4th of July

We had a pretty low key 4th. A lot of neighbors were out of town, and it was so hot. we decided to lay low and just go out to eat for the 4th. I know it's so un american(not sure that's even a word) to not have a BBQ. The heat just wiped us out from when my whole family was here. Amy's family was still in town. After dinner we just came back here and did some fireworks. It was a nice low key day. Love the 4th!

The kids and I made their shirts. I found the idea on Pinterest. They turned out so cute.

I was a good mom and made Sammy's hair into a star. Go me!
 And did her nails

Lucy exploded in her outfit and luckily I had another 4th of july outfit. Having a girl is so much fun!

Zockoll Family Reunion

It's been a while since the whole Zockoll Family has been together. It makes it harder when people start moving to other states. Because of work, school, and funds we just decided to have it here in Vegas. Who the crap had that idea? It turned out to be the hottest June we have ever had. Like 117 degrees hot. It was pretty miserable, but we had fun anyway. We rented a cabana at a hotel nearby. It was so fun. They had a slide, kiddie pool, and our cabana had misters. That was perfect for the little babies.
Lucy and Sawyer meeting for the first time. Sawyer is exactly a week older than Lucy.

We also got together at the church for dinner and some Minute to Win it games. It turned out to be a lot of fun.

Then of course on the hottest day ever, we had a photographer take pictures of the whole clan. Holy hell it was hot. We ended up moving the pictures inside because the kids were miserable.

It was fun seeing all the cousins interact. Nick and Sammy had a lot of fun playing the older cousin role. They felt pretty important.

One night after all the kids went to bed we had all siblings and their spouses over for games. We had a blast. It was nice not having to deal with kids and being able to be kids ourselves.

My family may not be like others who are super close, but I am very grateful for them. I love them all and wouldn't want any other sibling. And of course they wouldn't want anyone else as their sister.;)Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend.
