Another short getaway- Batam
(28th-29th December 2011)
Decided to have another short getaway trip before the year ends.
Woke up early that morning to head over to harbour front for our breakkie plus check in.
It was only 12plus when we reached Batam, so we decided to go for the half day city tour since we were not able to check in to our hotel room yet.
We were first being brought to this place where kuay lapis is being freshly baked there. Me and boyfriend made a total order of 3 boxes.
Then we were being brought to Golden Prawn 933 for our lunch.
Food there was so-so and the price there wasn't very cheap either? Speaking of this, things in Batam wasn't as cheap as what I perceived or hear from people.
Anyway, thereafter we were being brought to some factory outlet where I bought a Burberry polo tee. Seriously I still hasn't got any idea if its real or fake until today (although the tour guide claimed that its real). I mean how can it be so cheap?
Then we went to their local product shop where we bought some crackers and BCS for some shopping before we went back to our hotel.
Checked in, nua-ed a little before we went for our one hour complimentary massage.
Harris is a little ulu and there isn't any shopping malls or food places nearby, hence our dinner was simply settled at this Korea restaurant located in the resort itself.
Food there was quite okay and the price was relatively reasonable.
Side note: Boyfriend caught a cold and fell sick after the massage, so we decided to end our day early that day.
Next morning we had our breakkie at the hotel's cafe, and we went for our complimentary bowling.
While waiting for our turn, we went to try some shooting game:
First time playing such game, and yay! I managed to shoot some cans down. Darling said I am good. LOL.
Anyway, us bowling:
After the game, we walked around the resort before heading back our room to pack and to prepare to checkout:
And home sweet home...!

25th December 2011
Like any other years, we spent our christmas together. This year however was a little different. We had our christmas celebration over at Malaysia.
So we met at twelve that day to head over together.

Anyway, it was a long, long day. We started off with our lunch, then singing, followed by searching prezzies for gifts exchange, and then dinner.
After the singing session, we divided ourselves into groups of 3 and gave ourselves one and a half hour each to search for the prezzies before we head for dinner.
Dinner was simply settled at this Japanese ala cart steamboat restaurant (where we also did our gifts exhange there).
Food there was alright, and it was relatively cheap too.

31st December 2011
Started my day with darling, Jiayi, and Michelle for dinner that day. Wanted to have steamboat buffet at Bugis, but because there was a long queue, we ended up at golden mile complex for the chicken rice steamboat instead. Didn't take any photo of the dinner as we were all way to hungry.
Anyway, this year we decided to spend our countdown somewhere less crowded and nearby (so that it wouldn't be too difficult for us to cab home), hence we went De coder's cafe.
Thereafter Marcus came and we went over to west coast Mcdonald for round 2.
Food was good, games were fun.
Most importantly, the company was great. (:

a man, a boy...
i would imagine life fulfilled this way,
simply when...
there is a woman i love who lives in the same house which i call a home,
so that at the end of a busy and hard day at work i know
that i do have someone and somewhere to go home to.
when...
my clothes are always fresh and clean
there is always food on the table when I need some
i have someone to grumble to about work, share silly jokes, cuddle during rainy sundays
that someone doesn't mind me being me, doing what i do.
even at my worst.
when...
that someone don't always agree, but always tries to understand
i have someone who is tender to me, but fierce for me.
she gives me a place to belong to amidst all the bustlings.
Love, is not blind. It sees, but it does not mind.
