GERMANY WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW, GERMANY IS IN THE FINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, i didn't watch last nite, cause i doze off... hahax... but i woke up, i went to turn on TV to see the results... hahax... here is the whole match record of words... Credit to http://www.goal.com/en/Partita.aspx?IdPartita=20507
90'+5 And that's it! Germany have won it! Some how, some way! Turkey did it all and Germany were extremely lucky, that's all that can be said at the end of the day. Exceptional entertainment though! Thanks for joining us here on Goal.com, stay logged on for the official match report, player ratings, team reactions and much more!
90'+4 It's Tumer Metin, it's well over, and that's surely it! That's the substitute's first touch and perhaps Hamit would have been a better choice as he has been in the game from the start. It was an attempt at a surprise, but it didn't go according to plan.
90'+3 Free-kick conceded by Ballack about 25 yards from goal straight in the middle. They don't really have a free-kick specialist. This is surely the last chance...
90'+2 Substitution Kazim Kazim Tümer Metin
90'+1 Substitution Klose M. Jansen M.
90'+1 Tumer Metin is on for Turkey for Balta, while Jansen replaces Klose as Germany look to waste time and see out the last few moments.
90' GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!! ANOTHER GOAL! PHILIPP LAHM! WOULDYOU BELIEVE IT?! THIS COULD BE IT, IT HAS TO BE IT! It was a good move down the keft, Turkey were left open down that same flank again. Lahm raced in behind to rocket a ball in at the near post. Brilliant run and finish! Heartbreaking for Turkey - or is it?!
89' Goal Lahm P.
89' And Semih puts a pretty tame shot wide of goal. Turkey are still the side with all the confidencec. Anything could happen now though - absolutely anything!
86' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! GOL GOL GOL TURKEY! SEMIH SENTURK! SEMIH AGAIN! Sabri did brilliantly out on the right to leave Lahm for dead and slide a ball across goal and Semih did brilliantly to get in front of his man and poke the ball past Lehmann! Amazing! Absolutely amazing! 2-2!
85' Goal Semih Şentürk
84' Substitution Uğur Boral Gökdeniz Karadeniz
82' Gokdeniz is on for Turkey as they are passing around trying to find a way through the German wall of white shirts but it's not looking likely. However, we of course cannot rule out Turkey after the tournament they've had.
81' Substitution Ayhan Akman Erding M.
80' Ohhh! A corner for Turkey had to be palmed away by Lehmann as it threatened to curl into the far post! Mevlut is on, a striker, in place of Ayhan, as the second corner is cleared by Germany.
79' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL!!! KLOSE FOR GERMANY! RUSTU MIGHT HAVE THROWN IT AWAY! Lahm crossed it in and Rustu failed to deal with it, and it was all too easy for Miroslav Klose! He's not had a good game, but Rustu has handed it to them! Mind you, this is reminiscent of the Croatia quarterfinal - will Rustu get his redemption again or is this the end for Turkey?
78' Goal Klose M.
76' Well Germany are getting on the ball now but failing to get into the final third. Turkey are looking far too strong in all areas, but you just never know with this German side!
73' OHHHH! Hitzlsperger smashed a piledriver that looked like it had the beating of Rustu but it went just wide!
72' OHHH! Nice work from Ugur Boral out on the left hand side again, cutting inside and rocketing a shot on goal with his left, but Lehmann kept it out.
70' Kazim Kazim has gone down in the area following a tug of the shirt. Contact wasn't enough to take him to ground but there are strict laws on shirt-pulling...nothing given. Still it's Turkey forcing the issue.
66' Turkey are enjoying all the possession at the moment and looking to engineer a way through the German backline. Sabri just went on a brilliant run down the right hand side but his cross eluded all his team-mates. Schweinsteiger attempted a break but Aurelio did exceptionally well to shut him down and win the ball back for the Turks.
