Keys, footprints, both ingredients of a good murder mystery, but alas, they are only the themes for this week's challenges, I haven't started writing thrillers. Yet.
FOOTPRINT was the key word ( oh, good grief, KEY word, lol ) for this week's Every Inchie Monday challenge. I was probably still traumatised by all the snow we have had recently, because the first thing which sprang to mind was an animal footprint in the snow. A scrap of fluffed up woollen quilt batting, sparkled up with white German Glass glitter, and a teeny footprint pressed into it to make it look a little more realistic -
And over at the Tag Tuesday blog we have arrived at the letter K. Instead of a vintage image, I used a very vintage real KEY for the K tag. I wanted to keep to metal/rusty colours for the tag. I used three different Distress Stains for the background and sprayed a little Glimmer Mist over it. Added a few cut out key silhouettes, a bit of distressed lace and a little scroll in rust coloured ink -
I had a lot of grandbaby cuddles over the last few days, it was just wonderful. I took a few photos inbetween cuddles, and this one is my favourite at the moment -
Now tomorrow, you had better sit down with a cup of tea or coffee before you start reading tomorrow's post, because it is going to be long. Loooooooooooong. It has to be, so that you can properly appreciate the beautiful gifts I received a few days ago. I am still smiling.
So, until tomorrow, toodlepip xxx

A couple of Whites found at the jumble sale
I went to a jumble sale a couple of weeks ago and found just a few little white treasures. And as it is Blissful Whites Wednesday today, I might as well show them to you.
White ironstone big bellied jug, love that shape -
I have a very eclectic collection of open vegetable bowls, which I love to use, and this bowl with its beautiful rose design is a lovely addition to the collection -
I also have a much loved collection of antique jelly moulds so I was delighted to find another one -
This two handled bowl for floral displays is just gorgeous and will look great in the summer filled with white roses -
These French cafe au lait bowls are not from the jumble sale, I bought them in France last summer, but they were kinda hanging around and shouting, me too, me too, me too, so I photographed them as well -
You can find more beautiful Whites over at the TIMEWASHED blog.
Happy White Wednesday to you! Toodlepip xxx

Hurrah, Spring has arrived
Or has it? Well, last week we had one day of lovely sunshine and temperatures in double figures. And I was so happy to see that Spring had finally arrived. Then it got cold and grey again. Spring finally departed again completely, and Winter returned, gleefully dumping inches of snow and blowing gale force winds. Yep, we are snowed in, can't get out of our road, lol, because we are in a dip and whichever way we go, we have to go uphill. And thats a big no no at the moment.
This was our garden this morning -
But at least I had time to get this week''s challenges in on time. The Every Inchie Monday challenge for this week was GLASSES -
And over at the Tag Tuesday blog we have arrived at the letter J. I chose a vintage image of a JESTER for the tag, along with a few images of a Victorian cat with a jester's hat, which I just couldn't resist. And of course I wanted to finish the bottom of the tag with some dangly bits. Didn't have anything jester related though, so I printed an image of a jester's charm and used that -
Fingers crosssed that we can get out of our road tomorrow.

A little customer love
I count myself really lucky to have some wonderful customers. It always puts a huge smile on my face when I get a lovely email or really nice feedback from a person. So I try and always put a little extra in with the order, even it is only a handmade tag for them to use. Friday and Saturday I had a couple of tag sessions, and here are the results, a bunch of tags ready to go with Etsy orders. Actually, a couple of them have already gone out -
It was a very pleasurable way to spend a few hours here and there.
I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful Sunday, especially the UK girls, as it is Mothers' Day here in the UK today! And the two sons who live locally are taking us out for a Thai dinner tonight, woohoo! I hope my darling middle son doesn't feel left out, but he doesn't live close by and with a new baby girl and a 4 year old, they need to have their own Mothers Day celebrations. I love my boys, they are the best. There, a mum is allowed to say that once in a while, lol, even though they would probably be horribly embarrassed if they read this.
Enjoy yourselves, wherever you are, toodlepip xxx

Altered Bottle
I love Blissful Whites Wednesday, but I couldn't think of anything to photograph, I think I have probably photographed all the white bits I have here. So, I decided to grab an antique bottle from my shelf and decorate it with white lace and neutral colour embellishments. I hadn't done that for a long time, and I had forgotten how slippery slidey glass is, lol. But I got it done in the end -
I am linking this post to the Blissful Whites Wednesdays party over at TIMEWASHED. Thanks, Becky, for hosting this fabulous weekly event.

Ride the waves, Isolde!
Alright, I know this is pretty silly, but hey, it is difficult to come up with a post title which combines both my weekly challenges.
Tag Tuesday letter of the week is 'I', and for some reason I thought of Isolde straight away. Maybe because the movie Tristan and Isolde was quite watchable. I must have enjoyed it for it to still stick in my mind. I used this lovely painting of Isolde by William Gale for the tag, and just a few little embellishments so as not to overwhelm the beautiful face -
The theme over at the Every Inchie Monday blog was 'WAVE'. I cut a few tiny strips of paper with wavy edge scissors and stamped them in different blues, and used some weird shimmery white stuff for the waves' crests -
And off I go again. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week, everybody!

Oh heck, another week gone by
First, I would like to thank you all for your wonderful comments and well wishes on the birth of our little granddaughter Emily. I was so touched by your kind words. she really is a little darling and ever such a good and happy little sweetiepie. I got to cuddle her again a couple of days ago when we visited, and tomorrow they are coming for dinner with us so I can sit there snuggled up with Emily and a big stupid grin on my face. Mustn't forget to take some photos this time, I totally forgot when we last saw her.
What else apart from baby huggling have I been up to? Errmmm, well, dog walking every day, preparing listings for Etsy, sending out orders, and only a little bit of crafting. Oh, I did make another collage a couple of weeks ago and I don't think I have shown you that one yet. Similar in style to the one I had made previously. But here, have a look for yourselves -
I also managed the tag for this week's Tag Tuesday challenge. I have to admit, I have oodles of fun with the alphabet challenge. I love searching through all my images, postcards, magazines etc for the right vintage image. This is what I came up with for H, HATS -
Still have to do this week's inchie, which has me slightly stumped, its Street Sweeper! YIKES!
I am busy busy trying to get things listed in my Etsy shop, gosh, it all takes such a long time, photographing, measuring, packaging, weighing, writing..... still, it is so rewarding when you meet lovely customers and read their wonderful happy comments. I will get round to doing a Vintageland post tonight, promise, to show you some of the stuff going in. Oh heck, another looooong evening, lol, I hope there is something entertaining on the telly to keep me company.
Right, enough chatting, I am off to be a good girl and get back to doing what I am supposed to be doing.
Have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow, my dear friends.

Update, yay, done it, I did a Vintageland post showing you some of the things I have listed in the last couple of days. Have a peek HERE.
