Leslie became a Canadian Citizen on March 18, 2019. After months of studying and stressing out about the Citizenship examination, she aced it no problem!

Winter Retreat
We decided to go on a small road trip for a couple days to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to a fun family center. We took Teesha along as well for another set of hands. The place had an indoor water park, a ropes course, laser tag, bowling and an arcade. We had a great time.

Christmas 2018
We had a fun Christmas season in 2018. We spent Christmas in Cardston, but we were also able to head down to Utah the week after Christmas and celebrate New Years in Utah with the Grow cousins. Of course, we had to take the boys to see Santa, and as per tradition when really young, that is a scary thing!
It's exciting for the boys to open their new pajamas on Christmas Eve. We also have a family tradition of drawing names among the siblings to give a present on Christmas Eve. The sibling you draw is supposed to be secret. The boys really enjoy this tradition, but it is nearly impossible for the triplets to keep a secret.
We let the boys sleep in the same room Christmas Eve. They were very excited and had a hard time falling asleep, with Mason being the last one to finally fall asleep. Santa found our house, and David ended up being the first one up!
On the 28th of December, we drove down to Peoa to spend time with the Grows. The kids really enjoyed playing with their cousins and doing lots of fun activities. We were able to go swimming, ice skating, visit a trampoline park, and even went to a Monster Truck Rally.

Tough December
David had a rough start to his December. For Thomas, Mason and Luke's birthday, we decided to take the kids to Subway for lunch. As mom and David were coming out of Subway, some snow fell from the awning overhead just at the right time! He was not impressed.
In mid December, David came down with a nice bout of gastro. He is usually really active and won't let you hold him, but he was not feeling good.
Maybe we just need to stay away from all toilets and everyone will be healthy!
The good news is everyone, David included, was relatively healthy for Christmas.

Birthday Season
Birthday season at our house runs from October 24 until December 5, as
all of the kid's birthdays fall in that 6 week window. We celebrated David's 1st birthday on November 27! He is such a happy and easy going kid (you have to be with 4 older brothers), and we are so glad he is a part of our family.
Benson celebrated his 7th birthday on October 24, and Thomas, Mason and Luke celebrated their 5th birthday on December 5!

Halloween 2018
The boys love super heroes! Just a month before Halloween, they were able to go to the Children's Wish Foundation Heroes Challenge! As part of that day, they were able to dress up as super heroes. They also make a great Halloween costume, and the boys loved wearing them for Halloween. It was our first Halloween in Cardston, and the boys came home with way too much candy.

Injuries
You know you have boys when the injuries start to pile up. Within a week of moving to our new home in Cardston, the boys were playing outside in the backyard. The triplets came up with a brilliant game...push each other off the retaining wall. Now our retaining wall is literally only 2 feet high, but that didn't stop Thomas from cracking his tibia. It also happened to be very bad timing, as it happened just days before our Toronto trip.
Shortly after returning from Toronto, we were at a hotel in Calgary for the night, as the boys were involved in the Children's Wish Foundation Heroes Challenge the next day. As we were getting kids ready for bed, Luke was sitting on the bed watching TV. Out of nowhere, he fell off the bed and hit his face right on the corner of a coffee table. Luckily we have a dentist friend in Calgary who had sutures at his house. Richard took him over and sewed him up.

Here's to many more injuries as the years go by!

Eye checkups
We had medical appointments in Toronto the week of Sept 10-14 and to have new eyes made for the boys. It was our first trip to Toronto since January 2017. Thank you to Robbie and Cammie for letting us stay with them again. I boys sure had fun playing with their cousins. We left Benson in Cardston with Grandma and Grandpa Low, as he just started grade 1. We took David along as well. The appointments went well and their new eyes look great!
We had to do a couple fun things while there, and of course Legoland was tops on the list.

We flew home Sept. 15 (just in time for the boys to start Preschool...1 week late). We are grateful to have such wonderful doctors and medical professionals to help look after the boys.

First day of school 2018
Benson started grade 1 this fall, and Thomas, Mason and Luke started pre-school. Benson's first day was Sept 4. The triplets were supposed to have their first day on Sept 10, but due to their medical appointments in Toronto that week, their first day was Sept 17. Benson really enjoys school, and the triplets apparently are quite energetic at school. They are in the Monday and Wednesday morning class. Needless to say, we are really looking forward to when they go to school everyday!

Busy Summer 2018
We had a very busy summer in 2018. We have really enjoyed our time in Claresholm, and made many great friends while living there. An opportunity came up in Cardston for Richard to practice there, so we made the difficult decision to pick up and move to Cardston. We spent a good chunk of the summer trying to get ready for that move and find a place to live, as we wanted to get settled in before school started. We were still able to do fun things such as spend some time in Waterton and go to Utah. We even joined Leslie's family at Lake Powell, which was a first for Thomas, Mason, Luke and David.
Although we were a bit nervous for the long drive to Utah with David, he did very well overall. We stopped overnight in Peoa at Leslie's parents, then got up the next day and drove another 6 hours to Page, Arizona so that we could be ready for Lake Powell.

We survived Lake Powell, which is an accomplishment with 5 little boys. We spent the following week in Peoa. Not long after returning to Peoa, Leslie decided to try to step back in time and skateboard. Despite being warned by her very wise husband, she stepped on the board, made it about 2 feet, then promptly fell, landing on her left arm. Well, that fall ended up being an expensive one for our insurance company, as she sustained a radial head fracture.
She was a good sport, and although injured, she didn't slow down. We spent a fun week with cousins and friends.
August was very busy, as we were constantly packing. We found a home to purchase in Cardston, and were fortunate enough to sell our home in Claresholm as well.
