bao through lion-dance
So he has this Nissan Cabstar lorry to drive his ppl around
And I has the chance to go test drive a lorry for once!

Going to find the lorry in the dark

The first impression I got when I enter the lorry
is that its quite high to get up on
And its quite dark
Cannot see the pedals and stuff


Difficulty in getting up onto the driver seat

It's a good start as I found the light switch
Took a few mins more to find the pedals and the handbrake
The handbrake is damn cool
Just a twist and it will go down liao

And 1st try can feel the biting point already
Damn zai~
Haha!

And my cousin told me that lorry only start off in 2nd gear
as I was about to move off in 1st gear
2nd gear felt like 1st gear of a manual car
Shiok!


Getting accustomed to driving the lorry

After driving out of Yio Chu Kang to Ang Mo Kio
It felt damn good
With rolling dwon the windows and feeling like a 老 Ah Pek

The lorry is very powerful
Shift into 3rd gear and 4th gear and all the other
cars all would move out of lorry's way
And it was only 50-60 km/h and it felt
like travelling like 80-90km/h
Wootz!

The best part gotta be doing a U-turn
The lorry's steering wheel machiam like
play Daytona like tat
Except that its bigger and can turn for more rounds
Like bus driver
Felt great doing the U-turn!

Still amazed by the lorry

So went to pump air at the petrol station and found out
that the air pump is spoilt
Moved to other petrol station and there's plenty of ppl there
Lorry very hard to move around

But overall a good experience
Went back to gamble and....
lost 1 day of pay + OT
