new office

besides busy with the wedding prep and all, i'm also busy packing my stuff in the office as our company is moving to a new office this september. so bye bye damansara heights, and hello mont kiara!

i think bila pindah sana nanti sumpah broke. well, the new office is at the office tower 1 Mont Kiara. bawah shopping mall, depan Plaza Mont Kiara, and the other shops along the road semua pun yang mahal2. i think lunch je dah confirm habis berpuluh2 ringgit. the traffic is bad. and many upcoming temptations like starbucks, chatime, sushi zanmai, tony roma's, baskin robin and the list go on as long as it can go!

season parking is 200 plus a month. urghhhhhhhhhh banyak nya nak pakai duit! i hate this place! i love damansara heights! traffic free, cheap parking and many choices of cheap food around there.

Fun 'working' day

i didnt apply leaves for raya this year. i just decided to ponteng on wednesday, but i came to work yesterday and today. there's nothing to do at all because all of our clients are on leave for the whole week.

so, guess what we did on wednesday?

we went to the zoo ok.. the zoo! hahahahahahaha. 5 of us - my associate account director, manager, myself, and my 2 other collagues. muat2 satu kereta. masuk office at 10, after breakfast dah cabut. hahaha. 

i cannot believe how bad the zoo is now. seriously. it shouldnt be called the National Zoo. it should just be called Selangor Zoo or something like that. the ticket is so freaking expensive - MyKad rates  for public is RM25 for all access and RM20 for access excluding butterfly/insects farm. duh? we all thought the ticket is only less than 10 bucks! then bila dah sampai sana takkan nak patah balik damansara kan? so we just buy the tickets and put up a very very high expectation on the zoo whether it's worth our money or not.

it's not. sangat sangat lahhh teruk. seriously. the zoo is not well-maintained (except for the malayan tiger cage ONLY). the rest... i dont know how to describe it. rumput2 semua botak and kering, the animals semua looking very unhealthy and macam ada disease or something. A LOT of the animals there are alone of their species. how can u do that? kalau u nak display these animals macam tu, kena la ada at least a partner.. right? sad sangat sangat la when we look at the animals yang alone2 tu. NONE of the animals are running around or jumping or making noise at all. NONE. they looked bored, hungry and rather die than stay in there.

i am not being overdramatic nor i'm trying to sound like i am suddenly into animals. but u will believe me when u see it for urself. go to the zoo. see how pathetic their lives are there. they should just shut down the zoo. thank GOD the gov didnt go on with bringing the china panda to malaysia's zoo. might as well use that millions of money to upgrade the zoo right?

anyway, back to me and my gang's strory. we went there and made fun of basically everything there. kitorang habis tour within 1 hour je. serious takde benda dalam zoo ni. but we had fun (not because of the lame attraction, but because we are just fun like that... haha, poser).

then i brought them to my fav ipoh hometown yong tau foo in ampang. makan macam orang gila padahal semua badan dah bau zoo. and thennnnnnnnnnnn

i had to drag them all to concorde kl. because i made appointment with the mktg person there to TALK ABOUT MY WEDDING! yes, i am having my wedding there and paid the deposit alreadayhhhhhhhhh. omg it is so happening. gila ah.

Selamat Hari Raya!

how's raya this year? ok laaaa.. as usual my family kalau tak drama tak sah kan. i'm still broke macam raya2 before this. im starting to hate raya and it's angpau tradition already. who the hell started this in the first place mannnn? it should be the married ones to be giving out duit raya and not the single, going-to-marry-soon and broke like me!

anyway this year, we welcomed a new family member to celebrate raya for the first time with us. no, nobody gave birth in my family... it's my brother's wife cum sister in law. 

raya eve as usual, we all went to rumah maktok. oh oh, H joined us too! haha. lepas buka dia kena sembahyang jemaah dengan my uncles and aunties (tak boleh lari ha ha). well, not just him... but all the boys in the family. the ladies like me and my cousins all went out jalan2 hisap rokok meanwhile waiting for them to finish praying. and up until now i still wonder kenapa nobody... NOBODY ever asked the girls to sembahyang jemaah together. it's like a given already yang perempuan2 ni semua takyah sembahyang, korang duduk la kat luar rumah jaga budak2. weird.

after maktok's house, we went to paksu's house in Au2 as the boys have their takbir raya tradition from house to house along with my other cousins on dad's side. sadly, as year goes by, makin lama makin sikit people join the takbir raya. it used to be so much fun (according to them la because i never joined them) and they walked in a big big crowd. they said yang tua2 banyak dah meninggal, so anak2 and cucu2 diorang tak sambung the takbir. 

first day raya we all went to maktok's again, then off to daddy's relatives house til late evening. H kerja pagi raya and only finished at 4pm. awwwww kesiannnn diaaaaa. kerja rajin2 cari nafkah untuk i ok? lol. cannot go. when he's back from work, we met up at my house and then i joined him to his maktok's house in ttdi pulak. belum pun kawin lagi dah kena paksa go to all these family thing together. i feel old and lame and tak cool. hahahahaha.

Jungle Retreat

i really wanttttt to go to this place so bad but it's always fully booked! i checked their website and it's already been booked throughout the year. whaddehellllllll!!!

people always look for beaches when they want to get away from the city. i found a better option - in a jungle. place is called Awanmulan in Negeri Sembilan. it looks soooo peaceful, the right place for a retreat.

gotta plan this properly so we can have a group trip there. hmph.
