Quick update...

It's been a little while:) And we have a lot of changes in our household...
Our Christmas pictures were taken just a week shy of a pretty big change...
After King passed, we all had such a hard time with it... but none of us as much as Sugar. She would run into the house constantly searching for him, would not go into her doghouse without him, and just kept looking at us with a look of, "why aren't you guys bringing him home?" The pain from missing King was so great for me that I had told myself I was NOT going to get another dog for a while. But to see our sweet Sugar so upset, it made me have a change of thought.
We knew we wanted to rescue a dog, and Ricky had always wanted a border collie. So when we saw that a litter of puppies was born and needed to be rescued... we decided to go check them out.
And yep... that's right, we came home with TWO!!!! Come on, between those adorable faces and the knowledge of how much Ricky and I love dogs.... this should come as no surprise to anyone. =)
This handsome devil is Bruzer. A big lop and a face that you can't help but make you smile.
And by those big paws the vet seems to think he may be a pretty big boy. We actually found out later that they think they may be a border collie/bull mastiff mix =)
And here is Ruca... her and Karly had an imediate bond. They have not left eachothers side. And Karly is such a great helper with the pups.
This is their mama. So we definately know they are border collie. She's a pretty girl huh?!?
Ricky just loves these two to peices, I knew he would... I will still find him from time to time in tears in the backyard from missing our first boy. He would have had some fun with these little ones. So the pain is not gone, but they sure have numbed it a ton.
Sugar took a bit to get used to them. I would talk to her and say, "I know what your thinking... screw these new dogs, bring my King back!" But once she gave them a chance. She fell in love with them just as much as we did. They are three amigos now and we just love all of them so much.
And now for a little update on our two girls...
Karly turned 4 at the end of January!!! CRAZY!
She is in school and just LOVES it. These are her two best buds in school... Carter and Ashton. Ricky asked her, "Why are you friends with the boys, what about the girls in your class?" Her reply was, "The girls are nice, but the boys are nicer." YUP, Ricky is in for it! She actually does have a lot of girl friends too, she wanted to invite practically the whole class to her birthday party. Little social butterfly!
She just started Tball as well. And already has talk of being the star player on the team. Can't wait to see her in action. I LOVED softball growing up, so hopefully it will create some great memories for her too.
AND... she got her first snowboarding experience in Mammoth with us this year.
She did so AWESOME!!!
After some practicing on the small lift... she decided to go on the big lift with us.
Abby was too small to rent gear... so we will have to wait til next year for her to try.
A video of my baby girl in action. She is excited for her next trip to the snow =)
And our June is still a fire ball... but it is safe to say she is calming down a bit.
She is potty trained now....
and all smiles!  She will be turning 2 next month... CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
Might be too young to tell, but she may not be quite the snow bunny her sister is... she didn't seem to be such a big fan of the snow. Faceplanted off the sled and sister clocking her in the head in a snowball fight did not help =/ We will try again though =)
Other than that she was still all smiles!!!
Great time with these two cuties.
Abby is talking so clearly now... "YES" being her favorite thing to say. She still has a ton of energy but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Another exciting monthly event is with this beauty. Ricky is racing now and is doing pretty darn well... now we just need to get this car in tip top shape. All the boys are having fun with this time in our lives and I have to say I am enjoying it too. Prayers for a safe fun season for everyone!
So that is us in a nuttshell at this point in our lives. Very blessed is what we are, and we couldn't ask for more!
