Luke and I went with my parents to the BYU vs. UCLA game a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast! My parents have had season tickets for over 25 years and we love our 50 yard line seats! I love watching Cougar football no matter what, but it was a sweet game...we won 59-0! We both got lovely sunburns on the left side of our faces but it was worth it. Luke is a Ute fan but he was such a good sport...he was so excited for the game and he even wore blue! Maybe Brock will be born the day of the Utah/BYU game...I guess we'll just have to see who he comes out rootin for! :) Thanks mom and dad for taking us to the game, we had a lot of fun!

not for the weak of stomach...
Ok so I have to preface this post by saying that if you're scared of ugly people, go no further. What you are about to see is disgusting, humiliating, and wrong. For those of you who don't know, Luke and I spent our summer rehearsing (june-july) and performing (august) in a show called "Pirated"at Rodgers Memorial Theatre. It's a show that takes place in the 1930's when "talkies" (films with sound) had just come out... A film producer named Rodger Marshall set out to hire cheaply by hiring actors who looked great but had terrible voices and having them lipsync on the set while we, the singers who are terribly ugly sing for them in a sound booth. If you've ever seen "Singin in the Rain" then you get the idea. Anyway, long story long it was a really fun show and I'm sorry for those of you who missed Luke and I dressed hideously acting like geeks on stage. Oh and I just have to say...When we first started rehearsing for the show, Luke wouldn't stop whining about how I was making him do this show and how he didn't want to do it, but truth be told, he had a blast and was the funniest one on stage... :)
Luke and I backstage before our closing night performance...yes that's a gap in my teeth and my belly IS stuffed with a pillow to make me look even MORE pregnant! 3 words for Luke...used car salesman.
Luke and I with our friends Melissa and Dan. They were singing nerds too.
This is probably the grossest picture ever. We're living proof that there's a bum for every seat.
Ok so this picture might be grosser. I don't think grosser is a word.
Me trying to show some love to the dummy with a broken nose back stage. Dan is trying to stop me in the background. Random thought: whenever I started singing on stage, Brock would move and kick a lot...I liked to tell myself it was because he likes the sound of my voice, but I guess he could have been trying to make me stop huh...

--EFY CD CONCERT--
So two weeks ago-ish, yourldsneighborhood.com put on EFY cd release concerts at the McKay Events center at UVU where we got to perform the songs from this year's EFY cd and a few others. It was such a blast..John Bytheway was the MC and he was hilarious -of course- and we had an INCREDIBLE band which my brothers Mikey and Granty got to be a part of. The performers were Jessie Clark Funk, Daniel Beck, Mindy Gledhill, Greg Simpson, yours truly, Joslyn Poole, Ben Truman and Grant Gibbons (part of 'The Gibbons' brothers band) and he performed a song Guy wrote called "Talk About Us"...not on their CD but a great tune! Here's just a small glimpse of a few of the songs performed at the concerts...
Left to right: Jessie, Ben, Me, Dan..in the back you can see one of our guitarists Mike Dowdle and our bass guitarist Craig Poole. They are so talented. We're singing a song on the album called "Hurrah For Israel" written by my dad Barry Gibbons.
On the left is Jim Funk on keyboards and on the right is Grant playing trumpet (he also played keys) for the song "Time" which is a bonus track on the CD that Guy wrote and recorded before he left on his mission.
Ben Truman singing "Time" since obviously Guy wasn't there...lol. Mikey on the left on guitar.
Granty jammin' out on keys.
Jessie (also preggie, due almost 2 weeks after me with a lil boy) singin some Aretha Franklin...that girl has some pipes!!!
Granty was a hit with the ladies after he sang and played "Talk about us"
Ben, Me, Dan, singing "Hurrah For Israel"
Me singing my song on the CD called "Power of One"
My little preggie belly...I thought I was big then, but only a few weeks later I'm a lot bigger now!
Mikey playing guitar for "Power of One"
Ben singing "Time" which was the last song of the concert.
It was so much fun and I feel so blessed to be able to be doing what I love to do and to be surrounded by such talented artists. Of course Luke was in the audience both nights cheering me on like a good husband :) I had a lot of family and friends come support me so thanks everyone who came!! Hope you had fun!
