During the second week of my vacation from work, we got to go on a week long trip up North with Rick and Kathie... Ricky used to go camping a lot here with his family and has always wanted to show me the area, so we were all reallly excited to go...
Kar and I fell asleep for most of the ride up there and woke up to this sign... I knew it was gonna be a great trip after seeing my grandmas name right off the bat =)
These photos were from our first camp spot... Silver Lake.... sooooo amazing!
Karly was very excited to start her first camping experience!
She helped Papa get everything set up!
... and it wasn't long before we were out for our first fishing experience!
This place sure is dirty!
... she got used to the dirt real quick to say the least... her feet were the sign of a true camping girl!
Family shot at our camp sight... how lucky are we!!!!
I have to thank Pat and Tracy for giving us Owies old backpack carrier... we used it a ton and Karly LOVED IT!
I LOVE ASPEN TREES... the way they twinkle in the sun and the soothing sound they make in the wind can't get much better than that!
Gosh what a beautiful place!
We got to see quite a few of Bambi's friends on our trip!
Karly playing in a nearby stream... love this shot!
Dancing with grandma
What is Papa doing?
Yay... our first fish... Ricky actually caught it, Rick took the credit. haha love it!
My husband gettin knee deep to catch those fish
Another family shot!
Karly had her first accident fairly early in our trip... fell out of the motor home =/... tough little chick! This was on our way out for a drive to see the scenery near silver lake...
Couple more friends, a mama and her baby... so cute!
Kisses!
Can you tell she enjoyed the trip?!?
When we weren't out fishing, hiking, biking or checking out the scenery... Karly loved to walk around the camp and say "HALLO" to everyone in the camp sight... "Ummm Mom.... 'MON!!!" =)
I would have to say we had a slightly gorgeous camp sight!!!
Karly loved the bike rides
Loving on Dad
Me and my baby girl!
We never had a dull moment!
Got to love footed pajamas and crocks =) Only an ADORABLE LITTLE THING can pull that off! =)
Putting on her chapstick, or just eating it =/ Little turd!
AWWWW... love a good camp fire!
"HOT!" Karly would say.
Peek-a-Boo!
The last day we had at Silver Lake, Ricky, Karly and I did a 14 mile hike up to Agnew Lake....
Another gorgeous day!
Before shot!
Karly girl packed in and ready to go!
So Ricky thought it was a good idea that he carry Kar since I am pregnant... I think he was regretting that decision about half way up =) Just kidding, but he was pretty tired!
About half way up the mountain we saw these tracks...
... and then were amazed to see this sign saying that they still use them!!!
They were just a little steep...
... to say the least!
Karly girl still happy... DAD... NOT SO MUCH! =)
I think this is one of my favorite shots I got.
.... AWWWW we made it!!!
Karly girl got a break from her back pack!
And Ricky got his much needed break from his 23 pound extra! =) Plus a quick dip of his shirt in the cold lake, and we were on our way back down!
Ricky loved to look at all the designs in the rocks!
Parts of the trail were man made...
One last dip in a stream...
... and we made it back. Karly did so AWESOME... Ricky and I did have to rap some Vanilla Ice the last 10 minutes of the hike to keep our baby girl smiling, but I was so proud of my littlest hiker!
And it was back to the fishing, by this point Ricky was the champion fisherman... ONE PROBLEM... he felt bad now everytime he would catch a fish (oh my animal loving man!)
It really was the most beautiful place to fish!
Cupcake was not left out of this trip! She came back more of a beige color rather than her normal white coat =)
Karly helping grandma cook our last breakfast at Silver lake...
... she grubbed on her first chorizo and egg burrito!
Next, we headed to Bishop to camp...
... we took a drive up to Sabrina, get ready to see some amazing scenery!
Me and my love in one of the most beautiful places we have been!
Rick's jeep was a sure thing to put Karly down for her naps!
Rick, Kathie, Ricky and Karly

Girls!
Karly loved to smell all the flowers!
And a treat from Grandma on the way home made for a perfect ride!
The next morning Ricky, Karly and I decided to just check out the campground we were at!
They had a ton of collectables that we enjoyed looking at... an old singer sewing machine!
I wish!
Oh I love my little girl!
My little jail house rocker!
Old license plates
Gas pump
An old carriage and two of my favorite people!
We stopped to play in the playground... OF COURSE!
They also had an old theater replica!
"So what we watchin Dad?"
Maybe this is why they call them the good 'ol days... things were either free or VERY inexpensive!
I had to take a picture of this... I remember my Grandpa Seth had this exact shoe polishing kit in his closet!
Someone could get very hurt with this old saw!
\... and this is when I am thankful to NOT be in the "good 'ol days!" =)
The golf course attached to our camp site has been there forever... wooden clubs and all!!! Ricky didn't bring his clubs, but it is definatley a must for our next trip up there!
Playing with Papa
We got Kar a lucky shirt for our last fishing trip that day... "I'm a Keeper!"
I got some fishing tips from my father-in-law!
This place is SOOOO MUCH FUN!
This one Rick did catch... Ricky wasn't the only one lucky this time! =)
Dr. Karly Lee checking out Papa's cut!
Yup... caught my first fish.... AWOOOHOOO!
We had the BEST time. It's amazing to me with such beautiflul places like this in the world, that some people question if there is a God... it just re-assures us what an amazing Lord he is. And we thank him so much for blessing us with Rick and Kathie... We really had a blast, and THANK YOU BOTH for making the trip one we will NEVER FORGET! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
The day we got back was our Jenna Bleu's totally 80s Birthday party that WE WERE NOT going to miss, so we quickly put together our best 80s outfit and headed over to Tracy and Pats...
