It's Dessert Time ! Fluffy Ice Experience at Tong Pak Fu 糖百府 @ Paradigm Mall

I've heard soooo much about Tong Pak Fu  . . so here is the verdict :) Dropped by at the branch in Paradigm Mall.

Fell in love with the colors of their wood tiles . .

♥ the pinch of the soft turquoise . . pretty artistic !

Well compliment with the bright orange and white chairs . .

This is where the magic begins . . how they transform a block of ice to your favourite dessert !

Its menu.

Tong Pak Fu is clearly the homophone of Tong Pak Fu (in cantonese), a famous Ming Dynasty scholar. Fu carries the connotation of shop, Tong refers to 'Tong Shui' or dessert while Pak symbolises the blooming of different varieties and styles. The combination then brings out the message of "a dessert shop offering myriad of choices" - be it traditional or new flavours.

The founders of "Tong Pak Fu" are Hong Kong Brothers, Ben and Man Li.

Our order . .

Five-star Western Desert
Creme Brulee

Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Texture ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥♥
rm 7.80

Creme Brulee has always been my favourite dessert of all time !
The joy of breaking the shattering caramalized crust on the top layer . . the crack sound . . scooping out the rich, smooth and creamy custard filling inside is just EPIC !

Oozing with deliciousness!
The custard filling is not too sweet but delicious enough to keep you craving for the next scoop ;)

Certainly my favourite !!

Wanted to order their No. 1, must try ! Best Seller Tracka Durian Snow Ice, but it was sold out :( Almost in tears, the waiter recommended me to try out their next favourite . .

Award Winning: Snow Ice
Mango Snow Ice
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Texture ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 8.80 (regular)

They claimed that they use fresh milk together with 100% freshly squeezed mango juice without any artificial and coloring. Is a really healthy dessert after all ! More reason to try out all the other flavours . . tehee :)

Served with side toppings: Aloe Vera Jellies, Nata de Coco and Passion Fruit Pop-Eggs. Of course I would prefer these toppings to be alil sweeter, however I believe they were meant to be slightly mild, so that you can actually taste the freshness of the mango ice !

What so special about this fluffy ice is the thousand layers of light and fluffy snow delicately piled up on each other that melt softly in your mouth with a cooling sensation.

Pure bliss !

Satay Satay Restaurant @ One Utama

Hmm . . Craving for Satay while you are shopping?

The name of the restaurant says it all . . definately a MUST-TRY !

The Classic Chicken Satay
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 12.90 (10 sticks)

Well seasoned and grilled to perfection. Yumm-O !
The chicken skewers has the perfect formula: the right amount of fats and meat (85% meat/15% fats) + the right level of marination + the degree of tenderness of the meat measured by the moist and juiciness of the meat.

However, it is indeed pricey for a satay meal which usually only costs about rm 0.60 per stick, but no complaint since they are bringing this meal to your convenience right? ;)

Nasi Borjari
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 15.90

I believe Nasi Borjari was originated from Indonesia judging the way the food was presented, rice served in the middle with variety of side dishes surrounding (Deep fried marinated chicken, Egg, Acar, Cucumber slices, Sambal Chilli and Peanuts).

First of all, BIG thumbs up to its portion, it's King Size. And check out its large serving of peanuts !!! I nearly scream out loud ! The combination of Sambal Chilli with Peanuts is just epic ! That's is why I heart Nasi Lemak. Also, the deep fried marinated chicken is delicious! This Nasi Borjari is different compared to the classic Nasi Lemak as it is served with fragrant colored rice: yellow, orange with some pinch of red and green. It is like what we Malaysian call Nasi Briyani :) Btw, I'm still crazy over the peanuts !!

They also have a daily selection of lunch set meal only at rm 9.90.
Served with Iced Lemon Tea/Black Jelly/Chinese Tea.

Monday
Sweet and Sour Chicken + Foo Yong Egg

Tuesday
Ayam Masak Merah + Bayam with Ikan Bilis

Wednesday
Kong Po Chicken + Braised Toufu

Thursday
Golden Deep Fried Chicken + Stir Fried Chinese Cabbage

Friday
Ayam Masak Chilli Padi + Kangkung Sambal Belacan

Thursday Set Meal
Golden Deep Fried Chicken + Stir Fried Chinese Cabbage
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥
rm 9.90

Err . . I'm alil disappointed with this, not sure if it's the presentation or the portion of the food :( Pretty standard taste, but certainly not a value meal.

Oh well, my recommendations is to try out their other selections of Ala-carte and of course their Satay :)

Aiyu Wintermelon Lemonade
Rating: Taste ♥♥♥ Value for money ♥♥♥ Overall ♥♥♥
rm 5.80

I'm a big fan of any form of jelloish jelly tingie. Hehe. Aiyu is a famous Taiwanese Jelly made from the gel of a variety of Fig seeds, best served with honey and lemon. Unlike usual, this drink here has the classic wintermelon sweetness instead of honey. Love this drink :)

Grass Jelly Milk Tea
Rating: Taste ♥♥ Value for money ♥♥ Overall ♥♥

Good standard Smooth milk tea but nothing extraordinaire. Unfortunately, they were out of black pearls that time :( However, me chose the next best, which is the Grass Jelly of course.

They have a mini section of fun board games of your choice !

Nothing beats a good old game of wooden blocks.

It wasn't ME ! :p
