Tamiko's Thursday Teaser - Bling, Brads, and Buttons Assignment!

Happy Thursday Tamiko fans!  Yes, it is Tamiko's Thursday Teasers.  Before I begin, did y'all create something for the on-going challenge?  Click {HERE} for the details --- the challenge ends September 30th, today, and the winner wins a Sweet Anya stamp for FREE!  :)

Ok, the CT's assignment for this week was to create a card using BLING, BRADS, & BUTTONS!  That's ALL 3 items on one card!  Boy, oh boy . . . I didn't think I could possibly add all 3 but had a light bulb moment.  Here's what I came up with:

I used Creeper Thursday.  Her kitty cat hat had button eyes so I added 2 real buttons there.  One down . . .  2 more to go!  Then I thought that I could add a square brad to her belt buckle.  That's two down . . . 1 to go!  Lastly, I just added brown gem blings to the centers of the flowers . . . ALL 3 items taken care of!  I did it!

I just got my Labels 14 nesties and had to try them out.   It's been such a long time since I've entered in any challenges and thought I'd submit this one.  This card was based on a sketch challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's Sketch 62.   The challenge is to use a decorative edge on your card.

Did Someone Say Treat?

Hey there!  I'm checking in with another card made with the new La-La Land Crafts Halloween Release.  Meet Pumpkin Marci.  I just adore this image and her pumpkin costume is so darn cute don't you think? 

I cut a window on the card using my Nestabilities and then framed the window.

A closer look . . . I colored Pumpkin Marci's lollipop with my copics to match the lollipop on the DP.

Tamiko's Thursday Teasers - Nestabilities Assignment

Happy Thursday everyone!  The Tamiko's Creative Team have more to share with you . . . this week's assignment is to create a card using our Nestibilities.  I don't know about you, but I just luv my nesties.  I can't get enough of them and the possibilities are endless.  Plus, Spellbinders keeps coming out with new designs . . . I just want them all!  :)  Need the moolah first!  Anyway, I went with my trusted Circle and Scalloped nesties for this project.  Since Halloween is just around the corner, I thought I'd use the TGF Spooktacular set. 

Basically, frames were cut out using the nesties and then I just added 3 out of the Halloween images in the frames.  The webs were created using the Martha Stewart corner punch & the border punch as well.

La La Land Crafts Halloween Release Blog Hop!

Aye there La-La fans!  :)  You have been seeing the latest in the Marci line and aren't they just adorable?  Well, I'm here to share with you Pirate Luka!  He was one of the very first digis to be offered here at La La Land Crafts some weeks ago, but has since been in hiding awaiting his debut.  You can get him in RUBBER right this instant at the Online Store along with Witch Marci and Pumpkin Marci!  Not only that, we've decided to also release our Superheroes and Tuffy too! 

I've made a Criss Cross card using Pirate Luka. 

When you pull the skull tab at the top, the insert comes right out.  I've embossed the top, black cardstock with my QuicKuts Diamond embossing folder.

Here's a closer look . . . I typed out the sentiment on the computer saying, "It's Yarr Birthday!"

I tried my hand at ruffling ribbon.  I had sewn a straight stitch through the middle of the satin ribbon and pulled the thread to create the ruffles.  I think it came out okay, but I still need to practice.

Tamiko's Thursday Teasers - Altered Image Challenge with a PRIZE!

Hey Tamiko's fans!  Today we have a CHALLENGE for you!  You've been seeing the CT members create up a storm, but now it's your turn to join in on the challenge.  The challenge is:

~ to make an ALTERED 3-D project or a card using any TGF image(s).  You can alter 2 TGF images swaping the head and body or alter the eyes or hair on the image.  Anything goes as long as you change something! 

This is my ALTERED image . . .  I used WS Edward's head and the body of the boy in the Sweet & Toxic set.  

And this is my 3-D project . . . it's a simple box to hold some Bath & Body Works lotion.  It easily fits 2 of them inside the box.

Dreams Really Do Come True!

Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday!  Today I'm sharing with you Sweet Dreams Marci.   She is such a sweetheart!

I just had to paper piece her nightgown . . . the DP had swirls and stars on it, I just couldn't resist!  It totally matched the background paper I used.  The sentiment was typed on my computer and thought it was perfect for the card.

Tamiko's Thursday Teasers - Sketch Challenge!