62' Turkey are still full of energy as Sabri has run 50 yards to get a cross in from the right, though Lehmann did well to hold onto it.
60' Turkey have a free-kick about 40 yards from goal and Hamit Altintop has gone for an extremely ambitious effort that has been blasted well over the bar.
58' Oh and it's very poor from Michael Ballack, tame and into the middle of the wall.
57' Hamit Altintop comes in from behind on Michael Ballack, winning the ball with a tackle but coming from behind has resulted in a free-kick. It's in dangerous territory, Ballack has scored one this tournament already and Schweinsteiger, as well as Podolski can hit them...
56' And Metzelder has gone over with an embarrassing dive to try and get Semih sent off but it hasn't convinced the referee.
55' Ohhhh! That penalty shout has galvanised the Germans a little bit as Hitzlsperger rifles a shot just over the bar after a spell of some good possession.
52' Yellow Card Semih Şentürk
52' Replays have confirmed it definitely wasn't a dive, there was hard contact with Philipp Lahm from Sabri but it was right on the edge of the area. Most probably a free-kick, but very close and Sabri and Turkey can count themselves a little lucky now, with the Germans having ridden their own luck earlier.
51' OHHH! HUUUGE shout for a penalty for the Germans as Lahm was taken down on the edge of the area. It's unclear whether contact was in the box or outside, or even if Lahm took a dive, but nothing has been given, no free-kick, no penalty, no simulation - terrible refereeing!
50' Turkey are still looking far better, it's quite miraculous! They had several near-misses as they tried to thread the ball through the German backline.
49' Lahm conceded a free-kick for a cynical tug on Semih and though there was protest that the German was not shown a yellow card, eventually the free-kick came in, but it was over-hit and went straight into the arms of Lehmann.
47' And we've already gone end to end in the first 90 seconds. Germany almost through first before a good interception from Mehmet Aurelio, then they made an attack of their own that came to an end when Colin Kazim-Richards couldn't quite batter his way through Philipp Lah, Germany were right back on the attack doown the left hand side with Podolski, who raced away from his man only to eventually over-hit his cross. The second half looks like continuing in the same vein as the first!
45 And we're back! Frings is on for Rolfes in an enforced change as he went off after a clash of heads. Germany will need a dramatically improved performance in order to survive this half of football - and who wouldn't bet against them producing it? Here we go!
45 Substitution Rolfes S. Frings T.
45'+1 And that's half time! Absolutely thrilling stuff - has to be the best first half of the tournament so far! It's 1-1, Turkey led but could only hold onto it for four minutes before poor defending saw Germany level. However, make no bones about it, Turkey have been far superior: passing, moving, probing and generally looking a yard sharper and faster than their more illustrious opponents. Their tendency to almost over-commit could see them found out on the break, though, as the Germans have scored with what was their only genuine attack of the game and they almost got through a few more times. Let's see where it goes - stay with us as second half coverage begins in 15 minutes! Half time in Basel: Germany 1-1 Turkey!
45' Rolfes takes to the field to immense applause but he is likely to play on until half time only, at which point he will probably be replaced by Frings.
43' Turkey are looking full of confidence, though Hamit just wasted possession with long range effort that went well over. Rolfes' game looks like it could be over soon, as he is still receiving treatment and Torsten Frings, who was a risk with a fractured rib, is getting kitted up.
41' Plenty of action! Great stuff from Turkey! They Ayhan is back on while Rolfes continues to get treatment. Sabri just had an effort that went whistling over the bar. Turkey definitely look like scoring before half time here. Germany are just hanging in!
40' OUCH! A nasty clash of heads between Ayhan and Rolfes has left them both bleeding heavily and receiving treatment on the touchline. Hopefully they can both continue.
38' It was an absolute bullet from Mehmet Topal on goal! It was a weak, three-man German wall and therefore well worth the effort, Lehmann was alert to get a decent double-fist to it, and the rebound wouldn't sit right for any of the Turkish bodies in the box. Close one!
