Storm Ross - La Tormenta
Are these sounds bordering on chaos and fueled by mysterious energy? One hundred percent yes, but before summing it all up into one or two descriptive blah, blah, blahs, deeper listening is needed. First, as with any beautiful composition, La Tormenta includes sonic diversity. Frenzied guitar work and edge of your seat receiving, transition to a world of wavering ambience and cosmic sonic vistas. La Tormenta plays like an explosion in the consciousness and soon after the initial detonation, a saturation of steady melody and rhythm fill the emptied space. This composition is gorgeous balance between vigorous guitar angles and imperturbable melodic bliss. A very wonderful treat from Storm Ross. As far as the cassette is laid out, the A side is the mind bender and the B side is the slow burner. Each of which is no where close to the extremes of noise or drone, but rather well concocted aural recipes for radiant excellence. Storm Ross' title track "The Reappraisal of La Torment...
