Hello Again! Year Two, please pass by slowly...

After a year, I finally returned to write this blog.
My previous blog is during my foundation year and I am now in my second year.
Wow, time really flies~

So, I honestly do not remember anything about my first year except for assignments and exams. All the long hours I stay awake just to finish my assignments. Other than that, nothing really.
Oh, I remember being very annoyed at TITAS. It is a compulsory subject that we need to take even though we already taken Malaysian Studies. I mean, seriously?!!! Come on, I am not that free.
Anyway, I passed. Hahaha. One down, three more to go.

Yeah, that's all.

Before my second year semester start, I had a field trip to Tioman Island. This is a field coursework that we have to take as it is a core module. To sum up my trip, it is fun but exhausting. VERY tiring. We went for hiking, snorkeling, and some other forest stuffs. We literally need to hike up a mountain just to reach the Tioman Melina Resort.

The most "not fun" part of the trip in my opinion was actually snorkeling. I mean, everyone in my class think snorkeling is the best but for me, noooo. Well, it is interesting to see all the coral reefs and the fish under the sea, but it is not for a person who wears specs with 900++ power like me. I mean, what am I supposed to see?! All I see is blurry stuff. We actually need to do a kind of survey in the sea. For example, count how many different species of fish and coral. How to count when I can't even see? And we need to swim along a line and take pictures every few minutes and so. You know, there is this teacher that ask me to swim along a line to a boat far away because we need to swim along a straight line. I was like "WHAT BOAT? There is a BOAT?!" I can't see!! How many times do I need to repeat myself? My friends ask me to wear contacts, or buy snorkeling mask with powered lenses. First of all, contact lens will hurt my eyes when sea water goes into them. And to make a snorkeling mask with power lens is very expensive, sooo...
SIGH... The perks of being a four-eyed.

Other than that, it was enjoyable!! Especially seeing the baby turtles swim towards the ocean. So cuteeeeee. =D Although some of them didn't make it, we managed to save 77 turtles!! It is a huge achievement! And I love how all of my course mates were bonding on the beach at night with the company of the stars in the sky. That was the last day of the whole Tioman trip and One of the Best day of my life~

Coming back by bus was an adventure itself. We took the ferry at 2.30pm and reach main land around 4pm. Then supposedly take the bus and reach uni about 10pm. But the bus driver's eyes was swollen because sand flew into his eyes. So he cannot see the road, and there is no second bus driver. So we waited for him to see the doctor and he took antibiotic which lead to dizziness. Then he became sick. So we had to call for another bus and bus driver to come and fetch us back to campus. I actually feel sorry for him lah, it is not like he can control it. By the time we reach campus, it is already 1am. Not how I planned to celebrate the first hour of my birthday. I actually sort of forgot about it until Mandy and my sister texted me at exactly 12am. Then, my course mates sang "Happy Birthday" for me in front of the bus stop. SHOCK!!! I was so tired but that kind of made up for it. Hahaha, it was so loud! I was looking out for people to come and scold us. Then we said goodbye to Vivienne, Carmen, Spring and Jia Min as they are flying off to UK. Have a Safe trip guys!! Oh, I am going to miss them so much. =)

Now first week of my second year, stress level rises!! In the first week only, the lecturers are making me stress. READ, READ, READ!! Need to read more to know more to write more! I can't read scientific books or papers of 600 pages!!! Really?! I would probably doze off before I even started. I have 3 100% exam modules this semester, so must read a lot, unfortunately. Now there is only 8 people in my class, including me. Getting lesser and lesser. Rumour has it that there will be exchange students coming. Can't wait! As of now, the class feels different without them =( Just have to get used to it...

Now assignments are piling up and there would be presentations and stuff. SIGH... Back to normal routine... But only 2 more years and I will graduate! Exactly 18 months.
Yesterday someone asked me what year I am now, and I actually need to think before I answer. I was like, yearrrrrrr 2. No, I am so old...

I am still not ready to graduate. time please fly slower...

Anyway, that's the end. Till next time!!! :D
