I headed back to work a couple of weeks ago. I had some people tell me that it is completely easier with the second child... THEY WERE WRONG =)... I have to say that I think I somewhat knew how I was going to feel so I could control it a little better. That did not stop the tears and the little bit of heart break when I drop them off in the morning and the pure joy to come home and see them! I don't think that ever goes away!!! I am so blessed with the best babysitter ever... MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER IN LAW... and a love for my occupation (I know most think it's odd, but to get my hands on some needing to be cleaned teeth was so much fun =)
... the weeks before I went back... to say I wore out my kids is an understatement =/ I just wanted to get in as much mom/daughter time as I could =)
One of my first days back as I was picking up the kids from Kathies... Karly says to me, "Mom, I'm so proud of you!"... I said, "Thanks honey, what are you proud of me for?"... she says, "I'm so proud of you for brushing peoples teeth!"...
... now if that doesn't melt you heart!!!
We were sort of worried about miss Abby eating ok. We could not get her to take the bottle =/ But good ol Kath got her to take it NO PROBLEM!
... so those adorable rolls aren't going anywhere for a while =)
... and these two are still best buds even at Grandma Kathies =)
Karly's hair is rather WILD these days...
... fits her two year old energy =)
... cheetoh teeth...
... she so cute!
And our June bug is about to start on some "real" food in the next week or so, for now she has been enjoying cold ice in the SoCal heat =)
I swear... no one can get Abby laughing as hard as Karly can =)
Playing with a new gift from Grandma Kathie...
... almost crawling... she can roll to get where she needs to go =)
And we took a day with Mayme who got Karly two of her new favorite movies. Cartoons, popcorn, candy... too much fun!!!
My joyful little june bug... she is just such a happy little thing that I adore!
And this little monkey... blowing milk bubbles!
With her little sister taking notes nearby =)
And that's how it's done!
... they are my pride and joy!
This one may be teething, not sure, but that tongue is constantly out!
Karly said she wanted her toys... do you think she loaded her up with enough? =)
Karly has been practicing her golf game with her new set of clubs that Grandma Kelly got her...
... she even golfed her first 9 holes with her Daddy... He said she had a blast!!! Cutest golfer I've ever seen!!!
Watching movies in thier play room together... awww I love them so much! So even though going back to work has been bitter-sweet, I am just so thankful that I have these two gorgeous, happy little things to come home to!!! They will ALWAYS be my FIRST LOVE!!! Thank you also to my mother in law who always makes this transition so easy... like I have told you before... you are such a blessing!
This video is on my phone and just brings a smile to my face EVERY time I watch it... hope it does the same for all of you! =)
