Must do Coronado

Dear world,
I love Coronado Island. There is real famous hotel there - The Del (and no, there is no farmer that lives there, I asked.) Everyone loves the hotel and stays or at least visits when they come to Coronado. I think the Del is cool but my fave place on Coronado Island is Dog Beach. If I was your tour guide, that is what I would recommend as a must do.

Party planning

Dear world,
Today is my Dad's birthday. He couldn't be at home, so we will be celebrating when he gets back. That gives me time to think of what we should do for his party. I figure we can go to my fave park (he likes it too.)  Rosy would make sure there are hats, balloons and cake. Mom would walk Annie to  pick up the food I order. You know what that is of course... PIZZA! Isnt that a great party plan?

Wedding in the Park

Dear world,
The other day we went to my favorite park but something new was there- all these chairs, umbrellas and pretty flowers. Mom explained that there was going to be a wedding. Cool! Other than the Royal wedding on TV, I never saw a real wedding before. They chose a really pretty spot and it was a beautiful day. But I still would prefer the beach if I were to have a ball exchange ceremony.

Pink Day

Dear world,

Yes, today is actually National Pink Day. Of course, Rosy wanted all of us to celebrate. First she dressed in her all her pink poodle glory. Then Annie got to take her cone off but Rosy replaced it with a hot pink boa. I was lucky this time. I got away with just a pink bandanna.

San Diego County Fair

Dear world,
I get to see the San Diego County Fair on my walk everyday. So the other day I decided to stop and watch it.  I was a bit disturbed by all the screaming. Mom explained that it was just people having fun on the rides. How can people consider something fun if it is so scary that it makes them scream? Sometimes I just don't understand the human species.

A Package for Bear and the Girls !

Dear world,
The other day we got a package addressed to Bear and the Girls from our friends the Rainbow Cats - 8 kitties that live on Rainbow Ave! There were so many yum treats plus each of us got our own special present. The girls all got a beautiful scarf with matching bows picked perfectly for them. Rosy (they call her Rosebud) also got a special hat which she is beyond excited about. I got a really cool blue whale. I was so happy they spared me another dress-up.

Conehead Annie

Dear world,
Poor Annie. She has a sore paw that she wouldn't stop licking so she went to the vet. She had a choice between a bandaged foot or a cone. She chose the cone since she felt it was more important for her to take long walks than what she looked like. Rosy was disappointed in her decision and said she at least should have asked for a pink cone.

Happy Father's Day

Dear world,
Today is Father's Day so I would like to blog about my Dad. I am lucky cause I think I am a lot like him. Everybody loves me and everybody loves Dad. Like me, he is nice to everybody. He loves Mom almost as much as I do. And if he wasn't wearing his sunglasses in this picture you could even see the resemblance around the eyes. Come to think of it, the only major difference between me and my Dad is that I never get into trouble with Mom.

New diet

Dear world,
Dr. Diana sent Mom home with instructions for my new diet. The next thing I knew, she brought home this big pot and all this weird food. I recognized the spinach. and I think the brown packages were meat. But what were those weird round things? I think I will have Dad try this meal before I eat it.

Chinese Medicine

 Dear world,
Yesterday was very interesting. Mom and Dad took me to the Animal Healing Center.  I listened as Dr. Diana explained all about Chinese medicine. Then the doc started putting these tiny little needles in me.  I think it should be called porcupine therapy! Weird! I thought maybe I would get some Chinese food after, but that didn't happen. They did talk about a new diet for me though. Uh Oh.

Bye Brian

Dear world,
The other day I was so excited when one of my fave friends Brian came to visit. He and my Mom took Rosy and I to the beach. (Dad was with Annie on her power walk). Anyway, I had the best time until he told me he was moving back home to Wisconsin, land of the cheeseheads. Major bummer! But he said he would come back to visit. In the meantime, I hope he sends me some cheese.

Lucy and me

Dear world,
I went to the beach again the other day and I was so excited to see my friend Lucy. As we swam out into the ocean, Lucy asked if I wanted to swim out into the sunset together.  It sounded tempting, but I knew I only had 20 minutes, plus I would rather be with Mom. I wonder what I would have decided if that was Lu. (She never did call).

Ball Thieves

Dear world,
Yesterday Mom took me to the park. I was very happy playing catch, rolling on the grass and then relaxing with my ball. Then, this little girl came up to me and took my ball and said bye-bye. Her Dad explained that it was my ball and she had to give it back. After what seemed like forever, she came over and I got my ball back. Then the next thing I knew, I set my ball down and a squirrel tried to take it! I need to be careful of all the ball thieves at that park!

Package for Bear BearBear

Dear world,

I got  so excited the other day when the mailman brought a package addressed to me! It said Bear BearBear (my Facebook name). I politely opened the nice card first. It was get well wishes from my friend Wrigley and his sister Xena Schnauzer. Wrigley felt bad that he didn't send me pizza. But I was so happy, cause he sent me cookies that I can have for dessert! YUM!

Charlotte's dilemma

Dear world,
My little niece Charlotte is visiting us. She likes to sit with us and our tennis balls. I asked her to play with me and she threw the ball to me. But then Annie asked her to play with her. Since Charlotte is a little human, it is too much for her to play with both of us. So she has to choose. Poor Charlotte, she doesn't know what to do.

Pet Adoption Month

Dear world,
Today begins National Pet Adoption month. So we would like to be poster dogs and hope that we raise awareness about dogs that are available for adoption. If you want a purebred, you dont have to buy. You can adopt through shelters and specialized rescue groups. Annie (cocker spaniel) came from a shelter, Rosy (toy poodle) was a stray in the street and I (golden retriever) am from Retrievers & Friends Rescue. Bunnybell represents what wonderful mixed breeds there are for adoption as well. So why dont you consider celebrating this month by adopting a dog? Please?
