This last weekend we had so much fun going to a professional rugby game. We were cheering for the Pretoria Blue Bulls...too bad they were creamed by the Cape Stormers. I have to say that this definitely was a cultural experience. We couldn't understand too much because almost everything was in Afrikaans, but it was fun watching everyone. They all knew the fight songs and had their chants down...they were even singing American songs about the rain with their accents (which totally made me and Aaron laugh).
I went into the game not knowing much but I had fun. Next time I'll definitely be able to tell what's going on more and maybe even get into it...now if I could just figure their language fast enough I might be able to sing their fight song with them (ok, I'm dreaming, I know)
Here's some pics of the night
The sign says "The Blue Machine"
It rained right up until the game started...so we were a little wet.
The next night...we did tattoos again. I bought a package of markers that said "Ultra washable"...ummm...they lied. The kids still have marks from the markers. Luckily for me...on Monday...I found the REAL Crayola washable markers..so I'm sure there are more tatoos to come!
