I have finished my LO's for Scrapbook apprentice challenge four. I loved the papers and embellishments for this one but the LO's seem to have taken forever and I am still not that pleased with them. I think it was a case of too many ideas but couldn't get anything right on paper! Voting is still going on for challenge three so pop over and take a look at all the entrys, use the link on the right.

I thought I would take part in the Scrap like you mean it challenge posted by Shimelle Laine over on UKS. I am already 2 weeks behind but have been noting down the challenges in the hope I can play catch up! Here are my first four LO's.

Week one: Scrap in your favorite colour. My fav colours are purple and green. The photo is of Willow, taken by Paige. I cant remember what the purple paper is but the green spotty paper is from PM spring burst range. I used my making memories slice for the title and the swirl, stamps away stamp for the photo info and a free stamp from a magazine for the crown, Anitas ribbon and some primas and buttons. I added Willows first collar to the page as this was purple and i wanted to keep it.

Week two: Use hearts or stars. This challenge was put up on the 1st anniversary of my Grandads death. There was a small annoucement in our local paper in the in memory section that i wanted to keep so i decided to do this page. The newspaper clipping is the pull out tag behind the journalling tag (K&Co). I used PM Nostalia papers from an album kit i had. I covered a chipboard swirl and heart with the papers and sanded them and inked the edges and a chipboard letter from the kit and some brown letter stickers from another kit. There is only one heart on the page as i wanted to keep it quite simple as i feel the photo and journalling say it all.

Week three: Scrap with chipboard. This is my family playing Rock band on New Years eve. The papers are from my trusty Costco pack. The chipboard stars are Rock Star chipboard accents by Rusty Pickle. I covered the stars in the paper and inked the edges. The title is doddlebug rubons and American Thickers. I also added some PM red gems for a little bling.

Week four:Scrap from the sketch. I have changed from the sketch slightly here! The photos are from a trip to London that my Dad and me took Caleb on for his 9th birthday. The papers are Kaisercraft Skull Boi collection, the title and circle tag were made on my MM Slice. The small circle journal tag is MM and the other circle stamp is stamps away. Cant remember where i got the skull ribbon from.

I took Willow for her first walk on the beach today. She was not sure at first and seemed to be eating the sand, and then it took us almost 40 minutes to walk along the beach to Puckpool park as she had to stop at everyone she met so that they could fuss her! She is such a little tart!!!

At Puckpool we took her into the tennis courts so she could come off her lead and we could practise her coming back to me! It was quite scary to let her off the lead for the first time but she was closed in so i tried not to panic too much! She came to me every time i called her so I was very impressed by that, dont know if im willing to try it out in the open yet though!

It snowed here on tuesday, really snowed, not just the usual light dusting we get once in a blue moon. The kids schools were shut and the last time that any school on the island had a snow day was back when I was at middle school! So me and my sister got the kids and the puppy all bundled up and went out to play. The kids had a great time being pulled along on their body board and we built a giant snowman in the rec. I cant say the puppy was as keen on the snow but that might be due to the fact that we had put a babys dressing gown on her to try and keep her warm in the snow! She was not amused by that! We played out untill we were so cold we had to come in, stopping at the shop to buy soup and hot chocolate to warm us up! What a perfect day!
