It's Getting Cold Outside

Puzzles have become the big thing in our house. Skylr can put together a 100 piece puzzle in 15 min.
No dishwasher equals lot of helping hands to wash all our dishes!!
Halloween was lots of fun. Pumpkin carving and painting and the Lucore baby in a pumpkin!!
The kids went trunk or treating. Skyr was jasmine, Gavin was batman and Zoey was a kitty.
Along with trunk or treat our ward had a carnival theme inside and a chili feed. We have had lots of fun getting to know the ward and participate in these fun activities.

Skylr has started preschool this year and LOVES it. She really likes her teacher and is friends with everyone in her class (her class size is 12). She has been learning her letters and numbers as well as becoming very social (she isn't near as shy as she used to be).
Forts have been a very fun thing since the kids are sharing a room. They have been doing so well in the same room and soon Zoey will be in there too...that will be a whole new adventure I am sure.
We have also been able to check out our surroundings. Clarkston and Lewiston are behind us and it sure was fun checking out the town and we found a great little place to eat that we can't wait to visit again.
Laundry (and dishes) have been an adjustment. Tim has 3 FULL bags and a FULL laundry basket. We have a good routine for those things now that wok well for our family.
Gavin turned 2 and we celebrated with toy story cupcakes, presents and playing at McDonald's (the only indoor play area in town). Gavin and the family had a great time together, thank you to our family for sending gifts, cards and love.
We sure do like to do silly things together!!
We got a little bit of snow, so the kids and Tim tried to make a snowman but there wasn't enough snow.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! We stayed in Pullman for thanksgiving, but our ward had a thanksgiving meal put together for all hat were staying. On thanksgiving day we went to the church for dinner and socializing.
Skylr made a cup pyramid at the ward thanksgiving dinner with her daddy.
We also visited Kamiak Butte on thanksgiving and found some cool walking trails to visit when it gets warmer. At the Butte there is a really cool and fun park that is surrounded by lots of pine trees, the kids has a blast but will enjoy it more when it warms up.
Zoey is growing so fast and likes to giggle and smile. She (like the other kids) is a big mamas girl and likes to be held. She eats great and lets me sleep alright at night (4 hours at a time).
It is now Christmas time and we are all decorated and excited for the season of giving. We don't have any presents out, in attempt to keep the kids from opening them as well as using this as an opportunity to learn about the true meaning of CChristmas. We have made a count down to Christmas and on each link there is a reminder written on it to help someone or to learn about Christmas traditions. Each day I hope we  can learn as a family that Christmas isn't about receiving gifts, but about helping and giving to others. We will still exchange gifts, but will wait until Christmas to put all the presents under the tree.
This is my new treasure that I found at a thrift shop for $35, now the TV doesn't have to be on our dresser and we can have our dresser in our room with clothes in it again. :)
Happy Holidays!! Stay happy and healthy and don't forget the true meaning of Christmas!!

Our New Little Life

Tim was accepted into the Washington State University program this 2012 Fall-2014Spring. Tim and I packed up the house (we found renters for our house in Caldwell) and Tim took all of our stuff to an 850sq ft apartment in Pullman, WA while I and the kids stayed with my mom at her house for 7wks without Tim.  During our stay at my moms we had lots of fun. We went to the Zoo, the park, went on walks and played together during the day. Skylr really liked going to my moms ward and making new friends. Gavin had surgery on his thumb to correct trigger thumb on his right hand. He also has a small form of trigger thumb on his left thumb, but will hopefully be able to work it out on his own.
This is mama 5 days before Zoey was born.
The kids enjoyed going to the library also, so I made Skylr and Gavin library bags like Logan. The bags were so much fun to make and the kids picked out their own fabric which was a fun thing for them too. They LOVE going to the library so we are in the works to get our library cards in Pullman.

Zoey Lynn Lucore was born September 13, 2012 at 9:45am. She was 7lbs 10oz 21inch. She is as healthy as can be and Skylr and Gavin love her so much. Tim wasn't able to see her in person until she was 6 days old, but he was so happy to welcome her into the Lucore family. Because Tim was unable to be there for the birth, my mom was there to help in any way she could (which was mainly to make sure Zoey was healthy and in good care). We are all together now and so happy!
September 22, 2012 Tim drove the family to Pullman and now we have been in our apartment settled in for a week. We enjoy being here, but miss Boise and our family back home. We have been able to see the grizzly bears and do a little driving so I can navigate around town a little. We have been exploring the area and have found that it is a beautiful place to be in, but will always miss Boise Idaho.

So Much Going On!!

Tim was accepted into the Washington State University program this 2012 fall semester to receive his Masters in Spanish Pedagogy. Tim will be moving our belongings the first of Aug. while the kids and I stay in Idaho to have a baby GIRL!!

We are so exited for all of the changes that are about to happen. We are going to be at WSU for 2yrs and then off to get a PHD in Spanish. I am so proud of Tim and all that he has achieved.

Skylr and Gavin have been great helpers while we go through all of our stuff to purge for a big moving sale this summer. we are moving into an apartment on campus that is half the size of our house so we are in definant need to downsize our belongings. :)

Skylr was very excited to announce to us that we are having a girl this summer and she "can't wait to change diapers and hold her." What a funny girl.

This pregnancy was ruff in the beginning just like the other two, but just about 18wks I started to feel much better and am back to my stinker self. :)

Success!!

What a wonderful Christmas season! The kids helped decorate the tree, Tim put lights on the house for the first time and they looked GREAT! Skylr and I made a Christmas count down and she didn't want to take the links off. She wanted the chain to stay long. Silly girl.

This was our FREE Christmas tree that we were so happy to find, our other one was only 4 ft. this one is 6ft. it fits in our house much better.

Tim is officially a Boise State Graduate!!

This is the graduation ceremony. Tim is in the 4th row near the center isle and we were able to see each other the whole time. :)

Can you find Tim? Tim was so excited all he could look at was the diploma.

Proud Family!

Tim's graduation party. Go Broncos!BSU Cake

Skylr had so much fun at the party, there were bean bag toss' and balloons, but she wanted to play in the helium tank box. :)
Christmas ginger bread house. Our first!

Christmas Eve. G&G Miller and Logan came over for dinner and to decorate cookies for Santa.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Thank you to all our family for making this such a wonderful Christmas for our family, we are truly blessed.

Gavin got a four wheeler for Christmas and can scoot all around the house on it, Gavin has also learned how got up and down the stairs which makes play time fun!

Gavin loves to climb on daddy. Which helped mom get a fun project done.

We sold our dinning set and found this for FREE on Craigslist. I refinished the table, bench and chairs all for FREE.

The kids had to eat on the floor for a couple of days while i got the dining set done, but they thought it was fun.

here is the finished product. I would have liked to have it stained, but there were to many imperfections that made it look rustic and that wasn't the look we wanted. we are happy with our revamped FREE dinning set. :)