36' Free-kick Turkey, Philipp Lahm foolishly put in a high boot trying to stop Kazim Richards going inside him. It's in a dangerous position right on the edge of the area on the right...
34' OHHHHH BIG CHANCE FOR GERMANY! Podolski is left all on his own and is set free down the left, racing towards goal only to put his effort over! He's been one of the best strikers of the ball in the tournament so far and you'd have backed him to score. Klose was running with him but Poldi perhaps had his head down. Poor marking, Sabri should have at least been close to his man.
31' OHHH! A free-kick from Hamit Altintop - a mis-timed cross - went on goal and Lehmann made a meal out of keeping it out, parrying it over the bar at the last moment!
31' The first corner was sent out for another, which was taken short and saw Ugur skip past two before trying an ambitious shot which he made poor connection with. Could have attempted a cross in for all the bodies in the box.
29' Nice move from Turkey! They hit on the break and Semih played a delightful one-two with Sabri, who then hit a looping cross back into the area for Semih to get onto, and he beat Mertesacker in the air to get a header on goal! It was a weak one, but nevertheless impressive from Semih, just lacking support.
26' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL! GOL GERMANY! Their first real attack and they've scored! And Turkey held a lead for all of three or four minutes! They really DO seem better off coming from behind! It was Podolski who was freed down the left hand side and the shaky right-back Sabri failed to get close to the Bayern man, making it a little too easy for him to put a ball right across the box for Schweinsteiger, who made a great run to the near post as he did against Portugal to poke the ball home! 1-1!!!
26' Goal Schweinsteiger B.
25' It's still all Turkey, playing some wonderful passing moves in the German half and they've just gone close again, as a Semih-won corner was drifted right into the danger zone but Aurelio couldn't get a solid head on it.
22' OHHHHH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!! GOL TURKEY! Turkey have scored the first goal in a game for the first time so far in this tournament! It was a wonderful move that started on the right with a long throw in with the ball chested back to Sabri on the right, who floated in a cross which Kazim hit on the turn. The ball spooned up and came off the bar back to Ugur Boral, who was waiting to scramble it over the line! 1-0 Turkey! Unbelievable!
22' Goal Uğur Boral 20' The game opening up is now showing signs of possibly bearing fruit for Germany, as they are seeing more of the ball.
17' Now it's Turkey looking shaky at the back! A needless error in the first instance from Topal gave Schweinsteiger an opportunity to run in on goal, he was tackled but Germany had numbers up and threatened to fashion an effort on goal but Topal got his body in the way to concede a corner.
16' It's still Turkey who are having all the possession and Michael Ballack has taken a nasty knock to the ankle from Mehmet Aurelio accidentally standing on him. Could it go from bad to worse?! Thankfully it seems not, Ballack is back on his feet.
13' OHHHHHH and Turkey have hit the bar!!! My oh my! Coming forward in numbers, the ball was eventually cut back to Kazim Kazim on the edge of the area, who thundered an effort on goal that crashed off the bar!
11' Turkey are playing with absolutely no fear here, hustling the Germans when in possession and coming forward with real intent themselves.
8' OHHH! Lahm with a terrible error, getting mugged on the byline and Jens Lehmann had to rush out to dispel the danger. The Turks have rattled the Germans just a little bit!
7' First effort on goal is from Turkey and it's from Colin Kazim-Richards. The London-born midfielder was allowed some space to run on the right hand side and let off an ambitious shot from distance. He couldn't get sufficient bend on it but he warmed Jens Lehmann's gloves.
6' Turkey have signalled their intent though, it's not all defence for them. They put together some neat passes in Germany's half and a couple of dangerous crosses almost fashioned an effort on goal. This game could get interesting!
