Viva La Verve! Feb Challenge - Week 3

I love trying out new techniques or tutorials on Splitcoaststampers.  I've been wanting to try this one called "Free Standing Pop-up Card".  Check out Mary Jo's tutorial here

I think the stamp set "twitterpated" is so adorable.  The little girl is so stinking cute..I just love her big head! I paper pieced her bow and top using the same paper collection.
I added the poppies to the top of the stand to give it some weight.  The flourish is from MFT and the leaves were used to fill in the gaps.
supplies~
pp: Poppy {sei}
stamps: twitterpated, hello {from Verve}
ink: brushed corduroy distress
dies: leaf {MS}; standard circle {Spellbinder}; leafy flourish {MFT}; charming oval {Verve}
misc: red poppy flowers {Wild Orchid Crafts}; ribbon; half back pearls{ebay}

Viva La Verve! Feb Challenge - Week 2

I placed a small order with Verve recently and wanted to use one of the stamps for this week's sketch.  I love all their stamps and dies...if I had it my way I would buy them all at once! lol
One of my favorite tool is the corner chomper from We R Memory Keepers...I have it on my desk at all times. haha
On this card, I used the 1/4" corner to the side of the card and the top corners of the layered paper.  Speaking of paper, I decided to dig through my open paper stash and found these.  I bought them at Michael's awhile back.  One of my favorite color combo is pink and black.  I inked all the papers with distress ink.
supplies~
pp: girlfriends - flourish dot, kaleidoscope, paisley{all from TPC Studio}
stamp: birthday phrases {Verve}
ink: black soot distress
die: charming banner {Verve}
misc: black baker's twine, charm, nylon butterfly, black rhinestones, flower {I Am Roses}

Viva La Verve! Feb Challenge - Week 1

I can't get enough of Verve stamps....here is this week's card using their sketch:
The fabric flowers went perfectly with this paper collection...it was the exact same shade!  And I love these babies breath flowers.  Another CAS card this week.
I inked the banner with tattered rose and wrapped it around the stems and tied the twine through to secure it.  This paper collection is an older one from g.c.d.  I had bought this awhile back when it went on clearance at Michael's.

supplies~
pp: cloisonné {g.c.d}
cs: gray, vintage pink{Bazzill}; white{American Crafts}
stamp: heartfelt phrases {Verve}
dies: lacey circles, standard large circles {Spellbinders}
misc: babies breath flowers {Wild Orchid Crafts}; pink baker's twine