5' Still much of the same so far. A slow start, Germany enjoying possession and Turkey content to sit in their half and wait. Negative? Maybe, but considering their injury crisis perhaps somewhat understandable. The lack of available substitutes means they will have to preserve their energy for as long as possible. Germany are looking reasonably sharp on the ball but are yet to hit anything like top gear.
2' And we're off! Germany are having the early possession, passing around comfortably and trying to engineer an opening.
0' Germany line up as they did against Portugal in a 4-5-1 with Torsten Frings still out with an injury, Lukas Podolski, Michael Ballack and Bastian Schweinsteiger playing off Miroslav Klose, with Thomas Hitzlsperger and Simon Rolfes in behind. The Turks have four players out due to suspension and a further four with injury. England-born Colin Kazim-Richards starts, as does quarterfinal hero Semih Senturk. It promises to be absolutely sensational. Stay with us to see just how it unfolds as Goal.com brings you live, minute-by-minute updates of ALL the action!
0 Welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of Euro 2008. We're in Basel as Germany face Turkey in a huge David versus Goliath encounter for the right to face Spain or Russia in the final on Sunday. Germany are in their sixth semi-final, having won four of their last five (and three of their four finals). Turkey are in their first ever Euro semi, having been in the 2002 World Cup semi-final as well, losing to eventual winners Brazil. Turkey have established themselves as the undisputed comeback kings of this tournament and nothing has kept them down so far - but can the Germans, knockout specialists, put an end to their magical run?

I super bored!!!!!!!!!!!! i slept at 5am yesterday, jux so i can catch the whole germany vs austria match... cause the croatia that match no point watching... poland too lousy... hahax... and croatia that match ended up made fun of poland... cause even their reserve team ppl oso can score one goal... haix... poland should have better luck next time... hahax... but back to my germany vs. Austria... this match better... cause both teams stands a better chance of enterin the quarter-final as compared to poland... and basically, i love germany soccer team... they scored 1-0 cause of My Wonderful soccer star, Michael Ballack free-kick... damn nice lor... the ball bend till so beautifully... but the whole match, ref sucks... i seriously think he hate podolski lor... austria ppl pushed him, then ref say is nth at all... i suspect bribery had taken place... or he seriously hate germany... sucks la... but tankx to tat free-kick that germany was given during the 49 minutes, if not, both team die... not die la... germany will still get thru... but not wonderful results... but this year, their playing not very good leh... all players got injuries... big or small, u named it, they got it... ooo... the match around half-time, the two coaches got into a little fight of their own... politics took place... both coaches got send to the seats at the viewing gallery... hahax... damn sad la... the a.coaches have to take over... but tank god, it was around 5 minutes more to half-time... so the captains of each team, took over... at least, germany captain rox.... cause is ballack ma... hahax... here are some of the over-view of the match yesterday...

Not surprisingly, Marcell Jansen has been dropped, with Arne Friedrich coming into the team at right-back. Philipp Lahm shifts to the left in place of Jansen. Germany are also without suspended Bastian Schweinsteiger, who was sent off after coming on as a sub against Croatia. Germany: Lehmann; Friedrich, Mertesacker, Metzelder, Lahm; Fritz, Frings, Ballack, Podolski; Gomez, Klose.

OH GOSH, tat bad... but i seriously cant rmb... i need to take lyk which is the smartest animal with good memory... say, elephant brains... even though humans are supposed to have a better eq... see below...
2. Elephants are Smart
Elephants have the largest brain, nearly 11 pounds on average of any mammal that ever walked the earth. Do they use that gray matter to the fullest? Intelligence is hard to quantify in humans or animals, but the encephalization quotient (EQ), a ratio of an animal’s observed brain size to the expected brain size given the animal’s mass, correlates well with an ability to navigate novel challenges and obstacles. The average elephant EQ is 1.88. (Humans range from 7.33 to 7.69, chimpanzees average 2.45, pigs 0.27.) Intelligence and memory are thought to go hand in hand, suggesting that elephant memories, while not infallible, are quite good.
